Thanks sophia.

TheDetective · 10/12/2013 13:54

O evaded my tree stopper today and got hold of 3 decorations, and destroyed them Hmm.

I have reshaped the gates, but it comes out in to the room quite a bit now! Arghhhh! Oh well. Only another 3 weeks of it, right?! I'll take it down on the 2nd!

O had star sandwiches with cucumber and cherry tomatoes for his lunch. Wolfed the lot! Well, apart from the tomato skins! Sucked out the pips, then spits out the rest! Grin

I am still loving the tomato addition to our lives! Dairy free feels like a piece of piss now. :) Well, it seems it when I think how easy life is now there is one less thing to eliminate!

I am finding it hard to actually decide what to give him, as there are so many options now!!! Never thought the day would happen! Gutted we missed out on 6 months of tomato in his diet. Wonder what the rash was after all that? Very odd!

Glad you are feeling better PR. And booooo hiss on the house not being right. I looked at SO many houses before this one. I got a bad feeling in a couple of houses. It was odd. Couldn't place it.

I should really do some more present wrapping while O naps YW but I CBA! I'm tired, and am just lolling about on the sofa in my PJ's instead! I may get dressed and go out after his nap. But probably not Grin. Today is a day for being lazy!

PetiteRaleuse · 10/12/2013 15:06

Present wrapping is what I dislike most about Christmas. I have to get it done in the next ten days though asnursery shut for two weeks at the end of next week.

GTbaby · 10/12/2013 17:42

Argh we lost the smallest stacky star.

FlouncingIsles · 10/12/2013 17:51

yw I think she is just resisting my new bedtime regime. Bedtime has been shite since forever she turned 11months. P is actually cooperating and we are taking it in shifts with the screaming. Except tonight where I am working late, freelancing then going straight to yoga so (hopefully/unhopefully) won't see her at all Sad Sad Sad I am really struggling with how little time I am able to spend with her now Sad

I have a qq. I bashed my arm on Sunday right where my implant is (fucking dog tripped me up) and since then there has been a massive bruise and it hasn't felt right. Today i started ny first period since the constant bleeding stopped in august. Errr ??? Confused

Misslaughalot · 10/12/2013 18:22

Day 4 of vom in the laughalot household. We are not laughing a lot.

O seems fed up with it today, and I can't blame her. She's so hungry, but can't keep, anything down for long. We thought it had come to an end as she didn't vom at all yesterday, but DP got an extra large soaking this morning to make up for it. And her poos are just like water. Not fun.

Isles no idea I'm afraid, not experienced it myself. Maybe get it checked out just to be sure. How's the job going?

PR hope you're feeling a little better. Sounds like the house wasn't meant to be.

GT how on earth you've kept your cool for this long astounds me.

Still can't hear out of my left ear. Was really hoping today would be the day it sorted itself out. Maybe tomorrow Confused

ChasingDaisy · 10/12/2013 19:11

Evening quiche

I love the idea of wrapping presents but get fed up with it extremely quickly.

Isles I don't know how you manage with bedtimes like that, you have really been through the mill with sleep issues Sad

PR I'm sorry about the house. But when you know you know.

O had a good time at the baby group Christmas party today. He has a really lovely relationship with one of the workers there. She has seen him develop from a shy little boy who wouldn't leave my side, to a boy who crawls over to her to say hello and holds court in the middle of a group of mums and babies. It's lovely to see.

We also have walking progress. I have turned round a few times today to find him standing up and we have had steps using the walker without me holding on Smile

GTbaby · 10/12/2013 19:13

Laugh a lot that is puking crap. Is lo drinking water? I guess the important thing is keep hydrated.

I was a rebel today Wink went out for a walk with A n H. Went past haberdashery Grin and bought some ribbon and needles. As I'm sure I've mentioned before Tuesdays is a big no no day to buying anything in this house for my PIL. And we have to follow it to. So feeling very naughty.

Pikz · 10/12/2013 19:23

Am really struggling today. Not sure how to juggle everything going on.

Sophiathesnowfairy · 10/12/2013 19:24

Why is that gt?

ChasingDaisy · 10/12/2013 19:37

(((((Pikz)))))

GTbaby · 10/12/2013 19:37

Soph no idea. Apparently bad thing happened in fil past. He went to see some guy who said Tuesdays is a bad day for them. And he shouldn't do important things on a Tuesday. So shopping Etc is included.

