J has decided he is Iggle Piggle. He keeps doing the dance and singing the song and throwing himself on the floor. Great. Except when he has had a teething nappy, said nappy has leaked, and there are brown marks all over the floor.

GTbaby · 09/06/2014 21:00

Yes pass he has a spacer.
Reading the instructions again I think I'm doing it right. But it's so hard to work out if H has take 5breaths. So maybe I need to hold on longer.
Poor kid I feel like I torture him.
On that note better go check on him.

Passmethecrisps · 09/06/2014 21:09

Sounds terrible gt. Poor all of you.

I can think of worse people to be than iggle piggle. Is it weird that p has only ever had 3 poosplosions in her whole life? Hers tend to be pretty solid

BigPigLittlePig · 09/06/2014 21:24

Sounds lovely, not weird, Pass. We still have one at least every other day Envy

Passmethecrisps · 09/06/2014 21:54

Sorry - that sounded smug. It wasn't meant to

PurplePidjin · 09/06/2014 22:00

Thanks PR and GT

SIL deliberately exposed dn, her own child. Her business. Who has had this week off school, having spent the weekend with my R, who I wouldn't have deliberately exposed. Which makes me cross. But she's lovely and i love her to bits so now I've got a sleeping ds who I left hysterical but settled 5 minutes after I'd gone where he's been struggling all evening the last couple of days I'm a bit more philosophical about it! From stories here he's unlikely to get it - dn is 6 and relatively hands off with R (they play dressing up and chasing together but no chewing of toys etc) so I don't think I've unwittingly spread it around. Think I'll carry on as normal unless I get any definite signs.

Perse I hope you have a lovely, calm week Thanks

VQ got any wraps hanging around from your cloth adventures? Might be worth popping one over the top. I think I passed all my spares on to Stunt to try and help with the same problem but if I find one hanging around let me know if you want to try. Much easier to wipe a PUL wrap clean than get teething poo out of carpet!

Pass R is normally solid but the teething ones are like a cross between wallpaper paste and weetabix Envy My mum had to deal with a cacastrophe last week but that's the first time he's had one like it in a while as he has all 16 expected teeth now.

I have no idea re asthma in babies but several of my adult friends are badly affected and are really struggling this year with all the pollen Sad

Hope wee P is ok and family Crisp are able to breathe again now Wine

YellowWellies · 09/06/2014 22:05

Just avoid wee babies and preggers ladies - seriously bad karma to put them at risk. I avoided toddlers groups for that reason.

YellowWellies · 09/06/2014 22:12

Just been checking the odds of catching CP. Woah Shock Shock Shock Shock its catching! Apparently 90% of unvaccinated kids will catch CP if exposed to a contagious person for just 15 minutes indoors. I'm amazed J didn't catch it - though we mostly played outdoors in pal's gardens so maybe that was why he escaped? Or just sods law that he'll get it when I've a fragile newborn. So Pidj maybe best to assume 90% odds he will get it and adjust your plans a bit?

BigPigLittlePig · 09/06/2014 22:15

Wasn't smug, Pass. Am genuinely Envy of solid poos. Now there's a statement I never thought I'd make Smile

Kyz · 09/06/2014 22:17

Evening :) cannot believe Rik Mayall is dead. Am stunned, he's such an important figure to me. Such a brilliant man

zamboni that's interesting re water, e is obsessed with water, will play in the dog bowl or toilet if i'm not careful (i have taken to locking the bathroom as it was literally every five minutes)

no advice to add pp but i dont think putting him back in nappies would be a step backwards or anything :) hope he doesnt get CP bless him

bless him and you gt sounds like you've had quite a day of it - how is H now?

e's eczema is worse with the heat too, it's quite sore on the backs of his knees/elbows

lol pr clever LO

eek bless her pass hope she's alright? poor p! Not weird re poosplosions, e only has them now really when teething. Or i think it's teeth that've caused his recent few.

E has been chewing like mad today, I think he must be teething, but oddly he is eating ok. I am not complaining, I am glad I have one less battle to fight with him atm. He has been quite good today though which was nice :) He doesn't seem to be enjoying the heat. Not sure what to do with him tomorrow, hoping to take him somewhere in the morning, perhaps to the park and I need to nip into town for some shopping.

I can't for the life of me remember what else I meant to say :/

PurplePidjin · 09/06/2014 22:29

Oh dear, I shall have to walk him to Lidl in the morning (can sling him round) and not go to breastfeeding group. Damn it, cheap chocolate stocking up. Bye bye diet!

GTbaby · 09/06/2014 22:32

Argh. Lost post. Not done that in ages.

H is breathing good. No wheeze. So feeling happier.

