Hope everyone finds this and I haven't doubled up!

I've got really bad back pain and ds is spinning on his zebra crying. No idea why!

ooooo exciting Pidj. I love spottys idea.

WLmum · 04/08/2014 20:54

Fab idea spotty! Love it. Crafty pidj could carve them into hearts and lovely things - beautiful with candles inside.
hales don't know - she woke up at 5.30 to tell me she was 'ot' - she was roasting, lots of water, calpol and nurofen then she slept til 9! World record (shame I was on the 7.54 train).
DH just trying to pack the car. Need to get everything done so we can do lights out at 10.

coffeeandcream · 04/08/2014 20:58

How long before your bump gets some midwife persuasion to get moving nutella?

Hallowe'en wedding pidj! Just think of all the funky decorations you could have, and the themed food...

Well F gave DH hell at bedtime over the weekend. I put him to bed tonight and he started to cry as soon as I put him down but once I started reading him a story he stopped whinging and laid down to listen. I sat by the side of his bed holding his hand til he fell asleep. He didn't try to get out of bed once.

I doubt nap time tomorrow will be as easy, we'll see!

MrsNutella · 04/08/2014 21:35

pidj can't wait to hear more about your wedding plans!!

hales thank you for the Thanks Smile

coffee I see my midwife tomorrow don't know if she'll do anything. Over the weekend I had some sort of slow gentle contractions - uncomfortable but gentle in comparison to "real" ones IYKWIM. And...

TMI

A lot of mucous show. Saturday night / Sunday... Seriously how much goo is there supposed to be? And why is this baby still in my tummy?!!

PurplePidjin · 04/08/2014 22:19

My lights are out but I'm cheating keeping the laptop, fish pump and baby monitor on Blush

Wedding will be very simple. Church, to which everyone is invited. Possibly some kind of tea/bubbly/cake arrangement in the church hall for an hour or so afterwards. Then lunch/dinner (depending on church timings) for family and travellers only, which is about 30 people. Dress is floor length with train-y type skirt in white satin with lace over, fitted at the top then flared from the hips. Bouquet will be lots of crochet and knitted flowers my lovely woolly friends are going to help with in white and teal and will be auctioned off for The Stroke Association afterwards to say thank you for all the support they gave DP. Once I get my date from the church, I need to get DP and R matching suits, find a jacket thing and some shoes to go with the dress (in teal) and book lunch - I have a couple of friends who work in local pubs/restaurants to contact about that. All invited children can be bridesmaids/page boys if the want; parents can just put them in party clothes and they come down the aisle with me I'm secretly hoping for superheroes and fairies and all sorts of kid-chosen outfits and that's about it!

utopian99 · 04/08/2014 22:22

Feeling for you Nutella* I went bats waiting for O last time. Tried every old wives tale but found that Accupuncture was the only one that even vaguely worked (although shagging was a fun way to try...) will hope if you've had a show it's not long now though.

Ill bods here's to swift recoveries.

pidj hurrah for not waiting too long!

We have another word - O finally said mama. Grin am so pleased its a bit sad.

halestone · 04/08/2014 22:33

Pidj, if superheroes and fairies are what your secretly hoping for, i would just ask your friends to dress their kids up wearing those costumes. I bet they would be thrilled to do so.

Nutella, i had a show on friday with H then started with regular contractions on the wednesday had her on friday morning.

WL, i hope you are fast asleep and that you have a brilliant holiday.

Coffee, congratulations on getting DS to sleep so easily i hope he stays asleep all night.

Now in other shocking news H is asleepGrin and has been in her cot since 9:50 pm wooooohoooooo.

halestone · 04/08/2014 22:34

Utopian yay for Mama, i bet you were thrilled to hear itGrin

PurplePidjin · 04/08/2014 22:55

hales I'm sort of hoping for boy fairies and girl superheroes, but most of my parent friends will probably go with naice party clothes; if the parents absolutely have to buy a new outfit, I want it to be something the dc will get some use out of I do have one or two i could prime though :o

yay utopian :)

ddas · 05/08/2014 06:35

Wohoo for mama utopian so lovely when they say it.

pidjin plans some good- nice & stress free :)

nutella the waiting is horrible- you analyse every twinge and get more & more uncomfortable. Hopefully though the show is a sign things getting going.

