Sorry for bad nights
GT nursery is great for that, they watch and learn from the other children. Plus the herd mentality means they eat too. My DC both eat really well at nursery. DD is in the pre-school there (which is NOT nursery, pre-school is for the BIG children, Mummy
) and they sit at big tables and help set the tables, serve the food, pour the drinks etc. I imagine S in his room "helps" the other DC finish their plates
but he is very good with his spoon and fork now, really well coordinated. Although when hungry still shovels fistfulls into his mouth!
We still have a stair gate top and bottom but like Paisley's H, S thinks he is big and wants to walk all the time and not hold hands anymore. Eeek. He's quite careefully footed so imagine we will be able to get rid of them soon, but not just yet.
YW is J telling you before he wees or after or during? S is very good at telling me "wee-wee" after it has happened if it has gone on the floor (he spends a lot of time naked
) or literally the second the wee has started. Not yet noticed him telling me before. He's not ready yet but will move nursery rooms around 2 and will see the other children and that's what prompted DD's training - ahead of my preferred schedule (S was 8 weeks old then!) and we have the potty from DD which she still sometimes uses. S likes to sit on it for a mili-second and then proudly wee elsewhere a minute later. Will be interesting to see whether moving up a room at nursery has the same impact as it did for DD.
Well done on the exercise stunt and wanda and others. I went to the gym this morning for the first time in an age and survived.
eliza how was Wolf Hall? I was jealous to see you were off to see it.
Hi kyz how is E now? all recovered I hope?
VQ fecking teeth. And YY to developmental leap and appetite - S has always eaten well but he out ate my 27yo DBro on his recent UK visit one breakfast time. Weetabix, fruit, toast, full english, porridge. I dread the teenage years.
Not great here - its so hot but thankfully we are spanking on electricity have fans so that helps. My hayfever is bad atm and I have a horrible, horrible cough. Yuck. But it is my staff summer party tonight, pirate themed, and I have my pirate outfit and prosecco in my bag and DH is on nursery pick up, dinner, bath and bed duty. He loves it when I go out, my drinking of
vastly increases his prospects! haha
S is now just a week older than DD was when he was born. I cannot believe it. It feels like a massive milestone to me. Anyone else feel like that - odd personal milestones which feel momentous to you but aren't 'official' ones?
