On the implant and limited shagging PR??

Will pop a pic up in a bit Xmas Smile

ReindeerIsles · 22/12/2013 19:07

Sorry to hear of illness pr. How utterly shite.

Lack of sleep makes me a sobbing nutter pikz. Big hugs x

This is my first post from my first ever iPhone - bare with me!! Fucking phone man and his fucking sales pitch Confused On the plus side, he cashed in my knackered samsung and gave me a free tablet, so my mum's Christmas present is sorted. That's okay, isn't it? I've made her fudge and a photo calendar of m too. Smile

PetiteRaleuse · 22/12/2013 19:09

That was a nice meal. I'm glad I don't live nearer they are not a cheap option over here.

Right, off to bed, long night ahead I think LO is teething on top of everything else. And tomorrow dh is as work and I have to defrost and marinate my cockerel.

And possibly fit in a trip to the paed. Xmas Hmm

Had a funny conversation with my DM the other day. Have you ever eaten cock before. Oh yes, delicious, I love a bit of cock. You? Oh no, not sure cock is as widely available over here.

I was internally pmsl but it went right over her head :o

ChasingDaisy · 22/12/2013 19:19

PR can I come and live with you so you can feed me yummy food? Actually, you can share custody with Sophia if you want - so it's not too much of an imposition.

Oh, and in positive news, I appear to have gained 2lb. Will weigh again tomorrow to make sure it isn't a fluke. Have resisted weighing myself for weeks so it was a nice surprise.

PetiteRaleuse · 22/12/2013 19:25

Careful chasing Soph and I might start a huge custody battle over access. Could get messy. :o

TheDetective · 22/12/2013 19:28

Bedtime could not come soon enough tonight. 6.50 he was in his PJ's and shouting at his milk Confused. He's whined and whinged his way through the afternoon/evening.

He's covered in bruises and cuts all over as he keeps knocking himself, falling over, and fighting with the cat. Hmm

Will look great for all the family to see Tues/Weds!

I can't believe the amount he is sleeping at the moment, in total he's having 15-16 hours a day, 13 at night, 2-3 in one nap in the day. He was up at 9 today, bed at 7. The other day he wasn't up til 10.

I'm not complaining. Just wondering if I've missed something here?!

He's snotty, and has a slight cough - so have I - it's not the worst bug I've ever had, so he probably feels a bit off, but not horrendous enough to be so whingy and tired. He doesn't seem particularly unwell, he is happy in between whines Hmm.

Wotevaaaaa. Today is OVER! I am finished work until Christmas day. So we need to pack all our festive fun in to tomorrow. As DP is in work xmas eve!

Love the pic of R Pidj O would never have cooperated Grin. I'm sure!

PR Grin Grin Grin. Love a bit of cock, eh?! Who'd of thought it? Grin

JJ Primark/Next/Supermarkets/Mothercare I have seen christmas jumpers in. I settled with christmas tshirts this time! He always gets too hot in jumpers!

Pikz · 22/12/2013 19:51

We have an Xmas reindeer tshirt here

Tried some controlled shouting tonight as as well as sleep bedtime has become a night mare. He's so big he kicks and hits me as he get frustrated. Tonight he was exhausted and had his milk and a cuddle and started thrashing around so I kissed him and put him in cot.

I sat outside his door for 1.5 minutes and then went in then another 1.5 and another and within 5 mins he was fast asleep.

If he let me cuddle and pat him to sleep like I used to I wouldn't mind but I can barely hold on to him when he's thrashing about Hmm

Passmethecrisps · 22/12/2013 19:54

det p is exactly the same. Snotty, developing a chesty cough, no sense of direction and keeps falling and whacking herself. Today she walked straight into the edge of the door. I have never seen her cry so hard poor wee thing. She was miles away and staring at her feet. Bath time was fine then hysterical when she staggered a bit (has refused to sit down for months) and had to grab the side. Cue more massive fat tears and breathless screaming. Initially she refused milk completely then did take about 100ml after watching cbeebies bed time story. Straight in bed and sound asleep.

She slept 13 hours last night - I was frantic this morning. DH was all "she isn't well and she hasn't been napping - she is knackered and catching up on sleep". Common sense for sure but does that stop me lying there panicking? Nope

Passmethecrisps · 22/12/2013 19:56

I lolled at the cock chat pr! I am such a child I would never be able to keep my face straight.

TheDetective · 22/12/2013 20:04

I am probably a bit laid back about illness, although I know when he isn't right, it generally doesn't worry me too much! I just wish I knew how to stop him whining so much, I'm not the most patient person when it comes to whining, being headbutted, scratched and hit. Hmm He headbutted me twice in a row earlier, and I just had to put him on the floor and walk away. It fucking hurts!!

