lolli sounds like good news, hope pain subdides soon.

I have been offered ADs in the past as anxiety (for no apparent reason) nearly led to a total breakdown when dd1 was a baby but i never took them. Have tried cbt which helps but fail to keep up techniques Hoping if i go easy on myself i will feel better soon. If not its back to the dr. Parents evening tomorrow so hoping i feel better by then so i can at least pretend to be a useful grown up Hmm

Yay Felix on the walking.

LetThereBeCupcakes · 11/02/2014 19:00

Apple take care of yourself - you too Lolli and anybody else not 100%

Well done Felix!

Tonight was my first night of putting DS to bed since dropping the evening breast feed. Total disaster. DH has had him asleep within 20 minutes for the past week. I rocked him, soothed him, sang to him, ANYTHING for an hour whilst he screamed hysterically, then threw up everywhere. So I BF'd him and he was asleep within 5 minutes. DH is NOT going to be impressed. I'm still going to be BF'ing DS when he 6 years old, aren't I?

Pascha · 11/02/2014 21:08

No you won't Cupcakes he will get the hang of bedtime without boobs, promise. If you persevere, maybe feed him downstairs away from the bedroom slightly earlier for a bit before changing to a cup, take the association right away, you can do it! Ds1 is only 3.5 and he's not even feeding every day anymore ConfusedWink. You'll definitely be done by 6...

Fantastic walking Felix! We're only at odd sideways single steps yet. Getting there slowly but surely.

Lolli glad the clot is going. Get well soon.

Off to nose at new photos now...

AppleCrumples · 11/02/2014 21:24

cupcakes i would second pascha. Ivy has bf just before bed but when i want to stop i will change from story, bf, bed to bf, story, bed then she will get used to going to bed straight after story so breaking the assosiation Actually ignore me pascha put it better Blush

pascha Dan will soon be whizzing about, love the sideways steps tho!

Birdies · 11/02/2014 21:30

cupcakes do you feed him something just before bed and give him a drink too? Just wondering if it's hunger more than comfort. Although I guess it can't be if DH has got him to sleep. How about wearing one of DH's tops to remove the smell of milk?!

glorious · 11/02/2014 22:46

lolli glad that it's improving though sorry you're in so much pain.

Go Felix! Ellen stood for 7 seconds unsupported today and is walking with barely a finger to hold so I suspect she won't be long. But who knows, there's no predicting these babies!

On a less positive note she has just thrown up all over my bed (I have the cot sidecarred again having given up on sleep improving tactics). Very clever of her not to get it on her side at all. Though she did then put her head down in it [boak]. There goes my quiet morning to do another promotion application and some prep for a meeting on Thursday as obviously I won't be sending her to the childminder. And come to think of it if it is indeed a bug as I fear (could have just been brought on by coughing so not sure yet) then Thursday is probably off too Sad.

Lora1982 · 12/02/2014 10:01

Lolli oh my god. I didnt Even know a clot on your lung could exist. I hope the painkillers are working for you!

I think dos had his much needed reality check. I stood my ground n made sure he knew he had to help esp when im at work the next day
. Dexter did me proud by giving him two very shit night shifts including a 3am wake up.

Off to a play place today, he loves it there. Going to try swimming or a tumble tots rip off next week.

Bit worried cos he's been off his food... He's got enough weight on him though. Seems to almost gag when we give him things I dont know if having diarrhoea has put him off food for a while?

AppleCrumples · 12/02/2014 19:25

Yay got throug parents evening! Anxiety settling down a bit now..have even managed to eat! Think its just been so long all the hormones etc was a shock! Even better all dcs are doing well, thoughi strongly suspect they are teaching different kids!!

lora well done on standing your ground with dp and well done dexter toi!!

Think sometimes after an uoset stomach they can go off their food a bit but have niticed that Ivy is sometimes not interested in food because she would rather just be runningaround mind you sheshuge so a missed meal is not a problem

Lora1982 · 12/02/2014 19:49

Two whole stone!!! Im thinking he wont suffer missing out on food either. Although I get scared he'll wake up hungry.

glorious · 13/02/2014 09:18

apples I'm glad you're feeling slightly better and well done to your DCs Smile Thanks

lolli how are you?

It's very quiet on here...

E has had a high fever (40.9!) and been miserable but not sure why. GP could see very sore ears and throat so could be that but if it doesn't come down I've got a cunning device to collect a urine sample in her nappy. Fun.

Pascha · 13/02/2014 09:33

Sad poor E. Hope she feels better soon. Dan's ear is now dry and crusty instead of manky and ooozy. He never seemed unwell in himself and temp normal so poor Ellen is worse than him.

Lora is Dexter 2 stone? Wowee. The appetite does start to diminish after 12 months anyway as their growth rate slows right down. I think its much more brain development for the next few months. Glad you sorted out your DP. Hope he keeps it up.

No swimming this morning due to manky ear so I have been passing the time ordering a new menstrual cup as I managed to flush mine down the loo last night Confused. Nice easy morning for us.

CreepyCrawly · 13/02/2014 13:20

Ear infections are the work of the devil, hope all babies are better soon. And you too, lolli.

Pleased to hear DP is pulling his weight lora.

Also pleased you're feeling better apples. It just comes on all of a sudden doesn't it?

We finally have power after 13 hours without! So had no internet, no phone, no heating, no hot water and, worse of all, no hair straighteners! I had to go to Clarks with curly hair! Got some really cute little shoes though so she can stop looking deprived at rhyme time.

