It's take me too long to realise what I think is the most recent post is actually the thread header. I look quite often and think no one has posted, or that pidg just posts coffee cups often. Blush

Nutella what I thought was a sore spot under DD's chin turned out to be a fungal infection - the Dr basically said "Duh, you can tell because it's round". So, if its a circular sore spot, go see the Dr (or use some canesten on it).
I've been wrapping DD in a woven sling since she was about a week old. Are you wanting a sling or carrier?

utopian99 · 28/11/2014 17:48

We're still on the stretchy with A but I aim to change as soon as he masters his floppy head, poor thing. He's having a damn good stab at it though, and the midwife and HV were fairly impressed by how awake and nosy interested he is fora two old..
O is starting to get a lot better with him now his cold is going, which is nice - he's started kissing him night night and isn't phased about me bf-ing anymore..

PurplePidjin · 28/11/2014 18:35

You can do the muslin trick in a woven too, just leave the top rail a bit loose :)

I went and saw a lower body physio specialist today. He said my hip X-ray was the most dramatic he'd ever seen (I've got hip dysplasia) so has referred me for hydrotherapy as he doesn't want me having a replacement so young. Rubbish.

Ds' new word of the day: goat.

Hope you get some rest soon WL.

WLmum · 28/11/2014 21:36

That sounds nasty spotty. Is it congenital? I'm busy packing up stuff for an nct sale tom. When I'm done I'm going to treat myself to a glass of wine and a packet of Pom bears! How grown up and sophisticated am I?!

WLmum · 28/11/2014 23:00

And I rounded off with a packet of munchies!

SpottyTeacakes · 28/11/2014 23:22

Yes it is.

I'm an auntie again! My sister had her dc2 this evening at home before the midwives came Shock

WLmum · 28/11/2014 23:27

Yay spotty. Hope all is well.

halestone · 28/11/2014 23:48

Congratulations SpottyThanks

WL i am considering eating some chocolate crunch family size bar but i've been doing crap on my diet this week so shouldn't. Pom Bears sound amazing as well.

Nutella i hope H's neck is ok.

Utopian the way A is two weeks already that has flown.

Stacks i always use to read the OP and take ages to clock it wasn't the last post so i went into the settings and changed the direction of threads. So i always see the last post written and then scroll back to where i can last remember reading.

utopian99 · 29/11/2014 05:44

Hope H's neck gets better soon Nutella, like wl said, a spot of sudocrem can work wonders.

yay for your neice spotty! And good on your sister too..

am being an eejit but I can't remember what I put O in when we put him in the stretchy when v small. I'm sure a snowsuit is too warm/bulky, but just vest and sleepsuit won't be enough? Once he was older I know I just stuck him in in whatever he was wearing.

dh is settling O while I feed A at the moment - there have been a few nights where O wakes up and dh has to go to him, which is going to be much harder when pat leave ends on Monday..

WLmum · 29/11/2014 08:48

utopian An extra t shirt on top and long socks or leggings?
I've had a long lie in and then we're all off to costa for a treat breakfast as a reward for dd2 making an effort to be brave about school.

SpottyTeacakes · 29/11/2014 08:54

WL their sausage and caramelised onion toasties are delicious.

I really want to go and see my sister tomorrow as won't get another chance until Christmas but also we really need to go and get last minute bits for New York. I can get my stuff on Monday but dh wants some bits

WLmum · 29/11/2014 09:04

And I think T may be coming out in the pox! She doesn't seem bothered but has a big spot on the back of her head which could be the leader, and 6 more on her face. Can't see any anywhere else yet.

halestone · 29/11/2014 10:12

Oh i hope T is ok what a rubbish time to get chicken pox just before christmas.

Spotty could you not do both?

SpottyTeacakes · 29/11/2014 10:17

My sister lives in Kent so it's a bit of a trek. Dh is working today so we only have tomorrow.

SpottyTeacakes · 29/11/2014 10:25

WL I thought cp started on the torso? That said there's loads of it about atm as well as hand food and mouth

PurplePidjin · 29/11/2014 11:47

R was in vest, sleepsuit, hat and socks then dp's big coat over both of us. Fleece sleepsuit over his cotton ones for really cold weather :)

MrsNutella · 29/11/2014 12:16

Utopian I wear DD a lot, she is dressed warmly (knitted/wooly things when possible) and I have an insert that zips into my jacket to keep us both warm. It's also why I prefer the Moby. The material is really nice and thick and warm.

I also have baby legs for DD they are super handy.

Barbeasty · 29/11/2014 13:17

Don't forget that the sling is a layer, and you'll share some body heat.

I've just cleared the windows sill by the front door, also known as where I dump my post, so I can put a small christmas tree there.
The fact I found January's credit card bill, 2 christmas cards and a round robin near the bottom of the pile tells me that I should do it more often! I thought I cleared it in the summer.

SpottyTeacakes · 29/11/2014 15:42

Nephew in hospital with low blood sugar Sad my sister has lupus so he's got his own personal care plan from before he was born.

halestone · 29/11/2014 16:08

I hope he's better soon Spotty and that your sister is ok Thanks

Barbeasty · 29/11/2014 16:32

Hope they're both ok quickly Spotty

I've booked for both DC to do a horse ride to see father christmas. They'll do it on A's birthday, so he'll finally get to ride a horse again. They just had a hat that's sort of small enough for A.

WLmum · 29/11/2014 19:38

beasty sounds like my house - i found some Xmas decs and cards on the spare bed last night under a pile of nct sale stuff
spotty poor things. I hope they feel better soon.
Certain T has the pox - it's most commonly head and trunk spotty but can be anywhere. She's not bothered though - fx that continues.

SpottyTeacakes · 29/11/2014 19:54

Ah ok. Have the older dd's had it yet?

WLmum · 29/11/2014 20:45

Aibu to be annoyed by the big issue seller in our village? I always buy from her and often give her more than the cover price. I know her name and always have a chat with her - it's got to be pretty miserable standing there all day. However, she constantly tells me that it's her sons 7th birthday and she doesn't have the money to buy him a cake, or that she's run out of milk for him. Clearly it's not his birthday every week! She asks me for extra money. Several times I have refused (nicely) and it's really starting to piss me off. Of course I have way more than her and am very lucky, however I feel that I'm doing my bit, and we are very careful to stretch our money and ultimately she's not my responsibility. Am I a big meanie?
