I'm planning on going back to work 1st September. As much as I love being off with Olivia at the moment I know I'll be missing work by then. We are in the very privileged position of Mil and Fil doing full time childcare for us. I am hoping I may be able to alter my hours to work condensed hours instead but will need to discuss that with work closer to the time.

Oh first post in the postnatal side!

frying, we were going to share maternity leave but the dh changed jobs and we didn't move so not really an option now. That's where the July return to work came from. Childcare is painful in London, but I need some adult time and my salary should still cover the mortgage and childcare.

Alice went 5 hours between feeds last night! Sadly I was awake as she was grumbling in her sleep and my breasts where killing me but it looks like we are getting there! Just waiting for one of the growth spurts and everything to change..

Hello all, been lurking again recently but not been posting since early pregnancy.

Anyway...back into it now, I had a little boy and a horrendous birth!! Here's my stats...will someone add me to the list.

Hugs to those who are having a hard time with sleep deprivation and crying, its hard. Henry doesn't cry too much but he feed as every two hours at night (I'm breastfeeding) and every hour between 6am and 10am!!

Had a lovely night with Persephone only waking 3 times, but that hasn't carried over into a lovely morning unfortunately! Much crying and cluster feeding chez nous today!

HV has been. Percy now weighs 9lb 10oz, and has dropped from 25th to 9th centile. Once again there is talk of paediatricians if it doesn't improve after the tongue tie divide on Monday. HV is pleased with her developmentally though after P delivered a fierce barrage of kicks to her tits whilst laughing. That's my girl!

Brilliant work percy!

We are back to hourly feeds...ugh. He seems to do this for a few days then has two or three really sleepy days, which must affect my supply, then we repeat the cycle. It is not fun.

Also looks like we might be heading back to Egypt sooner than anticipated. It will nice for DH to be back in work and have more space but I will not enjoy the sun and heat or the traffic. Also means I should probably look for work again. BFing will limit me to working in nurseries though, which I hate. :-(

I feel your pain on the hourly feeds altered - is Nour having a growth spurt?

Just read HV notes and she says I have described the symptoms of silent reflux and should go to GP if there's no improvement next week. Has anyone else's DC got silent reflux?
