GT say you are ill and take A to bed with you. Let the guests look after H.

Sophiathesnowfairy · 01/12/2013 12:44

pr do you make gluvine? If so could you share how?

ValiumQueen · 01/12/2013 13:14

Gluhwein! The spelling on this thread today is shocking Wink

PetiteRaleuse · 01/12/2013 14:06

No I don't make it from scratch - warm wine add packet of gluhwein spices is the only recipe I know :o I actually don't like it very much. Every year I buy a cup at a Christmas stand in Germany, get all excited, then don't like it enough to finish it.

Just back from a sunny walk round a lake. Was lovely. DD1 exhausted herself running round and has gone for a nap. Result.

GTbaby · 01/12/2013 14:13

First guests left. N PIL n FH have gone out. So I get to deal with H alone. Feeding A up now in hope he will sleep while I get H sorted.
Think I'm getting sleep deprived emotionally unstable. Just feel miserable. Hopefully going west fields tomorrow to do some Xmas shopping which should cheer me up.

GTbaby · 01/12/2013 14:15

VQ. I sat in other room feeding. You can't tell A is asleep as I put a shawl over me. Lol

Donnadoon · 01/12/2013 14:52

PR sorry about your cat
We have put the tree up
Sooooo excited about Xmas this year
GT defo get some retail therapy

ChasingDaisy · 01/12/2013 15:23

Our tree will be going up next weekend. I am planning a Christmassy weekend while O is with his dad - Christmas shopping and then decorating the house Grin

PetiteRaleuse · 01/12/2013 15:38

Tree also going up next weekend here

FlouncingIsles · 01/12/2013 15:41

Tree is half up. I want to scream!!!!

My house is a fucking bombsite. Sad Sad Sad

ValiumQueen · 01/12/2013 15:42

I cut my husband's hair today. No.3 all over, and thought hmm.... while I have the clippers out I may as well do the boy. I have scalped him and feel awful. Confused He looks like a thug. Having two girls, I was delighted to be expecting a boy so I did not have to brush his hair and put bobbles in. I have been dreaming of today since the gender scan. Oops.

BigPigLittlePig · 01/12/2013 15:42

Sadly not for another 2 weeks here as am on call next weekend and cannot leave dh to decorate the house. The results would be too hideous, and take too long to correct OCD much?

ValiumQueen · 01/12/2013 15:42

J wants a hat for Christmas.

BigPigLittlePig · 01/12/2013 15:42

LOL vq - piccy??

ValiumQueen · 01/12/2013 15:44

It is not fucking funny!!! Grin

ValiumQueen · 01/12/2013 15:47

Pic on FB (hangs head in shame)

BigPigLittlePig · 01/12/2013 15:50

My db once earned himself the nickname "bogbrush" after a similar incident. And I think zamboni put a photo on fb recently of her poor dd1 after an encounter with mummys scissors.

ValiumQueen · 01/12/2013 15:54

I must have missed little gazelle's pic.

ValiumQueen · 01/12/2013 15:55

It will grow. Hopefully.

BigPigLittlePig · 01/12/2013 16:02
Grin

Had photos taken at lunch, some lovely ones, although F clearly looks unwell in them. One free print of the girls, we did then enquire about costs of other ones. £105! DH did well to contain his language in the middle of a well known childrens shop!

Just watching chitty chitty bang bang Smile

PurplePidjin · 01/12/2013 16:32

Happy Feet here, despite no kids in the house Hmm

VQ of course it's not funny it's freaking hilarious

I spent £11 in Homebase and got a 3' tree, a star for the top and some snowflake lights. Half price and double nectar points. And my mum has done R an advent calendar in my reusable one - one piece of Duplo in each pocket and a story book that goes with the set! He won't get it, i can't wait Blush:o

FlouncingIsles · 01/12/2013 17:12

Poor J vq !I remember my aunt doing something similar to her ds when he was about 9 - she had to write a letter to the school requesting he be allowed to wear a hat as he was getting teased Grin

M's room is nearly done. Lounge is a bomb site. My room is a complete disaster zone. But her room is looking a bit good even if I say so myself Smile . Or at least it did, I have left P freerange with the wall stickers Confused

PetiteRaleuse · 01/12/2013 17:20

I think it looks fine. No-one will bat an eyelid.

Elizadoesdolittle · 01/12/2013 17:44

our tree is going up next weekend too.

been hideously hungover today. numerous tequila shots seemed like a good idea last night. What was I thinking clearly I wasn't.

still I made it to a birthday bowling party at 10am and to my pil church fête after so not bad going.

Passmethecrisps · 01/12/2013 18:02

Must be the day for it eliza!

I have started ancient laptop up to try to get some references done - 20 minutes and still not fully booted.

DH called from his parents. P has been whipped into a frenzy of excitement and has napped dodged manically. Granny appears not to see the need for sleep. Poor DH sounded a bit fraught.
