Yeah I am waiting for her to do it. She won't. But in the meantime her seeing life going on just as well as before won't do any harm. It's her grandkids. She will no longer be personally sent pictures of them. She can wait to see a select few on fb like everyone else.

Elizadoesdolittle · 04/01/2014 23:17

pr I didn't comment on the fb phot but did get to take a peak before you changed it back. You looked stunning and your hair was lovely. She's obviously just a jealous bitter old cow.

All these stories of awful mil's has made me appreciate mine even more and I vow to be a mil to be proud of.

Sophiathestormfairy · 04/01/2014 23:20

Night night all. I am going to curl up with
Bridget Jones now Confused thanks for everything.

PetiteRaleuse · 04/01/2014 23:29

No soph don't!!! It's shite. Really vvv shite. Try a Ben Elton. Or anything but the new Bridget.

StormyIsles · 04/01/2014 23:45

M still asleep. That's been like 5 hours!!!!! I think my parents have fixed her (yes she slept through all 3 sodding nights they had her Envy ) I am scared to sleep but have some freelance work to do in the morning. Hmm

Are we the only people with Christmas decs still up? They are driving me mad but he being on nights and me having a real job where I have to leave the house is making it very hard to find the time to do anything about it!!

PetiteRaleuse · 04/01/2014 23:58

My decs are down and my dead tree is sat out on the terrace in the rain coming back to life :)

fruitpastilles · 05/01/2014 00:40

Very late to the party, but joining in the quiche cuddle. sophia and evil get an extra squeeze.

Dp and I have just finished watching series 4 of breaking bad. We started watching it 3 weeks ago. How many series are there? I don't want it to end. I'd never heard of it until I joined the quiche, so thanks.

Lily311 · 05/01/2014 04:51

Morning shift arrived, (((quiche cuddle))).

sophia what you said about the playroom broke my heart for you. You are amazing and I truly wish you get your girls back at one point.

evil no advice really but n will have fun without spending money with you. I would not worry at this stage, you did your best to raise him as a balanced and happy child by moving out.

Can't contribute to the wedding chat, never been married and never will be unfortunately.

Decs were down on the 27th. Next year it will be up longer.

Lily311 · 05/01/2014 04:55

pr you looked stunning on your wedding day!

Zamboni · 05/01/2014 05:30

Yes PR you did.

S made it to 5am today. He went to bed half an hour later at 7pm ( but keeping him awake until then was painful) and hadn't napped since 10am!!! ShockShockShock

Maybe he just doesn't need loads of sleep? He's delightful - so happy, chatting away, emptying all my lichen cupboards which is his fave thing ever. Weirdo.

ValiumQueen · 05/01/2014 07:23

Zamboni lichen cupboards. The mind boggles Grin

Isles it does not surprise me that he is not a registered Landlord one bit. I remember when you first moved in, you mentioned he was DPs boss who was doing you a favour.

Sophia never ever lose hope. I think you are one amazing lady, and exemplify all that a Mother should be Thanks

Evil all you can do is make the best decision you can as you go along. You are doing the best you can for you and N. We are proud.

Lily I can imagine the wedding talk is hard to hear for you Thanks

J woke at 2.30 and thrashed about in our bed until 6. The picture of PRs DD1 is very similar to J when in our bed.

(Cuddles into space that was the quiche hug - it is still warm)

Lily311 · 05/01/2014 07:40

Wedding talk is not hard vq, I accepted it long time ago. I actually love weddings and want to attend one and meet a nice and kind and handsome fella. Shame no one I know is getting married.

isles yes! about landlord. I would not withhold the rent, sorry. I think that is just purely wrong. But would report him now and would move out ASAP. As a landlord he has responsibilities but as a tenant you have too. You could get into as much trouble as him.

StuntNun · 05/01/2014 08:01

We have first contact of the New Year with the ILs today but on my terms so we'll see how it goes. I have invited them round for dinner which will hopefully be a lot nicer than the disastrous Christmas turkey (someone must have leaned against the oven because it got turned up to 250C resulting in the driest burnt turkey ever ConfusedConfusedConfused). DH is going to make panna cotta which may even earn him a v!

