isles that is Hilfuckinglarious. Grin she is ace.

YellowWellies · 17/12/2013 20:16

Pikz argh don't need to know I can buy another one online at the tap of a tablet! Shock Shock Shock It's the Regina dress on that link but the colour I got is a sort of dusky pink with black polka dots and it goes fab with my biker boots and big black tutu. Instead of my grand tum I look like I've got a teensy waist Shock . Entirely deceptive Smile . Argh I like the cornflower blue, red and minty coloured ones too. I hope I get Christmas money.

Pidj get well soon R. Maybe something he picked up in the waiting room?

Pass I have so many clothes from over the years but I'm the same I find myself wearing the same half dozen things to death. DH would keel over in surprise if one of them was a frock!

Grrrr our boiler is struggling to get the bath water hot enough. Not helped that J has figured out how to turn the cold tap on Envy . He got both barrels of Mummy exasperation at that trick tonight. Anyone else worry their LO's first sentence might be "FFS!".

He now has a new nightly hobby - beating the bounds of the house calling for Dada Sad . Luckily DH called earlier and I put him on speaker phone to much clapping and "Dada" Smile from J. When we hung up he turned to me and said "oh dear" Sad. Am so looking forward to Sunday.

GTbaby · 17/12/2013 20:20

Always massive hugs.
I assume he didn't seek help when you spoke to him. However after this incident can you have him / or have they committed him , there by forcing him to get help?

PurplePidjin · 17/12/2013 20:20

Store 21 - bargainous!

I'm hoping it's jabs. Have texted the mum of the dc I'm looking after tomorrow just in case, not praying she'll cancel and i can chill at all oh no not me...

YellowWellies · 17/12/2013 20:22

Pidj we were warned that there'd be no reaction for 6 days and then that symptoms would peak between day 8 and 11 - when for us all hell broke loose but without reflux it's hopefully going to be a lot kinder to R xx

Passmethecrisps · 17/12/2013 20:26

Being of the 5ft 2in variety lady I think I could not carry off the überness of net petticoat and biker boots no matter how much I wanted it.

I have rediscovered frocks though.

Parents have done it again btw. Text announcing hugely booked and a visit this weekend. We have done no Christmas shopping, the house is a dangerous tip and we have no decorations up. Looks like it will stay that way

Passmethecrisps · 17/12/2013 20:28

Oh fucking hell. Hotel. They booked a hotel. I haven't heard from either of them for weeks - not on p's birthday or on mine. I get life is tough for them so I love seeing them but it feels like they get the worst possible time every single time

BigPigLittlePig · 17/12/2013 20:28

Evening peeps.

Always ((hugs)) that must be v hard for all of you, remember there's someone here all the time if you need to let off steam.

Pidj oh no! Boo to illness in the pidj-house. Hope whatever it is passes through quickly.

Evil N is probably just going through the same phase as lots of quiche babies. F is mega clingy (although she always has been lol) so you have my sympathies - cuddles are great, but it is hard when you have an audience for every wee.

Yay to nice dresses - I bought a few on ebay recently for work, and it was really nice to put on some new to me stuff and feel a bit better about myself.

Isles sorry but had a little snigger when I read of credit card location. Bright girl though Grin. Have to say, F hasn't yet hidden any of my stuff, usually can only blame myself when I can't find stuff Blush. My dad always tells the story of when he and mum were packing to move house, and he suddenly couldn't find the ball of string he was using. My db was playing all innocently right by him - "DB, have you seen the string?" "No dad" "Sure?" "Yes dad" etc. String remained elusive. New string was bought. New house was moved into. Boxes were unpacked. String was found, posted into one of the boxes. Finger of blame pointing firmly at mischeivous db.

Dog is being a total monkey tonight. Sophia I really hope that L-dog is trained well and not barky/nippy/jumpy. Currently she is all of those things Hmm...but all habits I dislike in dogs. Must have been v scary for you earlier.

Just made mince pies with dh and a glass of red, first drink I've had in aaages. Nice steak and ale pie for tea with home made wedges, now to wrap the girls presents.

Evilwater · 17/12/2013 20:36

Thankyou all for your support this morning.

always that's so shocking, I hope he sees the dr and get him self sorted.
isles well at lest it was safe in the till.
sophia legally he has to have his dog under control.

I've had a break this afternoon while I've sorted out my housing benifit, of course my case isn't a simple. When is it ever!

N has been a dream for the rest of the day. Do you think he got all his naughtyness out in the morning? The lady at the baby group suggested n is likening the sound of his voice, or he might be singing.

He's asleep now, and I've got work tomorrow so I won't be able to post.

PurplePidjin · 17/12/2013 20:36

I was told any time immediately (his puke was this morning, runs 24h after jab) 3-6 days for a rash or 3 weeks for glandy stuff. When i had mmr as a teen i reacted and was delirious with fever by the time i had to catch the bus home from school Xmas Hmm

PetiteRaleuse · 17/12/2013 20:45

Yes the fever and digestive reactions can be pretty much immediate and should go down in a couple of days. Then there can be mumpnand measle type reactions 10-21 days later plus any immunity type things like ezcema and reflux etc.