Pikz Yes, that is what it was like the other night when I succumbed to CCing. He was just fighting and is stronger than me when he doesn't want to cooperate. Hmm It sounds like it has worked for a couple of people then? Or at least, for now!

I'm not counting my chickens, OH NO!

I am still shocked to be honest, as a 'crier upper' I didn't for a minute think that it would work. As I said, the two different 'cries' he has will tell me if he will self settle usually. Monotone = self settle, screaming/shouting = no self settle.

But now both are giving self settles. Awesome! :)

Passmethecrisps · 22/12/2013 20:15

I started putting p down herself when she started pushing and shoving. I actually wonder if I was interfering with her getting to sleep by insisting on rocking and cuddling. She is not a cryer up but shouted a bit confused for the first two night for no more than half an hour. Third night she was extremely distressed and I practically got in the cot with her. She settled really well after a cuddle though and we have never looked back. They are all different and I think most things are worth a go.

Pikz · 22/12/2013 20:20

I would just like to point out the HV also LIED to me. She said he would sleep and nap better once he walked. LIES I tell you LIES.

ChasingDaisy · 22/12/2013 20:22

I think the moment O starts battling being cuddled to sleep is the time I will start encouraging him to self settle. When we had the really hot weather in the summer he couldn't stand being cuddled and he managed to self settle then.

Kyz · 22/12/2013 20:32

am knackered, hope all is well, will try and catch up later. Very busy weekend visiting sister in hull

YellowWellies · 22/12/2013 21:18

I went to secondary school in Hull Kyz

DH is doing all settling of the teething bear tonight. Bliss. He has min 3 possibly 5 teeth on their way in. I can't feel the premolars on the top very accurately as they have so many points but def two premolars and one lower incisor. Poor sausage. Hope they cut soon I'd like to jump my husband Hmm

YellowWellies · 22/12/2013 21:20

Last Xmas was a reflux screamathon (a week before we got omeprazole) I'd really like this year not to be teething dominated Sad

TheDetective · 22/12/2013 21:40

O has woken. In the middle of CC again. We did 3 minutes, then 5. I went in at 5 and instinct told me to pick him up (against what I felt I should have done!) and I noticed straight away he smelled odd. A night time poo! Not had one of those since the early days! So I've changed him, and put him back down. He's intermittently grumping, and then going quiet.

He's otherwise okay, so I am on the 5 minute cycle now. Fingers crossed he goes to sleep.

If they go quiet and you think they are asleep, for a minute or two, do you restart the cycle? Or what?

BigPigLittlePig · 22/12/2013 22:04

On the brink of midnight Christmas eve/day last year, F puked all over me/her/our bed. Happy Christmas dudes!

Manic day with some awful but mostly lovely bits.

Det am in awe at Os sleeping abilities! Perhaps he would like to pop a telegram out to the quichelets to inform them of how things ought to be done?

YW I'm glad to hear dh is back home safely and in one piece. Isn't it funny how the LOs don't react in the way you think they might though? I suppose to their mind, 10 days is almost a lifetime. No doubt he'll be smothering him with cuddles/snogs by tomorrow.

Sophia hope dhs back is feeling ok.

PR yum to Indian. Hope dd1 is a bit brighter tomorrow, and hope both are better by Wednesday. My grandad once told me that Santa brings more gifts to poorly children....he didn't, I had flu and got the same as my non flu db

So we gave F 2 lots of omeprazole today Confused. Hopefully have not poisoned her . She has so far stayed settled in bed, which is a vast improvement on the past few days. Dreadful sleep, writhing around, shrieking, eggy farts etc. If it helps for tonight, shall give the extra dose for another 48 hours then drop back to the usual lot. I think teeth are causing problems here, but can't get near her mouth to check. Am impressed by YWs teeth detecting abilities.

Yesterday, F and I popped over to see her boyfriend playmate (they met when 3 weeks old) and swap pressies/have a natter. He has been walking for aaages, so she sat staring at him all Shock and how much quicker life is on 2 feet. She can walk, and does sometimes, but prefers to crawl. Anyway, today she has walked everywhere, chortling to herself. I joined in with a chuckle, as it is hilarious to see her wandering past clutching on to some forbidden treasure.