BuntyCollocks · 13/02/2014 13:50

Just checking in. Glad things are getting better, lora and lolli, and hope Ellen and Dan feel much better soon.

My first week back in the office is going ok, my old boss just heard he's been offered management of a new area moving up, and wants me to come over to his new team - thrilled!

I also have cake, which I'm going to have with a cuppa at three. Going to try, again, to put a pic of Cameron up.

BuntyCollocks · 13/02/2014 13:52

Ah ha! It worked! It's from just before Christmas, don't have any good recent ones as I've just synced my iphone - had 11gb of pics!

Lora1982 · 13/02/2014 18:44

Very mischievous eyes in that photo bunty.... good luck with that one!!

I'll try put a new one up of fatty.

BuntyCollocks · 13/02/2014 20:07

She's a monster, lora.

She climbed on to the shelves at nursery, lay down and pretended to sleep.

What kind of a freak child does that?!

newbie6 · 13/02/2014 20:44

Hi everyone,

Hope all the sore ears go away soon! My LO has been snotty for what seems like months now, nursery told me it's totally normal for the first 2 years! He is nearly 2 stone but doesn't look chubby as he is tall but I'm knackered carrying him around! He also seems a bit fussy with food, sometimes he will eat, other times he flatly refuses and he is still having loads of whole milk so I'm wondering if I'm maybe letting him have too much milk? Does anyone else still give them their milk in a bottle or are you all using cups? I think I'm rubbish!!

X

happyhow · 13/02/2014 21:07

B is so dinky compared to the others! He's only 21lbs! and he's short. He wasn't supposed to get my genes on that one... Will try and get a photo up

He is also constantly snotty like the others. We don't seem to get much let up. He's also incredibly clingy just now but think that's from his jabs. How long did it take other babies to settle?

Glad your first week went well Bunty.

Also glad that the ear infections are clearing up. Smile

We're off to Pitlochry tomorrow for a long weekend. Hubby is 30 next fri but I've got half term this weekend. Just hoping there's not more snow... It's just about the worst road in Scotland if the weather is bad... Shock

meringuesnowflakes33 · 13/02/2014 21:24

Hope the sore ears get better soon

Hope you get well soon too Lolli

Glad you are feeling better Apples I am halfway through my second course of CBT on IAPT it's doing me the world of good. Didn't even realise til you said it that anxiety could be hormone related but my periods are horrendous so that makes sense. And they came back at six months!!

Love all the pics of babies. Can't make it work just now for some reason, annoying!

Newbie we still have lots of bottles, though he doesn't usually finish them. He has fewer on a weekend I just worry about sending him to nursery without in case he wants milk. When he moves up to toddler room I think I'll stop sending them.

Lora he probably is just getting over his wee bug. My LO goes right off his food when he's not well, either sick or fluey.

Lostbobbles · 13/02/2014 21:40

Finally made it onto laptop remembered, have put updated mug shot up. Loved looking at all the new pics, but it still shocks me how fast the time goes.

Lolli good news re clot, hope pain eases pisses off
Apples also nice to read you are feeling more positive

Wish all poorly babies well

DD1 back to school tomorrow, seems bit pointless as only one day left until half term but I need the respite despite managing to palm her off on mil for most of today

Some good came of her being at home, had the Speech T in to assess her. She has a mild lisp and with some exercises may improve, going to reassess in few months time.

Facepalm moment with the ST though. She was putting on her boots to leave and I looked at them and thought to myself, they look like my boots, quickly snuck and looked in shoe cupboard and sure I clocked mine so just thought we must have same pair. Then I get a text l saying she must have left with my boots and mine must be a smaller size, so off to the shoe cupboard and her boots are in there but are completely different!! To be fair I did put them away but they look like another pair i have honestly i'm not a shoe thief

Oh and later I managed to lose my car! brain

Jabs tomorrow Sad, my baby is going to hate me!

AppleCrumples · 13/02/2014 22:13

lost how didyou lose your car?!!

meringue i did cbt through IAPT ages ago but am wondering about another go just for support? The lasy day or so has been hard! I only made the connection a few years ago when i suddenky noticed i would suddenly be really anxious for no reason. Think having such a long break fron it all made it worse.

bunty

AppleCrumples · 13/02/2014 22:14

posted too soon!

bunty that made me laugh! Shes gonna be fun :)

Lostbobbles · 14/02/2014 11:49

Apple hope CBT helps Thanks

Re car, well I drove to Costco parked and then realised I left my purse at home, drove home and back again, did shopping came out and then couldn't find my car where I parked it! For ten minutes, I walked up and down every aisle in the section of the car park where I parked. Slight panic called my DH, who said don't be so stupid it has to be there, so walked again and then it suddenly dawned on me that I was looking where I parked car the first time!!!! yes I am that dumb. Was crying with laughter.

Creepy power situ not good! feel so sad for all the people affected by floods, truly horrific.

glorious · 14/02/2014 12:07

Oh lost ! Yet another reason I don't drive!

apples sounds like it's got to be worth a try.

I'm Sad because E is still ill and don't know why. I've managed to get a urine sample which is a start.

And I've been sent an email by hr offering me a promotion I applied for which seems to have been sent in error. For the second time Sad Line manager, start date, everything. But not my job apparently.

glorious · 14/02/2014 13:41

Should clarify, am on a list of people who were good but not quite good enough at interview so they appoint from that list when more jobs come up. First offer was in July. Gutting. The list expires in March.