YellowWellies · 17/12/2013 21:04

BP sounds like a lush tea Smile . Noise is a breed thing to some degree but Betsy (borders are pretty silent she's only barked twice since we've had her!) but she was nippy and a bugger for jumping up especially at kids we trained the jumping up out of her with a water squirt bottle and yelling 'down'. So often Jonas still calls her Down Blush . The nippyness is probably teething - we were told to totally overreact and shout 'owwwww no biting!' really scarily and lean over her dominantly and true enough she stopped super quick. I'm really not a natural dog trainer but was surprised how quick they learn so don't worry she'll be much more how you want her to be soon.

Pass you could so carry that off! I'd reply back to your Ma and Pa 'great you can help us decorate the house and watch P while we do the big shop as we've got so much to cram in this weekend' Grin. I'd be annoyed too at the lack of notice and consultation Envy

YellowWellies · 17/12/2013 21:06

Pidj sounds like he's reacting quickly like you. 6 days on is the fever mump / measley side effects. Poor souls. Still no more jags for ages after these.

Passmethecrisps · 17/12/2013 21:15

Great idea yw! I wish I had the balls! I am a softy when it comes to my folks apparently.

I have once and once only tapped a dog on the nose. It was a retriever puppy and wild as you like. I had popped round to visit and this new puppy was rampaging around quite he thing. It lept up onto the knee of the 8 year old of the house whereupon they started play fighting. Except wee pup had jaggy teeth. He was genuinely breaking the skin and 8 year old was screaming and no one in the house was responding. I had no idea what else to do so I lifted him, tapped his nose (it was a tap) and balled "NO!!" Before sort of plonking him on the floor. There was silence for a bit then the wee dog sat behind my legs for the rest of the night looking to me before he went anywhere.

I genuinely think dogs are more comfortable when they know where they fit in the pack. We feel a bit odd about hierarchy but they need it. I was called a meany by dog owner. Said dog grew into a massive beast who was adorable but completely out of control.

YellowWellies · 17/12/2013 21:18

Dogs need to be dominated otherwise they'll assume they're top dog and will dominate you. Betsy knows she's low in the pecking order. Probably only DH is lower Wink

Passmethecrisps · 17/12/2013 21:22

Ahahahaha! Ok. Brilliant! Us quichesters have another possible job opportunity which is pet sitting.

Pass dog was always a big soppy lump with me even though I thought he was smelly and never tried playing tug of war or the like. I think we will have a dog one day. I don't want p to be scared of them, just respectful

Passmethecrisps · 17/12/2013 21:25

Pass dog is on google maps, ya know? Sitting there with his tongue out. I have always meant to get the picture printed for my dad.

TheDetective · 17/12/2013 21:33

Our dog knows the pecking order in this house Hmm. If us humans hadn't shown her, this cat definitely has Grin. Oh dear!

I'm shattered. But for a good reason. I worked a double shift yesterday, followed by an early shift today, as work asked me to stay after my early yesterday. In return I told them to take me off a shift this week, so I now have two days off together, which I didn't before. And an extra day off. So, awesome! Grin

The very horrible down side was that I didn't see O from sunday night, til 4pm today. Urghhhhh.

And when I picked him up I found he had a new tooth. Tooth number 6, and the first one he hasn't had an all night screaming fit, runny nose or drooling for. Phew.

Pass Before O I wore a lot of the type of dresses *YW linked too. Complete with biker type boots. And I'm 5ft 2 and not a skinny bird Grin. I am positive you could pull it off. If I can, anyone can.

Talking about clothes, I'm having a crisis. Nothing fits me. Most of my clothes are too big, so are no longer flattering. Some are too small, so again, not flattering. I've got very little choice in my wardrobe, and I am so fed up. After O I lived in leggings, vest tops and cardis, or casual dresses and leggings. Before O I had far more time to dress nicely. Now it's a case of what doesn't need ironing, and what is practical. And I'm so fed up with it. I feel like I've lost my identity.

I've actually spent this evening searching for clothes, and am not getting too far in finding nice things which will look nice on me, and not make me feel old or frumpy.

Can I have some opinions on the following, and if you think they would suit my colouring/shape. Ta! Grin

www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00CQ82TLW/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A39MDD87VK82K4 I'm not sure on this one, I've got a dress in this style and I find it not particularly flattering on the boob area Confused.

www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00A929GKE/ref=ox_sc_act_title_3?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A27Z8SCNVNSIFN I love the design of this one, but not sure how it will look on.

direct.asda.com/george/womens/dresses/g21-chiffon-heart-dress/G004446127,default,pd.html. I like this, but this is more like my current style rather than the real me who loves wearing big 40's/50's style dresses!.

direct.asda.com/george/womens/dresses/heart-print-pinafore/G004529371,default,pd.html Not worn a pinafore since I was 5 Grin. Also unsure on how flattering for my shape, and how to wear it?