Dd's 5.30 starts are killing us. Really having an impact on normal life as just feel tired all the time which makes me more grumpy and makes any little things seem worse. Nothing we've tried has worked and maybe I just need to accept it and go to bed at 9.30 latest. Thing is when ds sometimes doesn't get to bed till 8.30 sometimes (although normally 8 and dd 7.30 ish) you then need time to clean up, dinner and wind down. Sorry for the moan just tired lol

ddas · 05/08/2014 08:07

Sound not some

coffeeandcream · 05/08/2014 08:57

ddas. I feel for you, F also has been waking at stupid o'clock in the mornings, but not wanting to nap more or go to bed earlier. He's really struggling and it makes him grumpy!

nutella, fx things get going Brew < more disgusting yummy raspberry leaf tea for you

F is coughing a lot again. Usually mean he had tonsillitis, so we're off to the doctors later.

WLmum · 05/08/2014 10:24

That's really tough ddas. I always had the same problem of dd1&2 not being in bed til 8.30 so early bed means no dinner, chores, chill time. Have you tried the technique that someone here posted a link for? Could you try 3 nights a week to get to bed asap (super quick dinner - ready meal, beans and egg etc) and 4 nights stay up a bit. DH and I are so bickery when sleep is scarce.
Nice work hales and coffee

PurplePidjin · 05/08/2014 12:00

at Dr waiting to see nurse. felt better yesterday pm but lots worse now. fx for anti-b's or some kind of immediate treatment!

PurplePidjin · 05/08/2014 13:02

Nope, olive oil and ibuprofen and go back next monday for syringing Sad

MrsNutella · 05/08/2014 14:24

pidj you could try the German method. A chopped up onion pressed to your ear. I haven't tried it and I'm not exactly sure how/what you're supposed to do.... But well, you're welcome to test it out... Smile

Come on baby Nut! Midwife is visiting in half an hour. I'm hoping she has news for me Smile

SpottyTeacakes · 05/08/2014 14:49

Pidj dp had the most horrendous earache last year. Had to have prescription painkillers he didn't sleep for ages. Once it was finally syringed the relief was immediate. You could try a hot wheat bag and if you're in pain ask for something stronger.

My car still isn't fixed they've had it a week now Angry

Nutella go do some bouncing on a trampoline but don't forget the tena Wink

OP posts:
halestone · 05/08/2014 14:56

Pidj, i've read about Nutellas onion theory somewhere as well, its meant to have really good results.

Ddas i don't know what to suggest as we have the opposite problem. H refuses to go to sleep until really late usually, which means no chill out time for me and DP alone.

Nutella i have my FX that the midwife brings good news.

SpottyTeacakes · 05/08/2014 15:10

We've had 5:30 wake ups too but at least ds goes to bed at 5:30 and dd 7/7:30

OP posts:
halestone · 05/08/2014 21:59

i'm always so gutted when Heidi doesn't go to sleep as well as she did last night. I'm gutted it must of been a one offSad

MrsNutella · 05/08/2014 22:18

hales boring old consistency is key! Keep doing whatever routine or plan and I'm sure you'll get a reliable bedtime for H. Even if it's a late bedtime it'll be nice to know when you get to sit down with DP.

News from midwife is that things are happening and have changed since I saw her on Friday.... Just need to figure out how to get things going now. Hmm

SpottyTeacakes · 06/08/2014 06:19

Exciting Nutella!!

utopian99 · 06/08/2014 09:00

Yay Nutella and babynut2.0!

O woke up at 5.30 this morning too - no idea why. Having a quiet ish morning then hopefully a sensible nap and back to normal. My bro and mother are here for supper with bro dropping off bags prior to coming to stay with us in two weeks for a month or so after a contretemps with his erstwhile flatmate. He has promised much babysitting though, yay!
