We still bf twice a day too. Like juniper i wouldn't have a problem.bf in public, but we don't need to any more because she only feeds in the morning and evening. One exception was when i took dd to a and e last month, and i bf her to calm her down.

i think that people are surprised to see a toddler being bf because it is so rarely done in public.

mrsbug · 18/04/2014 13:04

We just took dd to soft play and she had a great time in the toddler section. Now i am sitting in the car with her while she sleeps it off while dp is getting some shopping

meringue33 · 18/04/2014 19:25

Hope everyone is having a lovely Easter!

MIL is here, she has brought LO a giant chocolate bunny with his name iced on it. I know whose tummy that's going to end up in and it ain't LO's...

Juniper we have scenes like that at the moment every.five.minutes. It's driving me mad Grin

I kind of wish we were still bf. It petered out around 13 mo when every time I offered he bit it :O An acquaintance of mine could not believe I was still bf at 1. He was like "it just seems so unreal that a baby that size is still bf!" He wasn't disgusted or anything just came from a community where bottle feeding was the norm.

My mum bf me til I was 1 and my sister til 2 so it was expected in my family. In fact I think my mum was pretty disappointed that LO was mix fed :(

Anyway, I came on here to tell you some really exciting news! LO has just learned to dance! He used to just shake his head to music but now he does a proper jig!

X

JuniperTisane · 18/04/2014 20:09

Ah lovely Grin. Dan climbed up everything DS1 did today. He is going to outstrip his brother agility-wise soon. His dancing consists of bobbing up and down on the spot.

AppleCrumples · 18/04/2014 20:25

juniper Ivy has full on melt downs when i try to hold her hand to walk..thank god for reins :) Did you find the Gruffalo?

meringue the dancing is so cute isn't it.

Now i no longer bf dp can put Ivy to bed but she gets really upset and just cries mummy the whole time :( poor dp. Told him he will just have to keep trying and she will be fine.

She is clingy with me at the moment and still trying to push dd1 and ds1 off my lap if they are having a cuddle. She likes all the attention she gets from her siblings but i think she likes the quiet when they are at school too!

Hope everyone is enjoying the lovely weather.

and salt i hope you are ok and coping x

Lora1982 · 18/04/2014 20:30

I still boob feed in the morning and bed. Id feel a bit odd quitting completely just yet, because they still need milk dont they? He slaps my chest and kind of laughs at the nip and dives on when he does get it.

He loves his dancing too does a dingle sangle scarecrow dance to ALL songs and music, very cute :-D

Went farm today he really enjoyed looking and touching the animals.

On another note ive managed to re-give up smoking... albeit for only three days so far but its a massive achievement for me. We both decided to quit dp for money for me is was more cos a lady I worked with just died from cancer. I realise you dont need to be a smoker to get cancer but it certainly helps so ive bit the bullet and feeling ok.... at the min!!

Salt I hope your getting support and looking after yourself.

glorious · 19/04/2014 07:25

lora that's fantastic, keep going! Smile

We do still feed in public, I'm just more conscious of it. E was down to morning, lunchtime and evening plus all night but now on my days off she wants to feed all the time, and still all night, which is beginning to be a bit much for me. I really loved it before but now she's so wriggly I just want some more space, especially at night. But not trying night weaning again for a good while if at all so I'm stuck with it.

juniper the pinetum looks great, we may need to make a trip.

Lots of dancing here but she mainly wiggles her bum. No idea where she got that Grin

lollipoppi · 19/04/2014 08:00

Lora well done to you and DP!

Salt, hope your ok?
Fourlegs how are you?

So, DD has always holds her breath when she starts to cry, I'm used to it now, however yesterday on the park she bit her tongue and held her breath until her lips turned blue, I shit myself and my friend thought she was having a fit! she was absolutely fine of course, I've never seen her hold it for that long before it was really scary

Going to make the most of this sunshine today before the rain returns tomorrow

CreepyCrawly · 20/04/2014 21:47

Nancy gave me an actual proper cuddle today. I was sitting on the floor, and I asked if I could have a cuddle. She came over, kneeled on my lap and put her arms around me, head on my shoulder and did little kissing noises. I could've eaten her right there & then! I cried.

Hope everyone's had plenty of chocolate!

fourlegstwolegs · 21/04/2014 09:34

Hello all
Well my ex took my little boy away for the weekend - he left yesterday morning early and is bringing him back tonight, late. I got really upset because he called me last night to tell me that the munchkin wouldn't sleep and was screaming, so we had to connect via the webcam on the laptop and I talked to him, turned on Ewan the sheep via the webcam and he stopped crying and went to sleep. I was heartbroken :(
Not to mention hours spent on the bloody breastpump....
I don't want to go through that again in a hurry. I don't want to block contact but 36hrs at his age (and while I'm still bf-ing) is too long for both of us I think...

AppleCrumples · 21/04/2014 13:46

awww creepy thatd so cute :) Mine has just had a monster tantrum after i tried to feed her lunch and blow it to cool it...bad mummy ;)

fourlegs thats so hard. Could you arrange for ex to have him just 1 night? or all day but drop off to you at the end? Its a lot for such a little one and especially if you're still bf.

