Isles 6th wake up? Oh love I don't know how you're doing it Sad . I know what you mean about the pics if I look back on photos of me and my ex - our flat in South Africa, sailing in Greece, Valentines in the Caribbean, skiing in the Alps - lots of smiling couple photos at dinner parties and clubbing it looks like the perfect life. He was still a grade A sociopathic c*nt Wink .

Evil I agree XP needs to stick to 'his' days.

Det great post about your boys. I know in the wrong home J has the sort of mischievous energy that could lead him into trouble I hope we can find ways to channel it well. He's a firecracker but he's deliciously funny and his inquisitive zest for life makes me Smile Smile Smile Smile .

Right bed.

ReindeerIsles · 15/12/2013 23:07

Make that 7th..... FFS

In all honesty, I don't know how P does it as he has been dealing with 90% of wake ups since August. I only do the weeks he is on nights and before I started work, we shared his weeks off. For all his negative points, he is fucking brilliant when it comes to getting up with her.

ValiumHappyChristmasQueen · 16/12/2013 00:19

Not caught up, but checking in for my nightly whinge. I am sure I am not alone in seeing every half hour.

Still, I have made a start on my SS, so depending on how it comes out, you may yet get something home-made.

ValiumHappyChristmasQueen · 16/12/2013 02:56

Hopefully you are all asleep Isles x

I think for Christmas, get P a huge canvas (there are good offers) of the best pic of you and M. So he can look at it in his soon-to-come single days, and remember what he has lost. But then I am a bitch. A YABU or LTB mug?

I am tired and feel quite poorly. My throat is so sore and I have a horrid cough. 6 more days at work then 10 days off Smile

StuntNun · 16/12/2013 04:44

Kyz check the growth chart in E's red book, you'll be able to follow his percentile line to work out when he'll be 18 kg.

Morning,

How was the night isles? Get him a DVD box set. Preferably something romantic. So he can watch it and cry when you leave him.

DIY day here, my father is on his way to drill several holes in every room. The flat might be ready soon. Need to order built in wardrobes though I'm thinking of ikea once again. I have £500 for it so it might not have any doors but could do lots of drawers and things.

PetiteRaleuse · 16/12/2013 06:51

Morning quiche. Have five days to plan and buy / order my Xmas menu which now includes post Xmas meals for the ILs which will be interesting.

Have woken up feeling inexplicably down, but I think I have to look at the first paragraph for the explanation to the inexplicable.

This is the last week of nursery before their two week break.

LO had the most incredible tantrum of sorts last night when resisting bedtime. She worked herself up into a really hysterical uncontrolled state, shakkng and screaming and whimpering, and just unable to stop. It went on for over an hour until she stopped. Her face is all puffed up today from the crying :(

ValiumHappyChristmasQueen · 16/12/2013 07:15

Kyz he won't be 18kg until around 4 he won't be heavy enough or tall enough for that kind of seat, so it is not safe to even think about getting one. You can however get seats that go from now to 12, which may be an option, they are called 123 seats, Britax do one. Although seats should be changed after about 6 years anyway. He needs a 5 point harness, not an adult seatbelt. That is the main difference.

PetiteRaleuse · 16/12/2013 08:00

DD1 is 3 in 3 months and is 17.5 kg and she is in 4 year old clothes but in a car seat for 15 kg and over. She is on 98th centile for girls. And as weight gain slows I don't expect her to get to 18kg before she is 3.

Lots and lots of cleaning and laundry to do today. Happy Monday people.

PurplePidjin · 16/12/2013 08:39

Happy Monday folks. Jabs today Xmas Sad

Sophiathesnowfairy · 16/12/2013 09:30

Ohhhhhhh pr it will be ok. Just get drunk!

vq we had mum at home! Macmillan coming in and carers and we had night sitters too. Actually I remember it as a happyish time. Lots of people would come to see mum who was set up with a proper hospital bed etc in the dining room. We would bring in Chineses and bottles of wine and all sit round the fire chatting and spending time with family and friends. I don't remember the house ever being empty of all the important people in our lives and it is a comfort to me. Xx

Hope today goes ok pp

lily we have just got wardrobe insides from ikea set up in our dressing room we got the stolmen range I think is called, works really well, we used a different range in cupboards in the nosy room, begins with a A I think. Be warned you have to have a proper organised thinking head on to work out which bits you need. I found it a bit overwhelming trying to work it out and make sure we got everything.

isles just sorry you are having these sleepy isshoos. I think go with a YABU mug too. Grin

Today I am mainly doing laundry and wiping snotty noses. Sad

Sophiathesnowfairy · 16/12/2013 09:32

Wtf. The nosy room??!! Grin well! I made myself laugh! The boys rooms!

