You can be on my typos team sebsmummy mine are terrible.

BigPigLittlePig · 11/01/2014 14:56

Flying visit to fred. Terrible twos have arrived prematurely in the pig house. 7 teeth here, still. Seems to have been teething forever.

Hope nice productive days are being had by all?

PetiteRaleuse · 11/01/2014 16:04

Not very productive. But the rain stopped so we got a decent walk. I am exhausted from v little sleep. LO had a bad night due to constipation.

Watched Life of Pi last night and can't stop thinking about it. It has been so long since a film moved me so much. Really must read the book.

Thechick · 11/01/2014 17:37

I loved life of Pi, 7.39 not so much. Made me a bit angry to be honest!! I watched superman man of steel and really liked that too. Not sure if this has been spoken about, still catching up but did anyone download the cartoon hd app. Its great, a bit too good to be true.

applepieinthesky · 11/01/2014 17:43

6 teeth here and several more on the way.

So DP called his parents today to tell them we could go to Turkey so they can meet C for the first time. Expected them to be happy only for them to say no they can't come in June because SIL has exams, can we make it a bit earlier or later. So we look at flights etc again, go back to them and say May would be ok, only for them to say no again.

I'm so pissed off, I don't want anything to do with them any more. Calm me down please. They say they miss us all the time, can't wait to meet C then any time we ask them to come and meet us in Turkey (flights, hotel and everything paid for by us) they say no Sad Angry

PetiteRaleuse · 11/01/2014 17:57

Could they be worried about the journey? Sorry apple it lust be very frustrating for you and for DH of course.

PetiteRaleuse · 11/01/2014 17:57

P. DP. Sorry.

Sophiathestormfairy · 11/01/2014 18:21

apple I sympathise with your frustrations. What about asking them to suggest a date before June iirc you have to go before then because of visas etc.

I spoke to the girls tonight and I asked their dad if he had had a chance to discuss half term and he said yes!! So yay yay yay. They are coming for half term and flights already booked! Within the deal window! Grin v relieved!

Lily311 · 11/01/2014 18:27

Oh sophia that properly cheered me up.

apple so frustrating. ((Hugs))

I had to rock o to sleep, second night in a row. Failed transfer a couple of times. My back is fucked.

MsJupiterJones · 11/01/2014 18:33

I am with you on the 7.39 thechick.

ChasingDaisy · 11/01/2014 18:40

Lily I sympathise with the rocking to sleep causing a fucked back. That was the main reason I started teaching O to self settle. Hopefully it is just a stage and won't last long. She knows how to self settle and is normally such a good sleeper so I'm sure it's only a short term thing.

apple I'd be fuming Angry

Bedtime from hell. He's still shouting. Had 30 minute feed, calpol and water is in cot. I have a splitting headache and just want my egg on toast and bed Sad

Lily311 · 11/01/2014 18:50

Just went in to check on her, sleeping sitting up. Moved her, hope she stays asleep.

Sophiathestormfairy · 11/01/2014 18:56

((((Hugs)))))) for pp

applepieinthesky · 11/01/2014 19:20

sophia they know we can't go later than June because of the visa situation and we can't go before May because it costs a heck of a lot of money, we need some time to save up first. We both work full time too and have to fit it in around work. They are both retired.

DP said he's going to call back and apologise because he raised his voice, I told him not to be so bloody soft. Fuck them. I'm booking a holiday to the Algarve and they can forget about us going to see them for a very long time. It just makes me so sad that C is missing out on having a relationship with them. He brings me so much joy and I wanted them to be able to share that but I'm not going to beg them to come on a free holiday.

Misslaughalot · 11/01/2014 19:27

Fab news Sophia, so very very pleased for you Grin

applepieinthesky · 11/01/2014 19:32

They done the same thing five years ago. DP hadn't seen them for about eight years since he left Iran, but after he got indefinite leave to remain in the UK and got a travel document sorted we asked them to come and meet us in Turkey. They said no because they didn't want to take SIL out of school. We said how about if only one of you comes and the other stays home with her but they said no. We suggested DP's other SIL could come to their house and look after her while they were away. They told us she couldn't then we later found out they hadn't even asked her. So now they've done it twice they've well and truly blown it as far as I'm concerned.

applepieinthesky · 11/01/2014 19:33

Glad you have had better news than me today sophia that is awesome news!

Evilwater · 11/01/2014 19:44

Well what a bloodly day. It looks like N is a walking toddler while having a permanent tantrum. I'm exhausted, and have ordered pizza. I really wanted a Indian but there is a 1 and half hour wait. Sad but it's the best around.

He's just been pushing all the boundaries, and screaming when not getting is own way. Also not wanting to anything mummy says. Sad
Evil

BigPigLittlePig · 11/01/2014 19:47

Great news Sophia!

Pidj I hope you're hanging on in there xx

Apple that sounds v tough. Such a shame they don't seem prepared to make the effort.

Busy day today as is dhs bday. Just putting a v overtired F to bed.

BigPigLittlePig · 11/01/2014 19:48

Evil you are not alone! Have some Wine with your pizza and relax. Tantrums are tricky.

Passmethecrisps · 11/01/2014 19:56

Evening ladies.

Hard day by the sounds of it. Wine Flowers Brew

The sun actually shone here in what feels like the first time in weeks. We headed to the park which is a good walk away anyway then let p roam free. She had a ball. Swings, slides and bouncy floor! Oh, and a roundabout thing with pedals on. She screamed blue murder when we had to put her back in the chair. If there is a window of sunshine at all tomorrow then we are going back. Think we all have SAD!

What do the babies sleep in? P has two pairs of jammies but is mainly in babygrows at bedtime. It's certainly not a biggie but I was idly wondering if p might be the last grow wearer?

evil and bp you both mentioned tantrums and the like. What is this pish about 'terrible twos'? It starts much earlier! P is, for the most part, easily diverted thanks to her goldfish like attention span but sometimes she really goes off on one. My sympathy to you both!

Hooray for common sense, reason and flights which are booked sophia!

Have you had your eggs yet pp? Egg on toast is lovely comfort food. I hope the wee man settles and his bowels choose to give you peace

Pikz · 11/01/2014 20:04

Fatima that wedding is right next to where I live!

L got new boots today and also went bonkers about going back in pushchair after an hour in the park.

Passmethecrisps · 11/01/2014 20:05

We need to et p some boots. Currently she only has one pair of shoes which are now clarted.

StuntNun · 11/01/2014 20:08

Great news Sophia when is half term?

Pass J has babygros and jammies but I prefer gros at the moment as it's so cold here.
