Hope everyone finds this and I haven't doubled up!

I've got really bad back pain and ds is spinning on his zebra crying. No idea why!

Just been to the doctor as we're on holiday with family in sicily at 30 weeks. I'll definitely need a fit to fly by then, and when I mentioned it she gave me a lecture about dvt and clotting issues and near as dammit told me to cancel, which I really don't want to do. Has anyone done this on previous pregnancy? Surely if I wear travel socks and walk around loads during the flights it's not that much of an issue?

SpottyTeacakes · 06/08/2014 10:21

It's not like you're going to Australia utopian Confused

I just found three maggots on my kitchen floor. Gross gross gross. Think I might vom.

Ugh. And yes, exactly!

halestone · 06/08/2014 21:44

i have no experience of it Utopian, i think the Dr is cack handily just trying to give you current advice. I did think that airlines didn't allow pregnant women to fly after 28 weeks.

Spotty, we've had a problem with maggots in our outside bins, but when i have spoke to people their saying they have the same problem. I think its due to the heat.

Does anyone know how FoD is i think she was also due to give birth soon.

I think i am about to hit a brick wall, i've been working 6 nights a week in the chippy and also looking after my DN for 5 days a week. I am getting really tired now and just want a decent chunk of me time. I know that sounds abit selfish but its how i feel.

SpottyTeacakes · 06/08/2014 21:48

Oh hales you def need a break! Maggots were in our kitchen bin not our outside one Blush

Hope she won't mind me saying, fod had her dd just over a week ago three weeks early (sorry Nutella! Although not heard anything today...)

halestone · 06/08/2014 21:58

Thats brilliant news Grin .

Maggots are horrible little things Confused

MrsNutella · 06/08/2014 22:08

Yes, I'd seen FOD had her dd..... I'm still not at all jealous... I am still pregnant Confused

SpottyTeacakes · 06/08/2014 22:09

At least you don't have maggots...Grin

MrsNutella · 06/08/2014 22:12

No, but maybe the fright would have made me jump and my water to break.... Grin

halestone · 06/08/2014 22:45

Spotty, quick send Nutella a picture haha

SpottyTeacakes · 07/08/2014 06:14

I was too busy running away to take a picture! I'm not usually like that with bugs etc but these really grossed me out!

Well done to DS SpottyGrin

I took H swimming today apparently i am not allowed to hold her while she swims unless she grabs me first. She surprises me all the time with her independence. Tbh though she got the hand of movinh her arms and kicking her legs very quickly. Also climbing out amd jumping off the sides is the best fun in the world.

SpottyTeacakes · 07/08/2014 14:17

Just had to buy ds shoes again. Second pair in about a month Hmm

Hales her physical development is so far on!

Stacks · 07/08/2014 14:26

I need to take DS swimming again. He loves splashing in the water, but is nowhere near as advanced as H sounds hales!

Spotty you can buy an official Clarks show measuring thing online, pick it up in store and they'll train you how to use it. You could then measure DS for shoes regularly and get them second hand off eBay or something? Kids grow out of them so fast they're practically new second hand.

I'm struggling to find time to post these days. Just barely manage to read. DD has good and bad nights, luckily she seems to know when I'm about to die, and has a good night for me. Unfortunately it gets to that point quite regularly!

utopian99 · 07/08/2014 17:34

O loves swimming too - although he can't support himself without a hand under the tummy and we've never used armbands. Is H able to swim without support hales? That's pretty impressive!

MrsNutella · 07/08/2014 17:40

We've only taken DS swimming about twice Hmm we haven't found a nice pool yet and we struggle to stop him running around, of course then he slips Sad.

Spotty DS needs new shoes again I think. He goes up a size pretty much once a month!Shock

SpottyTeacakes · 07/08/2014 17:40

Not really stacks. Unfortunately the dc have feet issues and need to have decent shoes fitted properly!

We also have yum yum yum Grin

OP posts:
halestone · 07/08/2014 17:54

We're lucky in that H has had the same size feet since about febuary i think.

Utopian, yes she can support herself i think the armbands really help with that though. We've decided to make it a weekly thing now and take them the library which is just across the road afterwards.

Stacks are you BF your DD? I'm glad you had a decentish sleep last night.

PurplePidjin · 07/08/2014 18:18

I haven't taken R swimming in months, it's expensive round here and he doesn't like it much. He's a huge fan of the sea though :o

Another with slow feet, he was a 4.5 one side and a 5.5 the other had him measured last week and the small one has caught up - his first shoes back in January were a 4. I buy 2nd hand when I see them, he only wears them when out and walking, barefoot in the house and on long car journeys and often in the sling too in case he kicks Hmm My local independent are happy to measure him, though, and I've also used the one in Brantano to do it myself too

MrsNutella · 07/08/2014 18:40

I wish I was near the sea. That would be lovely.

hales DS needs his fifth size since his first shoes in Feb Shock. Ice managed to get some half price in the sale. He loves a walk to the shops but like R is barefoot at home/in the garden. He knows we're going "out" when we put shoes on and loves a good stomp in them Smile

No news to report from midwife's visit today. Everything good... Bean 2.0 staying where it is, but could decide to come out any second....

Maryland2013 · 07/08/2014 22:24

DS loves swimming. He's had lessons since he was about 3 mths old and still enjoys it now. Like H Hales jumping in is the best part. His underwater swimming is ace and he's just started moving his arms as well as legs for surface swimming. He's brilliant at getting out which I hope would be helpful if he ever fell in!!!

I'm pretty sure he needs new shoes. I have one of the Clarks measuring thing- must do that this week. I bought the next size shoes up in the sale ages ago thank god.

I've been making a note of all DS's words. I was so stressed when he only had 5/6 words at 18 mths old but 6 weeks on he's up to 20+. I feel like we get a new word every day at the moment it's ace :) tractor is the new favourite so his dad bought him one :)

Nutella I really hope babynut makes an appearance this weekend..

SpottyTeacakes · 08/08/2014 06:44

Bloody neighbours. Got woken up at 00:15 by a loud bang. Couldn't work out what it was (used to guns etc) then I heard neighbours teenage kids outside and another bang. They must have been letting off bangers ffs. We live in the middle of nowhere the only sounds round here at night is wildlife and church bells and they're out there being nobs. Obv everyone's windows are open as it's so hot. I leant out and said 'guys, you've just woken me up and I've got to work tomorrow' they all just stared at me so I said 'I'm pretty pissed off actually' and slammed the window BlushGrin I'm more annoyed that they didn't say sorry but they were probably in shock. Anyway I couldn't get back to sleep for ages Angry

What a nuisance spotty, would they apologise this morning?

hales would you recommend armbands then? He's always been fine without and I hated them but I know he'd also like more independent movement without me keeping a hand under him..
