Hope everyone finds this and I haven't doubled up!

I've got really bad back pain and ds is spinning on his zebra crying. No idea why!

hales I can believe it is pretty horrible working in a chippy (and almost any kitchen) in the heat. But every time you mention the chippy I miss real chips that bit more Smile

beasty those poor chickens.

I like the idea of chickens but I can't really imagine DH going for it... And I don't know what we would do with them in the winter Hmm cook them?

I didn't get in DS's pool in the end. It was too much effort and would probably have been too cold. It isn't very big, but it is disproportionately deep... I had a cool bath instead - less grass, bugs and toddler wee. Grin

ddas · 19/07/2014 12:42

hales what was the name of that great paddling pool you found?

Dropped off the thread past couple of weeks but will have a quick read through to catch up.

ddas · 19/07/2014 12:43

nutella hope the thunder storms have come to you too and cooled things off a big. Being big and pregnant over the hot summer miserable but soon you'll have a lovely little newborn to enjoy the long summer days with.

SpottyTeacakes · 19/07/2014 13:42

After two days in the garage my car is still broken and I scraped a pillar in the car park. Ffs.

Hi all, what are you up to with your D. In this horribly hot weather. We're hiding indoors, it's just too uncomfortable to be out until a bit later.

We took F for his first proper haircut at a hairdressers this morning. If had a special room for young kids, with toys, a Disney film playing and racing car seats. It was great! Although F hated the tickly bits of bug hair falling on his face.

coffeeandcream · 19/07/2014 14:37

Ouch spotty, that sounds expensive :(

utopian99 · 19/07/2014 14:41

Really feel for you Nutella , I'm a way behind you and feel vile, fat and just a bit sickened by myself. I love O and am looking forward to the new small but I hate hateHATE being ppregnant and having so little control over my body.

Also O was sick in the night last night at about 11pm - I only found out because I had a funny urge to check on him as we didn't hear on the monitor and he wasn't really awake. Really scary as I think it was heat related and we wouldn't have known if I hadn't checked.

We have more words though! Dada, no, uh-oh, go (shouted at trains and from the top of the slide)

SpottyTeacakes · 19/07/2014 14:48

Ds has another tooth and I've only just noticed Blush

OP posts:
ddas · 19/07/2014 16:06

Dd got a few more teeth months ago and nil since. Still lots of gaps!!

coffeeandcream · 19/07/2014 19:09

F just pooed in the bath, and DH didn't even notice Angry

MrsNutella · 19/07/2014 19:49

Sorry coffee that made me chuckle. DS has pooed in the bath recently. Twice. DH was nice enough both times to tell me about it and then leave the poo in the bath for me to scoop out. He showered DS so that he wasn't covered in pooey bath water anymore.
I cleaned the bath and all the toys the first time. The second time I got DH to do it and told him to scoop out the poo immediately if it happens again.

(One of DS's bath toys is a sieve for this exact scenario and I got it free from a Tupperware party but really don't need another sieve)

coffeeandcream · 19/07/2014 21:35

nutella, a sieve, what a great idea! [off to pound land on Monday]

PurplePidjin · 19/07/2014 21:49

Sieve also useful for water births, no? Wink

Sorry, been awol for a couple of days. Work thing Friday, my folks had R - they finally got firm with him and he went to sleep at 10:30 just as I arrived to collect him Hmm at least now we know he will sleep for them not that I ever made any suggestions on how to go about it or timings that they ignored oh no and I slept till nearly 10 this morning Shock not sure I feel better, could do with a few more, but between that and the work trip and my mum saying she'll have him for the night again later in the summer hopefully I'll be back to fighting form soon enough.

I published a crochet pattern this evening, emboldenend by half a tin of cider then i polished off the other half in shock at my daring I'll pm the link to anyone who wants to see as it has my real name on. Someone might actually pay for something what I writ

halestone · 19/07/2014 23:18

Ddas it was called the Intex Dinosaur play centre. I really would recommend it.

Coffee i giggled as well. The warm water must have made his belly relax.