Shall shut up now Grin

BigPigLittlePig · 22/12/2013 22:09

Det not sure. We often have that problem here. Let's say I've been in at 1, 2 and 3 minutes, but she falls asleep before the 5 minute check. If she then wakes at 6 or 7 mins, I restart and go back in at 1, 2, 3 etc. If she wakes before the 5 min check then I go in at 5 as planned iyswim?

ReindeerIsles · 22/12/2013 22:16

Bugger all of you and your 5 mins of CC EnvyGrin. We had 3 fucking hours tonight Sad

PR not quite the same but we made a 15 mile round trip for a decent indian takeaway on Friday. Sooooo worth it Smile

BP it is so funny when they walk now, isn't it? I caught P letting M push an IKEA trolley around yesterday. Hilarious!

YW glad DH is home safe and sound.

Hope all quiche illness just fucks off over Christmas. It is soo unfair.

I have my staff lunch out tomorrow and, get this, I am getting a lift to AND from work tomorrow Grin And we have one of our best mates round for drinks tomorrow night GrinGrin AND I HAVE THE REST OF THE WEEK OFF WORK!!! GrinGrinGrin

that last bit really wasn't meant to be rubbed in anyone's noses, I was only meant to have xmas day off

GTbaby · 22/12/2013 22:26

H has two molars poking through. Actually have no idea which teeth they are actually. Very frustrating as I can't work out which tooth to label in red book. Explains rubbish eating for a while. 3 teeth have erupted in just a few days.

Hope your all ok and looking forward to Xmas day.

Went to a family get together yesterday. All the young ones, 10 of us who are similar age hang out regularly. We do SS. My gift, second year running was pants. Two years in a row my SS was the person no one ever wants to get. LMAO. and the person I don't like in the group
I'm going to rant Biscuit last year I got perfume and I never wear perfume and this year a necklace. I never wear jewellery really. Was gutted. As I only get secret Santa gifts. And everyone's gifts were SO thoughtful. Everyone made a massive effort but this person just wrapped up the first thing they came across Blush. Ps this is the reason no one wants this person to be their SS

Ok I'll stop my very materialistic rant. Actually. I'm not materialistic. I just wanted her to put thought into my gift.

Grumble grumble grumble

BigPigLittlePig · 22/12/2013 22:36

I hear ya GT. Truly is the thought that counts.

I am happy for those of you who have Christmas off, and sometimes I think "I wish I could break up and have 10 days off", but then I love my job mostly, and I do have a 4 day weekend which is essentially our Christmas eve/day/boxing day....

Need to go the fuck to bed.

YellowWellies · 22/12/2013 22:57

Isles glad (not 'glad' per se but YKWIM) that I'm not the only one thinking Envy to five minutes. The only time we tried CC after 1 hour forty of Jonas screaming his heart out to the point he was hoarse and doing that breathless hiccuping cry distinctly not reading the memo and going the fuck to sleep, we gave up never to be repeated. 5 minutes though we'd do that! Shock

BP your pic on FB is awesome. Smile

Right night all!

Elizadoesdolittle · 22/12/2013 23:02

So your ss is not so secret than eh gt Xmas Wink

pr Am very much hoping that the illness in the petite household fucks off.

Busy fun weekend here. Had a fabulous night out on Friday with DH, DSIS and DBIL at my fave restaurant ever. It's run and owned by a very dear family friend and at the end she wouldn't let us pay. It must have cost loads! Had a mini xmas celebration at my DSIS house today. DD1 got a bit over whelmed by it all so I think I'm going to have a bit of a chat to her tomorrow about what christmas day will involve. I wanted it all to be a magical surprise but actually I think it might just be a bit too much so I had better give her a clue so she can prepare herself. Fully expecting a meltdown at somepoint during the day but hopefully it will be near bed time so I can just put her to bed early if need be.

Tomorrow morning it's our last ever baby sensory session. boo hoo. Better look into other classes for her. I did tumble tots with DD1 which was fab but don't think E is ready for that. It's better when they're walking.

TV was shite tonight. No christmassy films! Ended up watching bad santa which I thought was, well pretty bad. Elf is my all time fave but already watched that 3 times over the last couple of weeks. Xmas Blush.

MsJupiterJones · 22/12/2013 23:02

Am I meant to be labelling the teeth in the red book?! Blush

Oh well as he's only got 2 it doesn't matter much. Front top ones are imminent though.

I am lucky as I work Wed-Fri, so I'll only be in this Friday and next. My hol allowance is inclusive of BHols though so I have to take Xmas/Boxing/NY off as hol. I used to love working at Christmas for the atmosphere but now I'm happy to be at home.

Curry sounds yum, my DSis had the hottest one she could stomach tonight to try and tempt her baby out!