Sophiathesnowfairy · 16/12/2013 09:32

Perhaps I should have left it and left you all wondering what it was!

PetiteRaleuse · 16/12/2013 09:58

I thought it was a typo for noisy room and was going to ask what you had that was so noisy?!

It really really won't be ok, but I'll survive. It's just a menu nightmare. I never know what to plan. Most times when they visit MIL buys and cooks everything as she hates being cooked for by me so often food I have bought will go to waste Angry .

Then the time we didn't plan anything neither did she so we had to rush around last minute and looked like shite hosts.

Told DH to go and get some meat for Christmas on Saturday as he was going to the butcher. Told him I couldn't decide what to do so to surprise me. He got a leg of lamb which is now in the freezer and I am wondering how to make a leg of lamb, which I love but we eat regularly, into something festive. This butcher kind of cuts the bone in a way that makes the leg easy to stuff so will do that but not sure what with. Good lamb has such a delicate flavour I don't want to ruin it. And it is good lamb, we had one from his shop a month or so ago and it was divine.

So how to make roast lamb into Christmas dinner. Or should I leave it for Sunday lunch when the ILs are here and do something else?

Have decided on Christmas Eve coq au vin and onion soup. The baker dropped off their order form on Friday so pudding and nibbles are sorted.

ChasingDaisy · 16/12/2013 10:16

Good luck for jabs Pidj. We have ours on Weds.

O is 91st centile for length and 50th ish for weight. He's a long skinny like me. He's been in 12-18 month trousers for a while. But still fits 3-6 month tops Shock

I got another shag last night

Grin
ReindeerIsles · 16/12/2013 10:31

We have jabs today too Sad .

I am taking a long lunch to take her myself.

Bryzoan · 16/12/2013 10:40

Dh wrote in a Christmas card last night that g "is very definitely a terrible two". I had to point out he is 1! Must have been a long year. But yes, I sympathise with those others of you that have babies that are handful. G is a tearaway - beautiful but exhausting.

YellowWellies · 16/12/2013 11:18

Good luck for jags!

We had a shit night (by our standards) but he's got two new teefShock Shock Shock and didn't have Daddy to settle him after his feed so not surprised. Would have been ok as he was dead to the world this morn and could easily have slept til 9 but I had to wake him at 7.30 for dieticians appt. So I'm a 5 hours sleep zombie today and freelancing Confused . Nursery have been threatened with bad juju if he sleeps after 3.30! Tonight he will be calpoled.

Oh and he's either gone from under 0.4th centile to over 25th centile for height in 3 weeks or the previous measurement was shite. Envy

Kyz going in car seats before they are the min weight is much more dangerous than staying in a seat too long. In an accident he wouldn't be sufficiently heavy to trigger the restraint so it could easily be fatal. It feels counterintuitive but it's safer for their heads to be poking above the top than it is for them to be under the min weight Sad

PetiteRaleuse · 16/12/2013 11:28

yw it is really hard I think for them to measure length. They wriggle around so much.

YellowWellies · 16/12/2013 12:14

I know, I shouldn't be surprised. He does his 'turtle disappearing back into its shell routine' and his neck disappears when they try to measure him laid flat on his back, but this time even I could see that they had got a good measure of him laid flat. Fingers crossed this staves off concerned expressions and worries about a growth problem from the consultant when we see her next in January. Unless they measure him badly again and he 'shrinks' Grin.

HoLilyChristmas311 · 16/12/2013 13:39

Disaster struck. A tile broke above the dishwasher. I need to find out whether it's discontinued (from 2009) and what I can do about it. I will pop a pic up tonight on FB, maybe someone has an idea how to cover it up if I can't find the right tile.

Sophiathesnowfairy · 16/12/2013 14:09

Oh no lily I am sure you can find a new one.

I didn't think they really bothered with height much, the girls weren't measured, or dS1 but O has been. But he is a little dot anyway.

SantasWellies · 16/12/2013 14:12

Yey my name changed worked! Grin

PurplePidjin · 16/12/2013 14:18

Jabs ok, we both had a little cry. He fell asleep just before we got there so had a 5 minute morning nap. Lunch then cried himself into his afternoon one and is just stirring. I'll give him 10 minutes and if he cries up will get him up and cope for the afternoon, but it'd be better if he goes back down for an hour or two (sometimes he does). I over exerted myself completely yesterday and slept appallingly, and have a mad busy week of looking after R plus other dcs wed, thu and fri plus work tonight and thu so no chance to recover Xmas Sad

Feeling v sorry for myself, sorry

PetiteRaleuse · 16/12/2013 14:27

The IL madness has begun. Just spent 90 min on the phone with her.