Holidays are starting ti drag now! House is a mess and i'm 1 more game of monopoly away from leaving home!

meringue33 · 21/04/2014 14:56

Fourlegs have you had any legal advice? From what I've read on here bf is a perfectly good reason to limit contact. Try posting in Relationships or Legal?

Hugs to you xxx

fourlegstwolegs · 21/04/2014 22:56

Yes, I think exDP realised it was too much. Munchkin was very clingy and he said he found it really stressful and didn't even have time to shower!
For now, he will come and hang out here with Munchkin rather than taking him away for hours in the car.

Polyethyl · 22/04/2014 11:35

My LO threw a screaming, writhing tantrum on the floor of the women's institute Easter market. With all the ladies and matrons of the village looking on. Gave them something to talk about! They took delight to tell my mother all about it. I think they enjoyed the schadenfreude.

lollipoppi · 22/04/2014 14:18

Fourlegs, that sounds better for you all, maybe you could book yourself in for some "me" time whilst your ex has DS

I've had the dentist this morning and DD and DS both have their injections this afternoon, oh the joys Smile

lollipoppi · 22/04/2014 15:26

Back from injections, it was as delightful as expected Confused

Angielka · 23/04/2014 21:33

Hi all. Haven't checked in for a while but hope everyone's well. Cute cuddling creepy Grin Molly is a cuddler too (dd1 never was at this age) and accompanies her hugs with a big 'aaa ahh' which makes me smile every time. Salt been thinking of you and Floss. Hope things are not too bleak. Fourlegs sounds like cutting overnight visits makes sense for you all. Less heartbreak all round. Hope you're feeling ok too.
been meaning to take molly to a hairdresser but in the end I bit the bullet and trimmed Molly's hair myself. Quite proud - doesn't look too bad!

Lora1982 · 23/04/2014 23:43

I might do the hair myself too... seems silly paying a hairdresser

AppleCrumples · 24/04/2014 08:43

I had already cut Ivys hair myself a couple of times before we went to the hairdresser but I do not have a steady hand Blush Dd1 has curly blond hair that didn't need any kind of cutting til she was 2.5 but Ivy is the exact opposite. Local hairdresser only £2. boys were easier we just shaved their heads

Hope everyone ok.

lolli boo for injections, at least it's over now :)

JuniperTisane · 24/04/2014 09:06

I just got back home from the nursery run to find I had forgotten to buckle Dan up in his carseat Shock! I put him in it quickly while I took off the sling and forgot to finish the job.

I hate taking the boys for jabs. I'm dreading DS1s preschool booster which I've already put off once. Might make DH do that one.

Daniel hasn't enough hair for a haircut. It does seem to be taking on a reddish tone. Mum saw him on tuesday after a good few weeks and shrieked 'Ginger!' at him Angry. Can't lose her favour though as she cuts DS1s hair. He only needed his first cut just before his 2nd birthday.

Poly that is exactly what Dan does. Every day we have a comical strop which often includes him kneeling and putting his hands and head on the floor in a 'woe-is-me' attitude. Stroppy little bugger.

On with the day - swimming followed by McDonalds for me before I pick up DS1 and have to be good.

lollipoppi · 24/04/2014 10:51

DD has had a temp following her injections, she's ok just a bit sleepy, not sure if it's related to the injections or just coincidence

Juniper, I told ds1 he was having his superpower injections, still didn't make the experience any more pleasant, but he now thinks he is invincible and keeps telling people he has super powers Grin

Birdies · 24/04/2014 14:55

juniper X has red hair and she gets loads of compliments. I think it's starting to go blonde but I want it to stay red! No cutting of hair here yet as I'm just using hair grips for her fringe. Cannot wait to make a proper pony tail though :)

poly how empty their lives must be if they took pleasure in telling your mum that - you should join her tantruming on the floor next time, really give them something to get excited about haha!

fourlegs glad things are sorted now and he won't be away from you at night.

JuniperTisane · 24/04/2014 17:48

Is X red? I always assumed she had dark hair Grin. I don't think it'll be very red when he's got more than a covering of bumfluff. More of a warm light brown/blonde I think. There are some definite coppery tones at the moment though.

DS1 will like the Superpower idea.

Just sitting here drinking my tea watching the boys playing in the garden. Dan is climbing in and out of the cozy coupe over and over again. Thank goodness his legs aren't long enough to move it or we would be in lots of trouble...

AppleCrumples · 24/04/2014 18:18

birdies I can get a ponytail into Ivys hair! Looks so cute, sadly bobbles don't stay in any longer than clips :)

loll hope dd ok.

Birdies · 24/04/2014 20:40

Got paranoid then that you knew me juniper but realised you would know her hair colour if you did! I'm dark you see (well, dark haired etc, Have Greek relatives & X is a Greek name, means golden so it suited her when we met her :) ). DH was red when younger and she's a mini version of him. Anyways, shameless excuse to post a photo as proof Grin Has mouth full of food here though :)

How about everyone posts a photo so we can see recent ones of all the babies?

Aw apple am jealous! can't quite get a bobble in yet!