Was so hard dealing with him and A is also poorly. And fh was at work.
And mil kept telling me to give H whatever he wanted to stop him crying. Hmm
Really? Really! Wtf really?!?

YellowWellies · 09/06/2014 22:37

Pidj I know its a real f*cker Sad Sad Sad Sad Sad choc definitely deserved! Wishing you good weather so at least he play at the GPs garden.

Wotcha Kyz!

J's poos (gosh imagine if he read these threads as an adult hahahaha!) are sometimes solid, but can be explosive if he's had too much soy or any dairy, or is teething. His eczema disappeared last week after a steroids course but its coming right back now he's on trace soy Sad . Its never bothered him but his wee elbows can look so sore.

He's very lovely at the moment. Vair cuddly and sunny. This morn he made me laugh following the mog round the garden shaking a pack of dreamies cat treats. Grin

PurplePidjin · 09/06/2014 22:40

GT tell her what he wants is less people in his face and the best way to do that is for you or her to move out Wink I know that's not a viable option for you but hopefully makes you chuckle

YW are you going to remove the soy again or might he build up a little resistance if you carry on?

GTbaby · 09/06/2014 22:45

Oh pp. it did make me chuckle.
I'm going to finish my post on FB ...

YellowWellies · 09/06/2014 22:50

We've been told to keep a low level of soy in his diet so long as he's not in discomfort. Its only discoid eczema at this level. Much more than soy flour in bread and he does tend to get sleepless and funky of nappy. So its a balancing act - he's able to tolerate more and more as he grows but I'm wary of increasing it as he's doing really well ATM.

Oh and there must be something in the water - DH, noting Jonas is sleeping thru 95% of the time, suggested cutting his meds Hmm. I was like "sure if you do the night wakings!"

BigPigLittlePig · 10/06/2014 06:39

Morning all.

Pikz · 10/06/2014 07:12

Morning.

My brother and his wife emigrate this morning. I am very very sad Sad

Kyz · 10/06/2014 07:43

Morning all.

Hugs pikz :(

Horrible night last night . Must've had about 2 hours sleep. What are all the babies sleeping in? It was 25 degrees in e's room last night and he wasn't happy about it. I suspect he is teething too but he ended up in a short sleeved vest and a thin fleece blanket. I will dig out a cotton sheet for tonight if that's better/safe. He was just so uncomfortable. I changed his nappy too because he kept tugging it and saying weelee so I wondered if his poor weelee was a bit warm and uncomfortable.

PetiteRaleuse · 10/06/2014 08:09

Sorry kyz but weelee, sore or not, makes me crack up every time. I too am v sad about Rik Mayall. Other than his great tv comedy work Drop Dead Fred is still one of my favourite films.

DD1 slept 12 hours ( !) and LO had trouble getting to sleep (28 degrees in her room) but once she was asleep was ok. Today's mission while they are at nursery is to play with the shutters and windows as the sun goes round the house to keep it cool ish.

Today should be the last v hot day this week. Hopefully.

We have been able to test the pox vaccine the last few weeks as there have been several cases at nursery and it seems to have worked fx. I know some kids who have been vaccinated but still had it three times! I guess the jab doesn't work on those people who don't just have it once? I dunno.

Tonight I have to go to the farm and pick up my giant collection of meat. Hoping to be back in time for nursery pick up at 5.30. It's about a 15 minute drive so am going to get there early and be the first in the queue.

PetiteRaleuse · 10/06/2014 08:11

pikz I have had five people that I have considered to be best friends emigrate down under (do I smell that much?) since I was a child. Skype and facebook really help. It's sad though, every time.

Wandathewindfairy · 10/06/2014 08:14

We must be the only ones who can still snuggle in In A vest long sleeved pjs and a regular sleeping bag.

Wee lee makes me crack up too. Sorry. We call them dangly bits.

I will catch up properly later, I must get weeding before the rains come.

When I have completed the marathon weed I will take a photo and share, but not till then!

Wandathewindfairy · 10/06/2014 08:15

Big hugs pikz.

ValiumQueen · 10/06/2014 09:18

Hugs Pikz.

J is in a baggy vest and pj trousers. He has his 4.5 tog duvet and either pulls it up or wriggles out so he is fine for controlling his heat. I am shocked at the price of pjs. I buy very little new, and buy pants and socks and pjs in the sale, but there has been nothing for boys whatsoever and DH will not let me put him in pink. I am going to find all the ones DD2 has grown out of and dye them all navy, but until then he is still in his 12-18 bottoms and I bought some 4-5 vests as I am determined to get value out of them Grin I promise not to dye the nighties.

PurplePidjin · 10/06/2014 09:30

hugs pikz

nappy and babygrow no bag here. and last night he slept 6-6:15-8:30 Shock Shock Shock
