Morning quiche. Was woken in the night several times byDD1 kicking me in the face and head.

fruitpastilles · 13/04/2014 07:17

Good morning Smile

Yay for walking yw and flouncy

eliza I think YouTube is our friend on the hair thing, I might borrow my cousins dd and pretend we are playing hairdressers but really I'll just be practising so S doesn't look like she's been dragged through a hedge backward Grin

It's already bright and sunny here, S has a birthday party to go to this afternoon so I think a quiet morning in the garden will be nice, don't want to tire her out too much.

Wandathewindfairy · 13/04/2014 07:52

Lying In bed reading Northanger Abbey and I can hear DD1 reading 2nd Form at Mallory Towers to Dd2 across the landing! Grin

Wandathewindfairy · 13/04/2014 07:55

Brew for the nights.

ValiumQueen · 13/04/2014 08:03

Morning all. A better night here. J settled well, but woke at some point so I brought him in with us as too tired to do anything but. I empathise about being kicked PR, although your kicks were likely stronger.

Hair - I love plaits like in Little House on the Prairie Smile. In the summer, instead of drying their hair I put it in lots and lots of tiny plaits. My maximum was 106 once, on DD1. They wear their hair like that for a couple of days until it looks tatty or they pull them out, then it looks lovely all wavy.

Wandathewindfairy · 13/04/2014 08:06

How long does that take?

ValiumQueen · 13/04/2014 08:10

About an hour, but it is a lovely tactile bonding thing to do, and avoids the screams that usually accompany anything to do with hair. Great for holidays or camping.

ValiumQueen · 13/04/2014 08:14

You can also twist them into little balls and secure, so she looks like she has little knots all over her head. They both have hair that is far too thick for French plaits.

Wandathewindfairy · 13/04/2014 08:16

I like the knot idea.

PurplePidjin · 13/04/2014 08:51

YellowWellies · 13/04/2014 09:46

Jonas slept through but still managed to wake us at 4am - the wee sod had set the alarm clock in the downstairs guest room!!!!!! Hmm Envy

BigPigLittlePig · 13/04/2014 10:36

I loved Mallory Towers etc when I was growing up, wish I could be party to the book reading Wanda.

Feel a bit more human for a hot shower and coffee. Might go to bed at, ooh, 8 tonight.

Passmethecrisps · 13/04/2014 10:41

Wussup wimmins?

P decided that morning was 5:30 this morning. Ah well.

Passmethecrisps · 13/04/2014 10:52

ChasingDaisy · 13/04/2014 11:06

I luffs Mallory Towers too, your girls have excellent taste Wanda Smile

ValiumQueen · 13/04/2014 11:44

Smile I knew you had visitors. Hope it is going well?

Passmethecrisps · 13/04/2014 11:56

Parentals are gone but we have people for lunch - delayed now due to train problems so finally getting some peace.

ValiumQueen · 13/04/2014 12:03

Parentals Grin I like it

flouncymcflouncerson · 13/04/2014 12:33

I an barely swallow.... I think I now have tonsillitis as well as the chest and ear infections. Last day of antibiotics today. Would it be silly to call nhs24 and see of I can be seen at OOH Gp?

YellowWellies · 13/04/2014 12:33

We're finally sorting the front bedroom into an office / spare bedroom today - its been one of the three dumping ground / junk rooms since we moved in. The radio is on the floor and Jonas keeps turning the volume up to max and changing stations. He turned onto a station playing 'Firestarter' by the Prodigy and starting some seriously euphoric dancing - no wonder he thinks Jo Jingles is shit - he's clearly got taste already! DH and I were wetting ourselves at his dancing! (Anyone remember the video to Fatboy Slim's 'Praise You'? Grin ).

PurplePidjin · 13/04/2014 12:50

Not at all Flouncy or just rock up at a drop in? You need ABs fast Thanks I find hot water with honey and lemon and a good dash of brandy soothes things in the mean time

ValiumQueen · 13/04/2014 12:56

Flouncy I would think they would want to review you after the ABs have finished, but certainly worth calling NHS24 and see what they say.

ValiumQueen · 13/04/2014 13:03

Yes YW I remember Grin just watched it actually. Brings back fond memories of my crazy yoof Blush
