Ooh GT. Be good now Wink

ValiumQueen · 18/04/2014 16:39

I feel like poo. Breathing is challenging, and high temp. Bollocks. Feel like I have stuff stuck to my ribs.

Lily311 · 18/04/2014 17:54

Oh no vq, not again

Little girl is in bed. We fall out this afternoon, I ended up shouting at her and throwing her Brunyo across the kitchen. She sobbed and sobbed so we cuddled and made up. But her whining really got to me, she was clinging onto my trousers while I cooked wanting to read her the new books from library. Trivial I know but she needs to learn to be patient. On the other hand I need to learn not to give her the books till she finished dinner. Btw I read all but one after bath so she got her stories.

We've had a fab family day at the quiche approved Scottish safari park with Jonas' London cousins. Jonas has a distinctly pink nose and cheeks as we were all caught off guard by how lovely the weather would be. He's been guiltily smothered in after sun Blush Blush Blush Blush Spag bol for tea. And I'm busily admiring our joiner's handiwork - a new wall to wall shelving unit in the lounge! Smile

Wanda we ended up at the beach - well, the cafe for an ice-cream! I made R walk as far as he could, which ended up being about 0.8 of the 1.2 mile trip yes I google mapped it just now then I popped him in the sling home. Took an hour and a half to get there mind!

GT have fun :o

VQ hugs, can you get some rest, hope dh has a few days off for Easter and can shoulder some of the burden for a bit Brew

R decided he wanted his crayons after dinner so I cut some egg shapes out of paper for him to give as Easter cards to family. He did 3 with stickers and drawing on and has had a late night, into bed at 5:50 and is just singing himself to sleep now. FX he sleeps ok after all the fresh air and exercise and excitement, if he does 12 hours from now I'll be chuffed but am sceptical Easter Hmm

PurplePidjin · 18/04/2014 18:10

Oh and the crab risotto was a hit, will have mine with my cold cider once he's properly asleep Easter Smile

ValiumQueen · 18/04/2014 18:47

Lily, do not be hard on yourself. I think you are amazing. And so does O Smile

PP DH is working this weekend and also has the same bug. He is fast asleep on the sofa at the moment. My brother (the one I like) is visiting my parents for a few days so he is coming around tomorrow to play babysit while I sleep

ValiumQueen · 18/04/2014 18:48

And on Sunday I am going to my parents for the afternoon. And then it is DD2s birthday on Monday

ValiumQueen · 18/04/2014 18:49

I am going to buy a season ticket for the Safari Park for me and the girls.

StuntNun · 18/04/2014 18:52

Yep that was a snore, J is definitely asleep. This must be a record for him!

So there is a glimmer of respite-hope then? Thanks Season ticket sounds fab. R's too little for the only thing like that round here, might consider asking for it for his 3rd or 4th birthday though and making his grandparents take him lots

YAAAAAAAAAAAAAY stunt Easter Grin

Zamboni · 18/04/2014 19:28

Just a quick hello. Trying to get overexcited DC to sleep after arriving at Granny's house via some old friends. Lush day but I am desperate to join my family downstairs for Wine!!

Hope everyone has fab bank hols.

ValiumQueen · 18/04/2014 20:13

A glimmer for the old gimmer Wink

The Safari Park season ticket pays for itself after 4 trips. J goes in free. I have got one in previous years and was just about to buy one when I broke my ankle.

We could have the odd Haggis Meet there, as I fear we may soon outgrow Ikea.

PetiteRaleuse · 18/04/2014 20:38

A quick hello. Crossing went fine.

Currently munching on crumbly Lancashire cheese and crackers. Hope you all get a decent night x

ValiumQueen · 18/04/2014 20:45

Nom nom nom!

ValiumQueen · 18/04/2014 20:57

My neighbour is mowing his fucking lawn! It is 9pm FFS!!!

Pikz · 18/04/2014 21:08

L doing first night with no bag and just duvet.

PLace your bets now on what time he will appear by my bed. In the last two days he can put himself in his stokke high chair and climb out of the bath and get on window sills.

ValiumQueen · 18/04/2014 21:29

Wow Pikz!

11.17pm is my guess.

ValiumQueen · 18/04/2014 21:29

About two minutes after you drop off.

PurplePidjin · 18/04/2014 21:36

R's usual one is about 10 minutes after we get into bed, just as I'm getting nice and snuggly warm and drowsy with a book. So I'm guesstin L will be the same Easter Hmm

BigPigLittlePig · 18/04/2014 21:40

O blimey Pikz Confused 2.07?

VQ Brew

Pikz · 18/04/2014 22:25

Lots of drugs VQ and get well soon.

No appearance of him yet so am off to bed.

Big hugs to all.

Passmethecrisps · 18/04/2014 22:42

Aaaaargh. Just leaping in with excitement at a haggis meet at blairdrummond! Eeeeeeeep!! We have a season ticket obviously. During Mat leave in summer I was there at least twice a week. T'was awesome. And no one pissed down slides!!!!!!!!!

Passmethecrisps · 18/04/2014 22:50

We have had a lovely Friday. DH and I swapped as I have been off so he went to work. Slow start after a snooze in followed by a cooked brekkie. We then went to out closest park which I have never been to before.

Plus points -
Lots of nice stuff for p
Looks right into the fire station

Negative
Little boys piss down slides
It isn't well kept like the much further park

Anyway. I learned to keep wipes with me at all times and p chatted nicely to a lovely little boy who exclaimed what a beautiful day it was and how lovely that the sun was shining.

Then she had a massive nap.

Then garden playing for hours.

What do people have in their gardens for the babies? We have nothing at all. I fancy a slide but don't want to spend too much.

Then she handed me some stones while exclaiming "ooooo! Aaaaaaa!" Like they were diamonds. And in fact, ran away with the next lot she excavated.

Struggle with bedtime though. Her last first molar has taken over a month and still isn't through. All of her eye teeth are now also coming through.

Oh! And in all the excitement I forgot to give her her lunchtime dose of ab. She is neat at the end and I have her bedtime dose.

Passmethecrisps · 18/04/2014 22:55

Now fireworks!!! Why???!