Any thoughts?!

Passmethecrisps · 17/12/2013 21:38

Ok!

Loooooooove the first. Buy it. Buy it now

Second I have seen that pattern a fair bit. Love it but would need to see the fabric if you know what I mean?

Third I love. No issue.

Fourth wear with a long sleeve black top. I think you would loo fab as long as you glammed it with big boots

YellowWellies · 17/12/2013 21:43

I love four and two Det Smile

ReindeerIsles · 17/12/2013 22:22

I get the clothes chat. Just been announced today that all next week is dress down - bollocking bollocks I have nice work wear but NO casual clothes that fit me/I like. Sad

So I am going to treat myself to a few pieces this weekend and then splash out on a new wardrobe in the sales. Fuck it, I've been living in eBay clothes and handmydowns for the oast 5 years and can count on one hand the 'new' things I have bought in that time. (my mum very kindly kitted me out with some lurvely new work clothes for starting my new job as I will never ever fit into my old size 8 teaching clothes again Sad )

Anyway, I mostly wear dresses and tights. Occasionally leggings and a long top. Jeans maybe once a week with a nice top (of which i now have very few)

#firstworldishoos Grin

AlwaysRightNeverWrong · 17/12/2013 22:52

Isles sorry that made me
Lol a little a lot

Bp your dinner sounds delicious

Pass how incredibly frustrating. I wouldn't be able to say no to either my parents or in laws. We have a similar issues with pil this weekend and it is being stuck between a rock and a hard place.

YW I hope your week without dh flies in with minimal wake ups.

Here comes the me me me post.

Db has been incredibly difficult obviously ill in the weeks and months leading to the court case I know he has had nightmares, suffered insomnia, become paranoid and aggressive towards both my parents shouting being what can only be described as vile. I know deep down that this is not my brother talking but rather his illness. I think he is suffering, in part, from PTSD and has some other health issues which affect his day to day life, he seems to have had medication thrown at him with no attempt to solve the root causes. Of course this is only what I have interpreted thus far and by no means fact. He was discharged from hospital in the early hours of the morning following 6 hours of observations, he was seen by 2 members of the mental health team and told he would be sent/given a follow up appointment. He will now only be able to pick up his prescription on a weekly basis, I'm assuming this is to reduce the risk of him overdosing again ignoring the fact that of he wanted to it wouldn't be incredibly difficult to get hold of drugs, find another way. I'm taking solace in the fact that he told my parents within 30 minutes of taking the drugs, he was scared and realised he didn't want to end his life.
As crazy as it sounds, I think, I'm almost glad because at least now he should get the professional help he obviously needs and actually feel a sense of relief from this.

M hasn't vommed since this morning, he breast fed most of the day, then had some small pieces of banana and toast at tea time. Fingers crossed he is finally on the mend.

Elizadoesdolittle · 17/12/2013 22:58

Full moon tonight.....could explain a lot of the behaviour!

Sorry, been really shit at posting lately. So much to reply to I really can't do it all (am no kyz after all) but just wanted to say:

isles Love the cc tale and so funny it was in the till. It's annoying when the little buggers get hold of your possessions. DD1 once posted my house keys through the slats of the decking. I was locked in the house, and took me bloody ages to find them. I had to wait for DH to get home and take up some of the decking to retrieve them. That was one of many of her escopades.

always That's so shit, I'm so sorry. My dad once tried to commit suicide. It's awful as you feel so helpless. Thank goodness he didn't suceed and hopefully he can now get the help he obviously so desperatly needs.

We have coughs galore in this household. Not fun but as long as it doesn't turn into anything more sinister I can cope. Only trouble is E always voms when she has a cold/cough so my washing machine has been on a pretty much permanent cycle today.

Seems there are a lot of poorly quichelings at the mo so Thanks and [coffee] for all those in need.

Elizadoesdolittle · 17/12/2013 23:09

det Being a dumpy big boobed girl (not saying you are too by the way) I'd worry how no 1 and 4 would look round the bust area. But I do love 4 and would prob risk trying it on at least. No 3 is my fave I think, but also the safest so you might want to go for something a little more adventourous.

LuisCarol · 18/12/2013 02:26

I'm big boobed. Nothing flatters a big boobed man. Nothing. Not even Sinitta.

I'm fracking terrible at keeping up so I'm sorry. L'il fistbump for chasing though. Wink

Also, for meals who is relentlessly kicking my wwf ass. And for ...

ah fuckit. It's nearly christmas, and I'm only on occasionally, so this may be my chance. I don't come here often enough, but you have all seen me through some desperate times in the last year, and even now when I've been away for a while I know on a bad night (like tonight is turning into) I have people who understand that I can vent at. . I look like one of those two btw.
