Wtf has gone on with fred in my absence? You are so quiet!!!!

BigPigLittlePig · 27/04/2014 19:42

Think we were all moping for you pr. Welcome back. My brother used to get paid a ridiculous sum of money for feeding pur neighbours cat. I was always v Envy. Awkward for you though if the parents are a bit ragey.

PetiteRaleuse · 27/04/2014 19:59

I used to get £50 a week at least for neighbours' dog and cats. I figured inflation...

Passmethecrisps · 27/04/2014 20:00

It has been quiet.

lily and vq you have just made me snort!

I neeeeeeeeeeeeeeeed to sort out P's behaviour. I am worried she is becoming a brat.

Passmethecrisps · 27/04/2014 20:04

I think that sounds fine pr. When I lived in the country we repaid neighbours by a gift from holiday. Now it costs £8.50 per night for the cattery.

Personally, I reckon it is a bit rude that he has got cross. He could just hand the cash back if he is so bothered. What a strange response. I will bet the cat is just punishing you for being away

PetiteRaleuse · 27/04/2014 20:27

I started a thread and am being told off...

BigPigLittlePig · 27/04/2014 20:36

Passmethecrisps · 27/04/2014 20:40

More telling off? Am off for a looky see

PetiteRaleuse · 27/04/2014 20:53

Link

Lesson learned.

Passmethecrisps · 27/04/2014 20:55

Personally, I think it is bullshit and the parents are being rude.

Anyway, have you brought back a massive suitcase of hula hoops, galaxy bars and lilt?

PetiteRaleuse · 27/04/2014 20:59

Archers, pickled onion monster munch and salt and vinegar squares....

ValiumQueen · 27/04/2014 21:00

we have missed you so Dahling

ValiumQueen · 27/04/2014 21:02

Pics on FB of the Jacket. I used to be a biker chick once, with a size 10 jacket and size 8 leather trousers. I used to wear a black lace crop top. I was HOT once Grin

Passmethecrisps · 27/04/2014 21:03

Om nom nom.

I don 'to work in KG. Only stones and pounds. So you could tell me you were 500kg and I would have only a very vague sense of what that meant. I do know sort of but struggle to visualise.

I was appalled recently to be in a conversation with a very trim lady a work who was telling me she has joined fricking weight watchers because she is 'sick of being so fat'. She must be at least half to 3/4 stone lighter than me.

Name change to passmethelettuce imminent

Passmethecrisps · 27/04/2014 21:04

I have never been hot.

I can see you rocking the leather and lace look vq. You have the 'tude for it

ValiumQueen · 27/04/2014 21:06

You are one HOT Mama Pass, and don't you forget it Smile

I was very slim, very muscular as I was a gym bunny, but my boobs were non-existent, indeed I used those chicken fillet things. Confession time - who has used those chicken fillet things? Grin

Zamboni · 27/04/2014 21:08

At least you were hot once VQ! I've never been that trim!!!

Urg. Stupid bastarding smart casual non-description dress code. And bloody S is asleep in my bed as usual meaning I can't try it on to become even more indecisive and self-loathing decide and I'm leaving super early tomorrow. Still, a day out the office with Wine is the trade off once I finally get a grip!

ChasingDaisy · 27/04/2014 21:32

VQ if I don't wear a padded bra I look like a 12 year old boy Grin

PurplePidjin · 27/04/2014 21:45

I have strawberries, raspberries, potatoes and a useless plum tree in pots on my patio/terrace thing.

I bought a potty in the 99p shop aaaaaaaages ago just because I saw it. R knows what it's for, because one time I had to use the loo and took him with me he pointed at his potty. But shows no inclination to use it, and I'm not pushing. It lives in the bathroom and I sometimes pop him on before bath time and ask he he wants to go weewees, but he hasn't yet.

I also have never been hot. Have cracking norks but a flabby tum and many zits. Have resigned myself to it now!

R had a whale of a time with SIL and big cousins :o I am v knackered, and pondering taking his Easter egg off to bed with me. Too much driving, but I'd be worse if I'd stayed and driven home tomorrow with work in the evening. Second period in 3 weeks on the implant, glad I've got the doc booked!

GTbaby · 27/04/2014 23:56

Haven't read back mum.
Pr I kind of agree with the folks Blush
Personally I disagree with paying kids to do chores (I may eat my words lol) maybe the parents are similar and are trying to instil general "nice person" qualities in their kid.
Or they may be worried their kid will try and help you more in the hope of getting more cash?

Wandathewindfairy · 28/04/2014 08:18

Morning.

vq I need a bit of a boost to look in Proportion. Blush

I do agree with kids being paid to do chores. I think they should learn that you have to work hard to earn your money and that they have to save for things they want. It also teaches them to mange their money.

Maybe the best way round it pr would have been to do the money side of things with the parents. However, I wouldn't t worry yourself about it too much.

Back to close to normal this week. I am Working from home this week. That means ts afternoon, tomorrow, wed, and thurs. Is a bit of a juggle. Boys are with grandparents this afternoon, I don't know where I have to drop them off though as they have DN too. Tomorrow is nursery, wed grandparents, thurs juggle as they have DN. I don't know how I would do it if I had managed to go back indefinitely. Is one of those grr moments, all the ILs say if I worked Grandparents would have boys. But when it comes to it if they have DN then they can't have both boys and she always comes first. But then when we say about the boys going to nursery then everyone gets offended. Obviously just because I'm working from home doesn't mean I can just not work.

I am on a 500 calorie day today and thus am destined to be grumpy! Grin

flouncymcflouncerson · 28/04/2014 08:52

I have the day from hell coming up. Occ health review and a meeting with manager and HR for absence management! Great fun eh?!

PetiteRaleuse · 28/04/2014 09:52

Our new car broke down this morning. Thank hod it didn't happen when we were away or travelling back.

I intended to go via the parents but the kid turned up at the house and it just seemed easier. I do believe in paying kids for chores, like wanda for the same reasons. In life you don't get something for nothing and I'd have paid an adult cat sitter (though not an adult neighbour - they'd have got flowers). It would have been different if they asked me for favours but they rarely do. We are quite isolated socially in this area and the neighbours generally ignore us especially me apart from their kids. All our actual friends live in Paris or elsewhere scattered across the world.

She definitely knew I was intending on paying the kid. Anyway....

House cleaned, bags unpacked, bookshelves creaking under all the new books I brought back. Going to do some ironing but first will upload a pic of my midlife crisis jacket.

PurplePidjin · 28/04/2014 10:32
