Nappy changed. Calpol administered. Water in cot. Still grumping Xmas Sad 30 minutes so far. Might try nappy again?

YellowWellies · 18/12/2013 04:05

Pidj hope that worked and you're both a-kip. You too Luis YouTube wouldn't let me watch that video. What are you posting eh?! Wink

Always glad to hear M is on the up and that your brother will be getting the help he needs - the fact he called for help after the OD is surely a v good sign.

A muuuuuch better night here thank goodness. First wake up (please be the only one!) Gah, you know think he's only slept through once since the MMR - he used to do it pretty regularly. Mindst better one night feed than him trying to start the day at 6am. Right, bed.

ValiumHappyChristmasQueen · 18/12/2013 06:12

(Waves)

Sophia, thank you for that rather beautiful and inspiring picture of your mothers last days. Thank you for sharing.

Always, sorry to hear about your brother. I had a message from my bro last night thanking me for helping him 10 years ago when he was actively suicidal. He said without me he would not be here today. He hated me at the time as he was determined to die, and very very pissed off with me for some time I can tell you! I guess what I am trying to say is that there is hope with your brother. He can get through this and be happy again. The fact he regretted his actions so soon after is really positive.

J is sleeping a bit better, but still in our bed from around 2 each night.

Big meeting with a The Witch today. Bit nervous tbh.

Love and hugs to all x

ValiumHappyChristmasQueen · 18/12/2013 06:15

We are 13 days post MMR for J, and 6 days for DD2. Her arm has been red, swollen and lumpy, and now is very bruised. Poor mite.

wellieboots · 18/12/2013 06:43

need a rant quiche, sorry, hope everyone else is OK, sorry to hear your news always, hope your brother gets the help he needs and recovers.

Just feeling so low today, DD has been really full on, woke at 4.20, we both had a shot of settling but couldn't get her to stay asleep more than 2 mins. DH took her for a pram walk at 5.30 Shock and didn't come back til 6.30. She then woke just before 8. She has snoozed for about 1.15 this afternoon but needed resettling twice to get to that. I am knackered and so far behind with everything. Also Christmas coming, no tree or decs up yet, some cards still to do and just looking forward to it being over Sad I hate Christmas here, it just isn't Christmas. I was ok yesterday, tried to be christmassy, went into city to see the big Christmas tree, and the David Jones (fancy department store) Christmas windows, even went to see Santa! But today was crap Sad I guess I just need some sleep and a good friend? Tomorrow is another day and all that, just hold my hand til DH gets home.

Zamboni · 18/12/2013 06:52

((((( wellieboots ))))) sounds tough. S wakes at 0430 and it can feel SIL destroying sometimes. Is your DH home soon?

Sophiathesnowfairy · 18/12/2013 07:48

deti love number 1 and the pinafore might vampire friend you and buy it I think both of those would do a splendid rack justice. I think the owls shift one is lovely but don't they say not to cover all you boobage as it makes it look bigger? You are better with a neckline of some kind.

You are right always sadly taking that action means he will now get the hope he needs. I hope that he takes solace in his obviously caring family over the Christmas period and starts to feel a bit more positive about life.

Good start to the day here. Everyone breakfasted, two fires cleaned out and set, one lit, washing all hung out, one advent calendar opened and not forgotten till 6pm.

Think I might have time for a little name change.

Sophiathesnowfairy · 18/12/2013 07:49

((Hugs))wellies. I can't imagine a warm chrimbo either. Get some mulled wine and put your feet up. Xx

Sophiathemistletoefairy · 18/12/2013 07:53
BigPigLittlePig · 18/12/2013 07:53

Love that zambonis phone/ipad/whatever has autocorrected soul to SIL! On mn much?!

I'm confused, as had thought always was wellieboots. But clearly not. So who are you!?!

Wellieboots hope tomorrow is better for you. Sounds tough Thanks

Pidj how is R today?

Good luck VQ

Day off with my girl today Smile - we're off to do the big Christmas food shop and take L-dog for her jabs. F full of snot but happy with it. And luckily L-dogs fave snack appears to be baby bogies Envy

YellowWellies · 18/12/2013 08:06

BP Always was Cacacaz a haggis quicher whereas Wellies is an ex haggiser living in Oz.

Much better night from J, just one waking and up just before eight. My stoopid brain meant I lay awake for ages missing DH and took over an hour after his nightfeed to nod off! Eejit Sad

PetiteRaleuse · 18/12/2013 08:06

Hugs to everyone that needs them. LO is the only baby in her nursery group today. The others all have brochiofuckinglitis or gastro bugs or conjunctivitis or a combination of the three. Please bugs stay away for xmas I can't have another xmas like last year.

