I've loved 2014 though its not been without its challenges. We welcomed in last new year stood in our field on the island listening to the fishing boats in Stromness sound their horns and watching the massive beacon being lit on Brinkies Brae. It sounds idyllic but J had been screaming with reflux solidly for seven hours and we'd resorted to watching Lord of the Rings on C4 with the subtitles on!
I'm thankful that in 2013 we got: a diagnosis for him, the wonderful omeprazole and a good paed and dietician. I'm thankful for our move to the mainland and being close to family; for finding our ideal family home, for adding Betsy to our family and discovering the therapeutic quality of a long dog walk, for my business really taking off and allowing us to make exciting plans for next year, I'm thankful for the awesomeness of the quiche and for having the two best blokes in my life make me feel so loved everyday even when I'm being a shouty harriden.
Next year I'd like to work on the house, learn to drive, eat dairy, conceive no.2, teach Jonas "no" and go on holiday somewhere warm
.
Tonight its a Chinese, a cherry vodka or two in my onesie and card games with the ILs. After I've snogged DH I'm going to sneak upstairs to a hopefully sleeping bear and give him a NY kiss and wish from his Mummy. Or more realistically I'll be mid night feed and DH will have to come upstairs for a cheeky midnight snog!
