And pr We watched he masters of sex. Quite enjoyed it actually!

Zamboni · 08/04/2014 19:57

Happy birthday stunt.

I'll make my usual contribution: am reading but too busy to post often. Work is manic. I'm regularly smashing my time targets but to do this I am working at least 5 extra hours per day. S's sleep is better than it was but still leaves a lot to be desired. Every day starts before 5.30am. But I am surviving, just about.

Exercise isn't happening but a new gym opens here and DH and I got conned persuaded to part with our annual food shop budget a reasonable sum to kick our arses into shape. Starts next week when the gym opens. Personal training sessions and nutrition advice inc menu planning too. FX it works!

E did a poo in the bath for the 2nd night running. Today she handed it to me. Nice!

Elizadoesdolittle · 08/04/2014 20:27

VQ just joshing with you! No need to apologise, I call them my pensioner eyes. The good news is no one can tell what lenses are in my glasses

J is asleep in Big Boy Bed again after a battle of wills. He is getting there though. He is a bright boy. He has memory foam too, so it should be heavenly.

YellowWellies · 08/04/2014 21:24

Solo bedtime - my first since ditching the magic sleepy boobs went really well he was asleep in the cot by 8.10 and I only needed three renditions of the snail and the whale! Ten minutes longer than a daddy bedtime - am happy with that for a first attempt. Smile Less happy with having to find and put away EVERY single toy from the toy box and book from the book shelf after J and his cousins had wrought their magic Envy OCD brain is also restless at two missing blocks and one lost stacking cup. Bin? Handbag? Catflap? Confused

Sophiathesnowfairy · 08/04/2014 21:26

Can I just whisper

ChasingDaisy · 08/04/2014 21:49

Oh YW I feel your pain. I am currently missing a shape from the shape sorter (red square if anyone sees it knocking around) and it's driving me a bit mad. Under the sofa?

PurplePidjin · 08/04/2014 21:58

Please please please tell me we just had it, R is back to sleeping again which means I'm back to coping clinging on by a fingernail

MsJupiter · 08/04/2014 22:01

Wow I missed a whole thread. Happy birthday Stunt, Queen of thread titles.

YellowWellies · 08/04/2014 22:35

We always have regressions a week late (maybe because he was early?) which means its T minus 21 days for us. But I really really don't mind missing this one. Given he's sleeping thru 90% of the time now and its meant to whup sleepers and turn nonsleepers into sleepers. Wink

Pidj those bad few nights were it for you. Am sure. Jonas assures me he and Rafa have been in touch. Smile

ChasingDaisy · 08/04/2014 22:56

O had two very bad nights due to illness this week (seems to be on the mend now, fingers crossed) I'm claiming that as our regression.

PurplePidjin · 08/04/2014 23:17

YW these things usually roll across the Quiche first, giving me a week or two to live in dread anticipate them. FseriouslyX this was it a month early Hmm

BigPigLittlePig · 08/04/2014 23:17

Nice thread killing stunt and vq.

flouncymcflouncerson · 08/04/2014 23:25

I think I've got tonsillitis again.... This'll be the 3rd time this year Sad Sad don't have time for Gp tomorrow so will need to try for Thurs. Ugh!

GTbaby · 08/04/2014 23:52

Didn't even attempt crayon clean up.
Instead took 6 kids to soft play. With fh. Then lunch. Oh what hell.

Will google crayon clean up tomorrow.

Reading good night mr Tom ATM. Very sad. Part of a book group I join with oct13 mums. Next on our list is 12 years a slave. Might read chasing daisies as a break tho.

Hope your all well. Off to bed I go.

fruitpastilles · 09/04/2014 02:15

Uh oh, I think I jinxed it earlier when I said S's sleeping had improved. It would seem she's all of a sudden forgotten how to self settle. It took me 2 and a half hours to get to sleep. Only for her to wake up an hour after that. She has just woken up again and it's taken me 30 mins to calm her, I've come back to bed but she's still not asleep, I can hear her moaning over the monitor which I've just turned down, naughty mummy
She had a bad night last night aswell. She's 17months on Sunday, I hope this isn't the start of an early regression. The last one lasted far too long for my liking.

fruitpastilles · 09/04/2014 02:26

*to get her to sleep

Lily311 · 09/04/2014 05:35

Up 5 times. All she wanted was a cuddle and back to sleep but I did not get enough sleep for sure.

zamboni poor you! I don't know how you cope! you are a Wonder Woman. Also good news on the gym, once you get used to it you will love it.

fruitpastilles · 09/04/2014 07:13

Brew To lily and anyone else needing it. I've had to drag myself into the shower this morning to get ready for playgroup. I'm so tired. Hats off to all of you who do this regularly, I don't know how you do it. It's been a while since I've had nights like this I'd forgotten how horrible it is.

StuntNun · 09/04/2014 07:29

J hit all the sleep regressions a week early, must be because he was a week late. His birthday is the middle of the month so I usually get a bit of warning from the earlier babies. As Sophia said I didn't know anything about sleep regressions with my older two so ignorance was bliss. On the other hand with J being such a rubbish sleeper it's good to know the insane nights are temporary when you're bang in the middle of them. When DS2 was this age he had been sharing a room with DS1 for over a year so there was no way we had the same ishoos with him as with J. I would have described DS2 as a bad sleeper but that's probably more because he gets up in the night quite often, even now. I would say he didn't reliably stay in bed at night until he was about six years old.

J's sleep has been transformed since he went almost dairy free. He does still wake at night but is more likely to self settle and he doesn't do the crying for an hour, body rigid, tummy gurgling, needs Calpol sessions any more. I was so chuffed with myself at managing to get dairy-free potato cakes for yesterday's breakfast then DH went and fried them in butter. Confused In his defence he tried to fry them in bacon grease but they were sticking so he transferred then into the mushroom plan where he was using butter. So J had an inadvertent dairy challenge yesterday. He wouldn't eat any lunch then was quite grumpy by dinner time so it's possible there was a reaction but he slept really well. What a change from a couple of weeks ago!