PurplePidjin · 18/12/2013 08:32

Brew all round

2nd nappy check worked - i put the old one back on the first time as it was dry but there was a stinky teething wee the second time. He was a awake for an hour, but is still asleep now Xmas Shock I've checked and he is still breathing well he was before i ate breakfast and drank a hot cuppa from a Real China Mug

ChasingDaisy · 18/12/2013 08:53

Morning all

FX that illness stays the fuck away from Chez petite this winter.

Luis, I couldn't view the link either, but as ever 'tis lovely to see you. Hope your night wasn't too shite in the end.

We have the dreaded jabs this afternoon. The first ones I have taken him to alone. He has never reacted too badly to jabs in the past so am hoping that continues this time. Otherwise it might make for an interesting Christmas Hmm

ditsygal · 18/12/2013 09:06

Det I like number 1 and 4 best - You have inspired me as I feel the same that all my clothes are too big or too small - I seem to be a different shape to before I had F, so despite being the same weight my pre pregnancy clothes still seem too small but anything I bought in pregnancy is too big. I end up wearing the same clothes all the time based on comfort and don't ever feel I look good.
Part of it is I need to lose a stone or two in the new year - and the other part is to have some nice clothes. I just feel so lost as I don't know what suits this new body shape! Everything seems to show off my baby belly, or accentuate my mahoosive hips!

Chasing We had our jabs two weeks ago and had 1 day of a temp at day 8, but even that was only a mild temp and rosy cheeks and that was it. touch wood - we seem to have got through it pretty unscathed.

PetiteRaleuse · 18/12/2013 09:17

Chasing plenty of babies are just grumpy a night or two then a bit of fever later on. DD1 had a measle type reaction but it was so mild I'd not have noticed it. The CM pointed out a very minor rash and her temp went up to 37.5 or something mild like that. And she was fine. LO would also have been fine were it not for her ezcema break out. She had no mmr symptoms other than being mighty pissed off at the indignity of being held down while pointy sharp sticks were jabbed into her thighs.

We've got our MMRV booster in April. You guys seem to have it a lot later.

We've then got Dip T and other boosters at 5yo, HepB and HCV at 12yo.

StuntNun · 18/12/2013 10:11

I have started an AIBU over here if anyone fancies chiming in.

OP posts:
YellowWellies · 18/12/2013 10:17

Ditsy I've suddenly become much more hippy / broad about the beam than pre-pregnancy. Guess my hips figure I'm planning a second in 2015 why go back to normal? Envy

PetiteRaleuse · 18/12/2013 10:49

YANBU stunt but you know that. I really don't get the quantity issue some people have with present buying. My girls haven't got many presents this year but they are all toys. In future years I will start adding useful things like socks and scarves to their santa lists and toys will be very much in the minority compared to books and pens and pjs. They already have heaps of stuff, I'm actually boxing up loads of toys this week that they don't need anymore and will either keep them back to give to a friend I have a feeling might be getting knocked up within the year or send them to the red cross. A kind of pass the parcel of plastic tat.

ChasingDaisy · 18/12/2013 11:17

Stunt YANBU. All I have bought O for Christmas is some crayons and paper, a book and some building blocks.

ReindeerIsles · 18/12/2013 11:36

YANBU stunt I haven't gone pfb overload, oh no

Just found out I am getting next friday off. 5 days in a row (inc weekend) hoorah!! I am determined to make christmas really special for M this year so this has made my year. After tomorrow is over I am soooo looking forward to the next week!!! Grin Grin Grin

Someone brought their newborn into the office today. I would have another tomorrow if I could guarantee he stopped being a prick. Sad

Sophiathemistletoefairy · 18/12/2013 12:34

ditsy yw after 4 children I am, bizarrely, lighter than I was when I got married the first time, I was always pretty skinny and lanky up until my late 20s and this is the first time I have been back at that weight. However I don't think I would fit in any of those clothes again as my shape has changed, I have a c section tummy and am bigger in the thigh area. I have had to completely change my style. But feel ok about it most of the time.

I love those dresses you found yw

Sophiathemistletoefairy · 18/12/2013 12:40

I just had a chat to the potty about he dog over the road, the dog had actually followed him along the road for. That house to ours!! He says he has been nipped a couple of times by it. So I am going over there tonight. Grr

Sophiathemistletoefairy · 18/12/2013 12:41

PurplePidjin · 18/12/2013 12:50
