Morning Smile

No gt after reading the replies I very happily realised I don't need to do them as often as I have been so didn't bother Grin

S had a good night last night, she's had a few bad nights of late so I was pleased.

I need to start tracking my food on MFP again, I was doing quite well when I was and since I haven't for a while I seem to have gone to pot.

We have the last ever dexter to watch tonight.... Think we will start homeland next.

pr boooo to the hayfever! mine started a few weeks ago, it makes me utterly miserable Hmm

fruitpastilles · 29/04/2014 07:11

Oh vq I mustn't have seen your post! sorry you had a bad night! I wouldn't have said about S if I'd read it. BrewBrewBrew

Pikz · 29/04/2014 07:22

Oh VQ huge huge hugs

Right airport shortly. Shall see you all when I'm a mrs!

fruitpastilles · 29/04/2014 07:39

I must have read the thread with my eyes closed this morning,

Yay to P for doing a pee pass

pikz have a lovely time, you must must put a few pics on Facebook. Xx

YellowWellies · 29/04/2014 08:16

VQ crap! Sad Look away now.... We had our first good night in ages. One settle about 9ish and he's still asleep with no reflux cough. I consciously limited his soy intake yesterday after noticing he has had a pattern of bad nights following pom bears (which have quite a bit of soy in them) and that seems to have done the trick. Clearly he can take soy but not too much Hmm. Lucky chap I had wondered if it was dairy free chocolate causing the trouble and that was next on my banned list - but he snarfed a LOAD of dairy free choc raisins yesterday - so they're clearly not the culprits.

We keep waking up to a house at odd temperatures as SOMEONE can now adjust the thermostats on the radiators Envy .

YellowWellies · 29/04/2014 08:16

Whoop whoop Pikz! Enjoy! xxxxx

Elizadoesdolittle · 29/04/2014 08:19

PetiteRaleuse · 29/04/2014 08:22

pikz have a wonderful wedding. Can't wait to see the pictures x

Zamboni · 29/04/2014 09:32

Hope you have a wonderful day pikz!

ValiumQueen · 29/04/2014 10:28

Fruit never change what you would write according to my whining please Smile and never apologise for having a good night.

Pikz have a wonderful time Thanks I look forward to seeing the pictures and hearing all about it.

J has still not vomited, not even once, since we stopped the formula. I think it is incredible. The coughing he is doing would have always resulted in vom. Always. I know he has vom in his future, but at least we will know it is because of a tummy bug.

PR yes, you are right. They are becoming violent creatures and are finding out what weapons they have at their disposal. It will pass in about 18 months I believe.

J's nails are falling off :-( He has Koko and fortified cereals and vitamin drops, but he is still lacking calcium. Could someone please do a linkey to the drops they give? I think YW gives them? Not all his nails are mankey, but two have fallen off, and two are shedding. Poor little scrap.

Wandathewindfairy · 29/04/2014 10:45

vq I noticed on Sunday that O has manky nails on his toes. Is this calcium? He has stacks of the stuff? Or is just make nails?

Have a great time pikz I too can not wait for the photos!

Lily311 · 29/04/2014 10:58

O got into my first choice of nursery. The bad news is that she will be in the same group as my neighbour's kid who beats her up all the time. I just feel sorry for the nursery teachers as the more O will cry, the more the other kid will hurt her. That's why I don't socialise with them anymore, that kid already knows that she is stronger than O (only 2 months older than O) and the parents never ever stop her or tell her off.

pikz yey! can't wait for pictures.

My microwave blew up last night, the smell in the flat is horrendous. All the windows are open though. Any idea how to get rid of it?

ValiumQueen · 29/04/2014 10:59

I am guessing it is calcium deficiency with J as it started when we stopped the formula. Teething literally leeches the calcium out of them, so maybe that is why ours have wonky nails at the moment? Interesting to hear of O's nails - makes me feel a bit less of a bad mother Confused I do not remember the girls having this problem, but they had dairy with each meal.

ValiumQueen · 29/04/2014 11:01

Lily good news on the Nursery. Do not worry about O being beaten up. They will not allow that, and will ensure the issue is tackled. It would be worth having a chat with them about it so they know what to expect. No ideas about the smell, sorry.

Lily311 · 29/04/2014 11:03

I am not worried about O vq, just feel sorry for the nursery teachers. I can visualise them trying to separate the girls all the time.

Zamboni · 29/04/2014 11:46

Also interested in calcium drops as we have cut dairy too. S drinks the fortified Oatly so it may be fine but v interested. Do people also give multi-vitamins too?

VQ I find the change in S incredible too. Cough all but gone. Skin clearer too. Nebuliser totally not required. Happy boy who's sleep isn't perfect yet and not at all in his cot but the improvement is astonishing.

I sometimes feel bad for not clicking it sooner but he is happy now and coughing less so that's what is important.

Lily perhaps this other child will grow out of it? Good news on the nursery of your choice.

My health kick start is v imminent. Only able to contemplate it now that sleep features. I have been back at work for very nearly a year and S finally sleeps well enough to contemplate kicking my massive overdependence on sugar.

Elizadoesdolittle · 29/04/2014 12:10

lily that's brilliant news.

zamboni E has vitamin drops. The abidec ones. we hsve them on prescription from the dietician.

Actually I think she should also have calcium drops now too as she hardly has any milk. And vq now you mention it her nails are quite flakey, particularly her toe nails.

ValiumQueen · 29/04/2014 12:16

Zamboni I start my health kick on Friday. Gulp. I have still not even opened my Easter egg. I will look at the use by date. I just don't fancy it. No I am not pregnant.

I sent off an enquiry about fostering today. It takes at least 6 months for the process and I have said we are nowhere near the point where we want to start the application. Being a healthy weight is important for that, as indeed it is important for everything. I am hoping the thought of this might help motivate me. J needs to be sleeping before we could even consider applying.

ValiumQueen · 29/04/2014 12:17

J has vitamin drops, but only fairly recently. Just Boots ones. The vitamin D helps with absorption of calcium I believe.

PetiteRaleuse · 29/04/2014 12:24

We give vitamin D drops, have done since birth, but will be enquiring about calcium drops at our paed appointment next week. DD1 has her 3yo check and LO is having her mmrv booster

Lily311 · 29/04/2014 12:38

O gets vitamin drops too. She absolutely refuses to eat anything now, I think she has sore throat. Lunch and dinner time is a battle here.

Wandathewindfairy · 29/04/2014 12:43

Wow vq that is a bid decision! Amazing.

We use abide here too.

Wandathewindfairy · 29/04/2014 12:53

Abidec even

Elizadoesdolittle · 29/04/2014 13:08

Wow vq. Hats off to you. I think you'd be an amazing foster carer. I really am not cut out for that. Good luck with the application.

Elizadoesdolittle · 29/04/2014 13:16

DD1 has been to nursery every day since September. On the last day of term before Easter holiday I received a call to pick her up as she was feeling unwell. This was an hour before finishing time so she effectively missed an hour of nursery for the whole of the spring term. I've just seen she now doesn't have a 100% attendance record. Am I being petty to be really annoyed by this? probably am but still, what's a girl to do!.
