Hope everyone finds this and I haven't doubled up!

I've got really bad back pain and ds is spinning on his zebra crying. No idea why!

It took about an hour for her to eventually settle - my repeatedly giving her water didn't help but I think the noise of the fan I set up did. I was with her most of the time and relented and picked her up once but she was too wild for me to hold! I remember doing this exact thing with dd1&2 at this exact age. She is tired but just doesn't want to miss out anything. With all the crying my boobs have filled up again. It wouldn't be fair to feed her though so I'll just have to ride this one out.
Tomorrow is supposed to be even hotter but then storms - yay - love a good storm.
honey I agree with spotty. Just keep plugging away. There's not much more you can do at this age. Definitely remove him from the situation for bad behaviour and definitely ignore the tantrums.
T is such a climber - I caught her today standing on her change table, having used a big chair as a step, shouting out the window at dd2 - and all in the time it took me to flush her nappy contents!

WLmum · 17/07/2014 23:21

Such a girly household here - T can now say mermaid and sings 'go' and 'more' from frozen.
When I took them all straight in the garden after school today to jump in the paddling pool T took me back inside, got my mug out of the cupboard and said 'tea'. Bless that little beast!

WLmum · 17/07/2014 23:22

R is going to be one cool dude!

PurplePidjin · 17/07/2014 23:36

WL I LOVE the tea thing, that's awesome! I'm expecting R to come back from his little holiday which is now three nights thanks to my daft boss deciding it's a good idea to meet at 6 fucking am with a thing about Disney films Hmm

They're all cool dudes and dudettes :o

PurplePidjin · 17/07/2014 23:48

thunder has just hit, think I'm furthest south? wind has been south westerly lately so look out surrey, berks etc in the next hour or two Smile

SpottyTeacakes · 18/07/2014 01:20

I haven't seen a storm like this in ages. It's so loud! Our gazebo may not survive Sad

Impressed with your weather knowledge/predictions pidj storm did indeed come! Not much sleep had here - dd2 was woken by the storm so cuddled with me til it had passed, then came in to say she felt sick a bit later, then came in to be sick a bit later after. Poor thing. She's been sick again this morning and is looking quite poorly. I need to pop out to the shops still so DH will be on duty for a bit.

SpottyTeacakes · 18/07/2014 07:34

Oh no WL! Hope you don't all get it. It's still quite muggy too.

Hi, we have a problem with biting but unfortunately distraction doesn't work but putting her in the corner does as it gives her time to calm down. She then says sorry and gives a kiss.

WL, i hope Dd2 is feeling abit better.

We got two bursts of thunder at 9am this morning but thats it.

Our family cat passed away yesterday we had, had for 20 years. So there were alot of tearsSad

MrsNutella · 18/07/2014 14:49

that's a bit nifty HQ.

It's too hot. I'm too pregnant for this. I'm tempted to fill DS's pool to the brim and willow in it... I would look like a hippo stuck in a too small tank though.....

WLmum · 18/07/2014 16:16

nutella do it do it do it!

PurplePidjin · 18/07/2014 17:35

HoneyMum21 · 18/07/2014 19:12

Do it nutella and take pictures

SpottyTeacakes · 18/07/2014 19:47

Dd is being a complete nightmare at bed time we don't know what to do. She actually got into ds' cot which obviously made him cry hysterically. Ffs. She just will not go to bed.

Oh Hales I'm so sad for you.. We were heartbroken when our cat died at the end of last year :(
still can't look at his picture it's a bit pathetic

Poor Nutella I hope baby appears soon before you self combust

WLmum · 18/07/2014 21:06

Boo spottyi hope they're both asleep now. I had the opposite - T only gave a moderate effort for about 10 mins and then settled after my first visit.
Personally I'm not a huge fan of such hot weather but the dds are having such a great time with the paddling pool, it's awesome. Real kind of freedom of childhood stuff larking about in the nud. T was sitting in there making 'tea' - 'hot'!

WLmum · 18/07/2014 21:09

One of the reasons I won't entertain the idea of a pet is I can't handle the grief! Before dds I had 3 pet chickens and I cried for each one and worried lots when they were ill etc. my 'girls' were quite famous at work and when the first one died, 3 people in my office cried!

Barbeasty · 18/07/2014 21:18

I hope you're in the pool Nutella!

Sorry about the cat Hales

Spotty hope they're in bed now.

We had lots of demanding cuddles from DD. First night back and she missed me! A was fairly chilled, but happy to feed. I managed to get enough signal to call both nights, but last night DD cried for the whole call, telling me how much she missed me and loved me.

It was a good few days, and we painted a dorm at the youth hostel. Apart from my boss' s foot print on the carpet it was a good job....

Barbeasty · 18/07/2014 21:20

And WL we had chickens when I was little. Each time one was got by a fox Mum got a chicken for Sunday lunch and tried to tell us it was the missing bird....

WLmum · 18/07/2014 22:38

Glad you had a good time away beasty. Although it can be tough I actually think the odd time away is good for everyone. Your mum had a wicked sense of humour!

Looks like we've got more storms coming tonight. Be great if it brings the temp down a degree or 2.

My last day at work tomorrow!

halestone · 19/07/2014 00:10

It was amazingly hot working in the chippy tonight i felt exhausted after just an hour.

Beasty i agree with WL your mum sounds like she had a brill sense of humour.

WL i hope you enjoy your last day at work.

Nutella i would be living in the paddling pool and occasionally throwing bubbles into it and then not having to have a bath.