Sophiathestormfairy · 05/01/2014 08:52

I hope it goes well stunt

Have woken up with cold. DH has taken boys out so I am just going to immerse myself in hot shower and hope I feel a bit better.

So, dare I say, nights not to bad last night? Good news.

I think I might do my final post Christmas weigh in as well! Shock

ValiumQueen · 05/01/2014 08:52

Lily I too hope you will meet another wonderful man in time. You are amazing x

Stunt hope all goes well today. Good to hear DH may actually earn a V.

Isles, I agree with Lily. You do not want to be getting into trouble. Also, if you used your work database to find out about his mortgage, you could get in big trouble for that I would think. Just tread carefully please.

BigPigLittlePig · 05/01/2014 09:02

Morning!

12 hours Grin. Am optimistic that, for dhs birthday present, I will be able to leave F with my parents for the night and have a night away in a wee Cotswold village.

Also laughing at zambonis lichen cupboards.

Isles I think lily makes a valid point re: rent. And yes to being careful about checking things at work. People lose heir jobs for less. We're only nagging because we care Smile. We still have our decs up too, for the same reasons as you. Note to self, take them down today.

ditsygal · 05/01/2014 09:21

Morning!
VQ we are still on Neocate formula for all bottles, and then use oat milk for cooking, on cereal etc. I havn't tried him with it as a drink yet.
My dietician had told me to try him with soya as a drink in the last few months incase my doctor stops prescribing the neocate - but I don't think he tolerates soya well even in baked goods etc, so havn't tried the milk and my doctor hasn't complained about the neocate prescriptions at all so fingers crossed we can continue as we are for now.
Sophia It sounds like such a difficult position and you are handling it with poise and grace I think. I am not sure I could be so calm with your xp.
stunt hope it all goes well!

BigPigLittlePig · 05/01/2014 09:22

Ooooooh the weather forecast on my tablet has changed to a snowy background with accompanying predictions of the white stuff Grin. C'mon, snow. SNOW!

fruitpastilles · 05/01/2014 09:34

I'd love some snow, I bought some new snow boots that are so snugly and warm and haven't had chance to wear them yet. They are the ugliest boots I've ever seen so wouldn't dare wear them unless it was snowing.

ValiumQueen · 05/01/2014 09:38

Thank you all for the feedback about the milk. I will try the Oatley and will not be in a hurry to get rid of the Nutrimigen.

I am wondering if boy has issues with egg too. He has had scrambled egg twice this week and both times he has had a restless night, and been a grumpy little sod the next day. Slight redness on neck also. He rarely has cake or anything much else with egg in. I will check labels for that too I guess and lay off pure egg for the time being.

StuntNun · 05/01/2014 09:46

VQ a lot of babies with egg intolerance can tolerate well cooked egg in cake etc. but not softly cooked egg i.e. scrambled eggs, boiled eggs, fried eggs, mayonnaise. My J seems to be very sensitive, I can have a small quantity of cake without him having problems but when he had a crumb of cake he cried for hours later that day.

Sophiathestormfairy · 05/01/2014 09:49

I too would love snow I want to take some photos to use on next years Christmas cards.

lily you know the drill! love pops up when you least expect it, in the meantime make the most of everyday because everyday matters. But I think you do anyway.

Hot shower, trusty Baujken black jersey wrap dress big blow dry and I feel human, if not quite right. Human enough to drag DS1 to church and stick a brisket in the oven, still contemplating whether human enough to make a leftover stollen bread and butter pudding.

Weight has remained static, have lost 1 lb since the Christmas excesses. 4 to go, but 5 would be good. Back to exercise this week.

The new Bridget Jones, you are right, is not as good as previous, but it is chewing gum reading and some aspects of it are comforting reminders of my single years in my tiny terraced cottage in a small village with my cosy living room and courtyard garden. I think that was when the films came out.

Anyhoo....... On with the brisket. Any sensible reading recommendations for the New Year gratefully received.

StormyIsles · 05/01/2014 09:57

I didn't check anything at work (not that stupid!) but his silly gf posted all over Facebook who their mortgage is with. Confused

Lily311 · 05/01/2014 09:58

Come on chasing, come out and confess to the quiche ;).

fruitpastilles · 05/01/2014 10:06

Ooooh lily spill spill Grin
