Well I went to the bank, and basically it's there cock up. I have a piece of paper saying the standing order is set up, but not on the system. So I got cash out, and the landlady is happy.

So I've spent the rest of the day here with my son. As I've been working the past two days, and his dad has seen him this morning. He's very excited about tomorrow.

Venison was a fusion of a few recipes will PM them. It was v nice. Even if DBIL and his difficult mother were half an hour late!

Lily my Dad's parents were Polish refugees after WWII - my Grandad was a prisoner of war taken in North Africa, and as a teenager by grandmother was taken as enforced labour from Poland, they ended up in the same refugee camp in Italy after the war. Once the soviets took over Poland they couldn't get home so decided to head for family in New Jersey but ended up stopping en route in the UK where they settled. Hence the Polish traditions in our family. My Mum's side is Irish, my Dad's Polish. My liver is destined to be jeffed.

Just had three v excited cousins in the bath having been out at 6pm to watch Santa's fly past (the international space station!) all are now into new Christmas jammies, have listened to Twas the Night before Christmas then watched reverently as Father Christmas' mince pie, carrot and shot of Tullibardine whisky were left out for him.

The bear is nearly asleep then it's gin and tonic time!

DD1 knocked out on the sofa. Waiting for transfer then can do my housework, set out presents and have a drink.

I have wrapped all of ms presents, spent a lovely day doing elfy things (this included watching elf and taking M to buy Aulay a present from her), survived a visit from my dad, eaten way too much curry and now tucking into a cracking bottle of chocolate box wine

p has been charming since I went back to work (bar one shouty argument where really, hand on heart, I know I was being entirely irrational and hormonal ) I have also just spied a massive pile of pink sparkly presents with my name on them under the tree - maybe things are on the up? We've had a lovely few evenings giggling with friends and doing family things without resentment, it's lovely....

Anyway, hope Santa is good to all the quiche babies and mummies!!!

No time to catch up, been busy busy here but all fun and good. Can't wait to see DD1's face tomorrow morning (and E's I guess but she won't have a clue what's going on). Wishing you all a very happy healthy christmas xxxx

Santas sleigh has sadly broken down over the pig house, so he can't deliver the presents until Friday night, but we have loved looking at the photos of everyone elses Christmas preparations! I can't wait to read about/see the SS gifts - is GT still going to be first by opening hers at midnight lol?

And evil I agree with what others have said, make a point of saying to the LL that you would v much appreciate her ringing next time rather than letting herself in. Might also be worth getting one of those chain thingys on the door, for the extra peace of mind....hope your sister is ok.

Just sitting in Fs room whilst she nods back off again, she seems to wake every evening at 10, not sure why. She took an age to go back to sleep yesterday (90 mins or more) but tonight is looking more promising. Hope so, as have the dreaded long day at work tomorrow . But like I said. Santas sleigh is broken

piggy and I think detective masses of hugs for working tomorrow. Next year the babies will give a lot more of a shit than this year which, really, is for us. (and next year, judging by dd1, you can lie about dates anyway)

If I have to work next year too, won't even begin to touch how I will feel. The air will be turned vair fucking blue. Was just saying to dh, I can't wait to celebrate with the rest of the world.