H eating habits are getting bad. So hard getting proper food to him. He still has 3 bottles a day. His word for food used to me mumum. But now he says it constantly. Even when we are feeding him and he is pushing food away.
He has also start pushing food out of his mouth. Don't know what to try.
May try dets idea of naked feeding and just give him a bunch of finger food. But when I had him food he just chucks it away except biscuits.
Don't know what else to try.

GTbaby · 10/12/2013 19:39

Pikz can we help? Is there something in particular?
Can you take things off your list of to do stuff.
Cleaning is always a good task to miss Wink

Passmethecrisps · 10/12/2013 19:58

Are you working pikz? Could you take a duvet day tomorrow to get your head back in line?

BigPigLittlePig · 10/12/2013 20:02

GT similar here at the mo. Nursery seem to think they go through a phase about now, where they take the "food is fun" thing a bit literally, and start playing with it. It will pass I hope

Det love that O managed to get through the barrier!

Chasing sounds lovely, it's great to hear how O has come on in leaps and bounds. And to walking!

Lily I keep meaning to do a photo book for F, haven't got round to it yet but will probably get vair teary too when I do.

PR glad the worst has passed. Sorry to hear the house wasn't all that, but if it ain't right, it ain't right.

Er hum.

We haz puppy.

Grin
ChasingDaisy · 10/12/2013 20:12

Eeeeeeek to puppy! Pictures pictures pictures!

ChasingDaisy · 10/12/2013 20:12

Quiet eek so as not to scare puppy!

PetiteRaleuse · 10/12/2013 20:27

Yay piggie another quiche puppy will cheer us up :)

laughsalot sorry to hear about four days of vom. We had two days and a night and that was more than enough for me. Expecting DH to get the bug any hour soon.

GT the fod will sort itself. Let him get his nutrients from milk and keep trying with the food. DD1 is going through a refusal to eat veg at nursery but lives veg at home phase.

BigPigLittlePig · 10/12/2013 20:35

Pussypig met L-dog. His tail was EEEENORMOUS. And he couldn't decide whether to growl or hiss Grin so did both....Then hid. Then got nosy. Then hissed some more. Currently asleep on bed, probably trying to ignore the small fluffy squeaking thing in his old cat bed!

Shall pop a photo on fb.

Pikz · 10/12/2013 20:38

Am working. Finish tomorrow night.

L still very poorly and refusing to eat and struggling to sleep. Feeling utterly rubbish as trying to juggle work too.

So much to sort for Christmas too. Roll on the week after Xmas when I am off and can just be.

I feel like I'm missing somewhere... Like I'm a little shadow who just keeps doing and doing and doing.

Sorry jumbled mind. Right off to wash more vomit bedding.

Hugs to all xxx

PurplePidjin · 10/12/2013 20:40

My blw friends are finding this massively atm - and R's a bit odd too - we reckon it's to do with them getting more independent, like a survival skill so they only eat things from a trustworthy source instead of the yummy looking belladonna and laurel plants, or maybe a good chomp on a juicy daffodil bulb. R is happy with smooth/tiny lumps but won't eat bigger lumps like risotto or pasta shells, but will eat big finger foods like veggie sausages, meatballs, breadsticks etc. Lunch yesterday was an entire toasted bagel but very little tinned spaghetti, then a yoghurt and a pear (eaten whole like a grown up). I'm kinda riding it for now though as he is getting a balance pureed spinach and cauliflower cheese pasta anyone? but am a bit worried he's not getting into feeding himself more, he's been doing the same combo of finger food and me spooning it in for ages Xmas Confused

I have an interview in the morning for more hours at my ad hoc job. Dp didn't get through to the 2nd stage of the lottery-win job but is v happy washing pots with his mate so we have an income. R still not walking independently but will go for miles holding hands Xmas Hmm

PurplePidjin · 10/12/2013 20:42

I feel like that, Pikz like there's so much to do for everyone else that i just don't exist any more.

Passmethecrisps · 10/12/2013 20:51

pikz. Been there and bought the t-shirt. You give and give and do and do and it is relentless. Advice is always shit but could you prioritise just utterly vital stuff? Have takeaways for a few days if you can afford and let yourself stop spinning.

I remember trying to explain this when I had a tough time going back to work and it was like being utterly invisible but life-givingly vital. It's like we are now oxygen.

ChasingDaisy · 10/12/2013 21:00

O's eating has gone to shit lately too. He only really eats well if he is around other people. When it's just me and him it is very hit and miss.

PetiteRaleuse · 10/12/2013 21:08

pikz I guess once you settle in and your child is well again it will be easier to create a routine. You can't be expected to settle well at work with a sick child at home, seriously. Don't be hard on yourself x