Pidj, good for you with the publishingGrin

Had a really rubbish day today, i'm not speaking to DP. Then H had a party to go to it took me half an hour just to persuade her to put her knickers onHmm . Then after an hour she was finally dressed, i took her she lasted 15 minutes and screamed to come home, so home we came. Then work and back home to a horrid atmosphereAngry

WLmum · 19/07/2014 23:37

Awesome pidj! Go you!
Boo hales. What's he done? Hope you sort it out soon.

Had my last day at work day. Sad to be leaving the lovely people - one of my regulars gave me a card and pressie and lovely flowers from my colleagues as well as lots of ego boosting comments from them! However, lots that I'm delighted to be leaving behind!

halestone · 19/07/2014 23:56

Everything and Nothing IYSWIM. Everytime i say no to H he says yes to and it really annoys me. Also he's made a few snarky comments and i've told him its not on which lead to a row.

utopian99 · 20/07/2014 08:28

Hmm that's not helpful of him hales, surely he understands the value of consistency?

Woo for the last day wl and good luck with the new job!

PurplePidjin · 20/07/2014 09:40

what's he going to say when she's 14 and wants her boyfriend to stay over or money for fags/booze? Angry get them used to No now while its as easy as a chocolate button and you can still pick them up!!

Barbeasty · 20/07/2014 11:13

Hales is he finding it a bit difficult now you're all living together full time? Is he rather cack - handedly trying to "push his authority" for want of a better phrase, does he feel you're carrying on as you were before moving to the new place and he wants to have more of a say?

But yes, entirely, to what Pidj said- whatever he's doing he's going the wrong way about it!

Glad the end of work went well WL. And good luck in the new job.

PurplePidjin · 20/07/2014 13:08

Gah, R's new "fun" thing to do is to spit water all over his bed as he's settling. He's not getting upset, just lies in the wet giggling till he realised that he's actually tired and can't sleep in a puddle, when he gets upset Hmm Short of taking his water cup away (not an option in this heat, plus it saves me trekking in and out with it in the night!) is this something I have to just ride until he gets bored? And am I a slattern for just slinging the wet one over the banisters to dry instead of washing 2 sleeping bags per day?! I did change the sheet last night, the nap time patch was small enough that I could pop him down to one side...

WillYouDoTheFandango · 20/07/2014 21:31

Could you take his cup away after he's had a drink at bedtime then pitot back in when he's asleep Pidj?

I've caught up but forgotten most.

Lovely week in Rhyl (not sure if I've said that already?). J being a nightmare to get down tonight. Not surprising as he had a 2 hour nap until 4:30 Hmm

halestone · 20/07/2014 21:43

Beasty, i hadn't thought of that tbh. Thank you everyone he's just getting on my nerves with it. He's been out all day today watching the open and i've just finished work so no talking yet i'll give him half an hour and i'm going to bed.

Willyou you choose a lovely week to go away i hope you had an amazing time.

Pidj i like Willyou's idea and thats what we do with H. Let her fall asleep having a drink then move it too the top corner of her cot. She still wakes us though.

WLmum · 20/07/2014 23:04

Hope things have improved hales. I agree with beasty and pidj.
We left the dds with dm and went to my wealthy childless dbs for lunch. It was lovely but I def drank too much champagne! their lifestyle is such a contrast to ours, it's crazy imagining what it would be like without the dds!
Big 2 were cute today, playing their games and insisting on sleeping in the same bed - I really hope they don't disturb each other.

utopian99 · 21/07/2014 06:45

O has had another bad night - sick at about 1pm but not much so came into bed with us, then woke up at 5.40 very upset but accepted a bottle and some calpol, fell asleep and then really sick at 6.20. Poor little man is now asleep again on me, wrapped in a towel. Dh has done his best to sponge me down but I got a direct hit.

is there a bug going round? Thought it was the heat theoother night but he's had the fan with him the last two nights now...

SpottyTeacakes · 21/07/2014 06:47

Poor O, not sure re the heat everyone reacts differently. Dc's room has been 30 degrees most nights Hmm
