Sry piggie. But remembered FH is off to work at 6am. So I'm alone with the kids. Which means early start.
Well the earlier I start the quicker I can get to my mums! Lol

I wanted to open my gift at 12. May sneak down in an hour. I'm in bed watching dexter. How very festive!

Merry Christmas quiche. I don't post a lot but I keep up and you have all been a wonderful source of support. Especially thinking of lily chasing and evil as well as det and pig who are working. Thanks for thinking of me GT I haven't been on much due to all the craziness of Christmas plus having DH home for break plus L being sick and whiny and also getting two new molars. I am utterly exhausted. I really have so much to be thankful for though. Thinking of all of you who have to work or who are sick or feeling lonely this holiday. You all are such wonderful mums and deserve the very best. The babies are so lucky to have you. Thank you all for your wonderful example of kindness and friendship. Why oh why oh why is As worse night of sleep in weeks have to be today?

Merry Xmas everyone, we have an early start due to a very ill and snotty little girl. We have her cousins over today, will be 11 of us at the table. Thank you for the hugs, I hoped for a happy Xmas but it clearly is not this year. Oh well. Next year better be.

My friend just put on FB a pic, her 6 year old got a tablet for Xmas. Ffs. Tablet for a 6 year old??

Oh, and i received a phone call last night. Someone found my sister's phone and called me as he could see me as the last dialled number. She lost it on 30th nov and took him nearly a month to figure out how to unblock the screen. Needless to say, my sister is very happy and believes in Xmas spirit even more.

J woke me at 4.45, but that was the first time he woke! A Christmas miracle! And the girls are still asleep! We have been stomping on the landing with jingling bells and going Ho Ho Ho, but they are still sound asleep

Lily, a tablet at 6 is actually quite late in most parents opinion Ihave come across and a phone at 7 it seems. No innocence these days.

Father Christmas came and he left the door open on the wood burner rude man! DH has just gone down to light it to warm the room up. O has had a rubbish night, he coughs then cries out a bit then goes back over, so that means I wake up and take ages to go back over. And I have a small headache, which in think is due to a substandard wine from stash. I didn't have that much. I think I will join DH and pop some paracetamol before the kids wake up.

I'm up. Getting ready now so I don't have to waste time later.

Everyone else is snoozing.

I'm going to look like a dickhead sat there with my make up and hair all done aren't I?!

Good morning all. A has had an awful night. All my chocolates and wine goes out to those if you who do this all the time. He usually wakes twice. But he just didn't settle... Until now. And Ofcourse H is now awake. Can hear him, he is prob stood at his window watching the world go by.

I'm giving it 10mins before I get him out.

Det I was just considering putting my make up on now as it will be hectic later. Or another 10mins in bed? Could just do my face when I get to my mums lol

I agree Lily. The kids have an IPad that they share, in a special protective case. I too did not even want TV, but they have access to tablets at nursery and some of the apps are so good for kids. They are limited in how long they can use them, and all the settings are on so they cannot access the Internet. It buys peace when I am dealing with one of the others, or cooking dinner. We live in an age of technology. We feel very strongly about books though. Our kids have many books, bedtime story is always a book, but we do have some interactive story book apps.

I am not against tablets, I am just against for kids to have their very own ones at such young age. Olivia is allowed to watch the contrast app when she is upset but she will certainly not get a tablet for her personal use. No no no.
