Oh gosh all these poorly babies Hmm hope everyone is better soon

JuniperTisane · 03/03/2014 11:07

Well Daniels ear is better, the swab did show H. Influenzae infection so the antibiotics were necessary after all. His eardrum is very slightly perforated though so no swimming for a bit longer.

Hope you're all feeling a bit better Bunty.

Off to drag the luggage out of the loft now. Long weekend in Devon beckons on friday...

BuntyCollocks · 03/03/2014 13:16

Oh, bless Dan, juniper, an ear infection is such a horrible thing. :( Hope he feels a million times better soon, and he's much better for your weekend in Devon.

Hope Dan is better soon! A little girl in our swimming group has had repeated perforated eardrums and her mum keeps bringing her to lessons. Poor mite cries until the teacher tells the mum to take baby away. Crazy.

DS has had his kitchen for nearly a week now and is still playing with nothing else, bless. I'm spending far too much time online looking at gorgeous wooden food sets! I desperately wanted a toy kitchen as a child and never got one, so I'm making up for it now!

Odd question - does anybody know how to clean the spout of a sippy cup? Ours look all mankey but I can't get anything in them to clean them out!

JuniperTisane · 03/03/2014 20:49

I just bung them in the dishwasher, I thinjnthey come out alright. off to look much much closer at them than I ever usually do

lollipoppi · 04/03/2014 09:49

Poor dan Hmm

Cupcakes that's really sweet, off to look online for kitchens

DD has discovered the cereal cupboard, rice crispies and Cheerios everywhere!

LetThereBeCupcakes · 04/03/2014 19:00

Sadly we don't have a dishwasher. Might have to take them round to my dad's and bung them in that.

DS has started pointing to his cot when he's ready for bed. So cute!

mrsbug · 04/03/2014 21:15

Cupcakes I don't have a dishwasher either, I just soak them in hot soapy water for ten minutes while I do the rest of the washing up, they always look clean

glorious · 05/03/2014 07:55

Poor Dan, hope it heals ok.

E is eating an extraordinary amount and took 6 sides at 4am Shock That was after a bedtime snack, too, which does seem to be helping her to sleep longer. I think I'll make her a large bowl of porridge tonight!

To add to the 'you are promoted.... oops no you're not' saga I've been paid the higher salary which is a bit of a kick in the teeth Sad

Lostbobbles · 05/03/2014 20:26

Wish everyone well yet again Hmm

Cupcakes get the dr browns pipe cleaners (you can buy them separately) they are marvellous for all sorts of things.... sad existence I live

DD2 still not great, DD1 is having a midlife crisis teachers words were 'god help you when she's a teenager!!

But hey the sun was out!

JuniperTisane · 05/03/2014 21:03

You'd never guess Dans ear was bad. He's just as blatantly cheeky Hmm. We went to the farm today and he ate all his sandwich, a banana, several hundred grapes and then started in on my friend Emma's pasta Shock Greedy piggy!

Glorious does that mean they will take the extra back then? How crap are they!?

Hehe Lolli we have that too. Usually its the breadsticks flung willy-nilly from the cupboard across the room.

glorious · 05/03/2014 21:20

Yes, they will take it back, probably all at once if others' experiences are anything to go by!

Glad Dan's not too sorry for himself. Clearly it hasn't affected his appetite!

JuniperTisane · 05/03/2014 21:22

No our children do seem to be eaters don't they? Your employers appear to be a shower of shite Angry for you.

glorious · 05/03/2014 21:35

To be fair they are great at some things - e.g. very good for flexible working, giving part timers opportunities, taking people who want careers after children seriously. But the admin can leave much to be desired.

Operation porridge working so far. She had two dinners at the cm, loads of milk then a bowl of porridge then more milk all within 2 hours. Her stomach was enormous!

AppleCrumples · 05/03/2014 21:42

glorious they sound awful!

lost oh dear. I dread the teenage years. hope dd2 better

juniper Flowers Is dan having a growth spurt? Ivy seems to be eating heaps too...half my pancake disappeared off my plate ladt night whikst i wasn't looking..

AppleCrumples · 05/03/2014 21:44

x posted!

JuniperTisane · 05/03/2014 22:10

If thats the case, Apple, hes having a permanent one Hmm. Having proble with some trousers at the moment. Lengthwise he's growing out of 12-18m ones but widthwise they are like clowns trousers on him so he's wearing 9-12m but with half a leg showing out the end! I've resorted to tights for now.

Anyone else getting the screaming abdabs whenever they try to take over the toothbrushing? Full on tantrums here.

Polyethyl · 05/03/2014 22:24

Yes. Baby insists on complete control of her tooth brush.

And she's got teething pains - lower back teeth - so I'm letting her dictate how she brushes her teeth for now.

BuntyCollocks · 06/03/2014 02:40

Hand holding please :(

Dd and dh still not better. Dd just regurgitated a whole feed on me. Twice. Two new sets of jammers for us both in 5 mind.

I feel sick as of earlier this evening.

My period is now 2 days late. I surely surely cannot be pregnant? I never had sex at the right time! We used condoms when we did have sex!!

Oooh fuck.

BuntyCollocks · 06/03/2014 02:41

Oh, and to top off my shit sandwich, my teeny 3 year old has a fucking cavity in his very back left tooth. Because his fucking father doesn't always brush his teeth. I have taken over the teeth brushing after spotting it this weekend. Dentist is going to kill me.

Oh bunty Sad Sickness is the worst, especially at bedtime. Sending Thanks (but not too smelly).

I've heard cycles can be a bit off when they first return, and also illness can sometimes affect them, so don't panic. Could you bring yourself to POAS to hopefully put your mind at rest?

Tugstonia · 06/03/2014 12:43

Glorious So sorry your work have cocked up again, it's awful, what a bunch of incompetents. Surely they could take it back in instalments seeing as it's their mistake? Glad to hear Operation Porridge is working though!

Bunty so sorry to you too that everyone's still sick. It's more than likely the sick bug making you feel ill, especially if you didn't DTD at the right time, but maybe just POAS anyway for peace of mind.

Hope Dan's ear infection clears up soon Juniper.

DD also insists on full control of the toothbrush. I never feel like I properly clean her teeth because she just starts stropping when I try. She's got two new top teeth at the back and one more on the bottom at the front. I didn't even notice the top two bad parent my mum told me Blush. It explains all the dribble, grouchiness and runny poo though. She's basically moved into our bed now as well, point blank refuses to sleep in her cot at night. She's fine in the daytime though, what's that about?

AppleCrumples · 06/03/2014 16:00

bunty hope you all start feeling better. Maybe POAS just to put your mind at rest but it sounds unlikely.

juniper yes Ivy is qiute resistant to teeth brushing these days unless i.just give her the brush.

Poor Ivy has a fat lip! she tripped over her toys trying to get to the sofa to steal my food and wacked her face off side of sofa. Cue blood everywhere and lots of screaming. Calmed her down with a boob :) Oh the joys of toddlers

glorious · 06/03/2014 17:27

Well the saga continues in that now I really have been promoted (different job)! Grin That'll be quite confusing for HR... Not sure I'll believe it until I actually start and get paid though.

I think they could take installments tugs if I made a fuss but I knew it wasn't right so I've just left it in my account to be reclaimed Smile

glorious · 06/03/2014 17:29

poor Ivy will she stop trying to steal food?! Wink
