Oh Pidj :(

Is it a case of last in first out? On the positive side - he wasn't sacked, he can get a good reference presumably? And you will be entitled to benefits for now?

I try and believe in everything happens for a reason - and given what the Consultant has advised, maybe as fucking shitty as it actually is this is the reason.

You, along with other quichesters deserve some fucking good luck some time soon.

Passmethecrisps · 18/11/2013 20:54

I second that sentiment det.

You must feel like you are going round in bloody circles pidj. It is just endless.

ValiumQueen · 18/11/2013 20:57

Thank you YW and Pass for my parcel Smile you should have seen J hoover one up. He was squealing with joy!

Passmethecrisps · 18/11/2013 21:03

Brilliant!

I shall pack away my balaclava and skies for a while

Passmethecrisps · 18/11/2013 21:03

Skis. Not skies.

PurplePidjin · 18/11/2013 21:06

6th redundancy in 2 years for us both. Dp's 6th job in the same time frame. He's not disabled enough to get extra help, and is thinking of trying local supermarkets. I'll try the care agencies - am seeing my mum tomorrow so can use the desk top to sort my cv, can't do owt from a tablet. They've all been redundancies, we've not been fired, so excellent references etc.

R is Raphael or Rafa. A couple of acquaintances my arse hole of a boss call him Rafi, which gives me the rage. Someone close, fair enough. Someone who's never met him can fuck right off to Fucksville, Fuckazona.

TheDetective · 18/11/2013 21:14

Pidj Pop in to the supermarkets - the Tesco near me had a board in the middle of the entrance advertising for staff just last week.

Unusual in this world of online everything, but you never know, right?

They didn't ask for experience, just driving experience of 3 years with a clean licence.

DP never comes home stressed from work. Even when he gets called a cunt, and has to clean up other peoples piss Grin. He doesn't get stressed!

Sophiathesnowfairy · 18/11/2013 21:15

Having a conversation with DS1 a the tea table tonight about best friends.

Me " so DS1 who is mummy's best friend?"
DS1 " daddy"
Me " and who is daddy's best friend then" ( best friending doesn't have to be reciprocal in DSs world)
DS1 " you are"

Honestly you do not know how happy it makes me that that is what he thinks about us. Perfect.

det keep meaning to say how pleased I am about your fanjo Confused well done you.

pidg more hugs. That sounds very demoralising. But what bpsaid seems to make sense. So sorry about the job, but it sounds like you are dealing with it very philosophically and, as you say if in doubt Wine

I know what you mean pass and isles obviously DD1 has the same name as mini isles and I always thought might be the shortened version but she has adamantly stuck to her full name. DS 1 calls her Tilda but no one else does, and he is the only one who is allowed to !!

ValiumQueen · 18/11/2013 21:17

J is Jakabob or Jakabobski or ankle-biting carpet shark.

ValiumQueen · 18/11/2013 21:18

Sorry to hear your news PP (((hug)))

Sophiathesnowfairy · 18/11/2013 21:28

I like ankle biting carpet shark best.

Also meant to pass the Wine to pr I get like that too when I am in the pmt zone. There is no stopping it. I have descended before I have realised. And sometimes, like you now, there is something valid that makes it worse. Fresh air, broccoli and chicken. I kid you not. ( when I asked dr google how to deal with pmt via nutrition) assuming I am not snowed in tomorrow am making tiffin. Ticks none of the above boxes but will make you a virtual batch!

Pikz · 18/11/2013 21:34

PP am fucked off for you and crossing everything for good news soon. Sending Wine

See I chose L so it couldn't be shortend but we call him monkey, Cookie Monster and international terrorist most of the time. I do completely get the name thing pass. I would be a little annoyed I have to say.

Now can't remember anything else.

11 hour flight to the in laws tomorrow, god give me strength, patience and plenty of wine to get through it and the week with them alive. I shall post the most insightful pieces of advice I will be given.

I have already been questioned as to why he doesn't eat chocolate or have juice.

ValiumQueen · 18/11/2013 21:37

My day at work was not too bad. I have sent her lots of emails asking for clarification on certain things, saying that I do not want to get in trouble, but really wanting to just piss her off. She has said that when we go onto the clinic we are not allowed to sit down or use the computers or use the telephone. Talk about fucking petty. The big union man came today, so clearly a few of us have been in touch. I think this week will be popcorn time and watching the fireworks.

Anyhow, need to go to bed before DH starts pestering me for sex again Grin

ValiumQueen · 18/11/2013 21:40

Oh, and we have the Paeds appt for next tues, and my boss has kindly allowed me to take Annual Leave to take him. It is the same consultant who looked after DD1 when she had ITP, and he is very nice.

Elizadoesdolittle · 18/11/2013 22:07

Firstly pp I'm so sorry. I really hope you hear some positive news very soon.

chasing Was lovley to read such an uplifting post from you earlier. You deserve all the happiness you and O are getting.

pass My first thought was perhaps her nickname looked better on the stool as her full name may have looked a bit squished? Either way I can understand your feelings on it and glad you have come to terms with it Smile

E tends to get called Ellabobs or pickle.

sophia I've had struggles getting E to eat off a spoon fed by me for the past coulple of days. Which is the last thing I need! She wants to eat what we are having which I would gladly give her (can't wait to give up the mush) but she just can't eat lumpy food yet. I have to feed her puree off my fork with her bowl hidden so she can't see where I'm getting the food from. I might have to actually put it on my plate as she's getting wise to this. Perhaps I should try putting a small bowl of mush in front of her with a spoon so she can "feed herself" and then sneak other bits into her in between. It's gonna be a messy business!

isles I love the sound of your walk with M and A. You have no need to worry about M's affections for you. DD1 leaves me without blinking an eye or looking back. And she always appears to be more excited about seeing DH than she does me. BUt that's because she sees me all the bloody time and like you say we do all the boring mundane stuff. My DH gets to do the fun stuff. But if she's poorly or hurt herself it's me she want's.

Evilwater · 18/11/2013 22:26

Hello all,
Well what a day, Lots of phonecalls made and I don't know where to start really. Both n and I are fine.
I made lots of phonecalls this morning, effectively logging some of the emotional abuse. The lady said to call 101 which I have done and the 101 lady said that two police officers would come around and take a statement.

I then entire to lunch and got he bankers check, and chaged my address at the bank.

Then it was baby class, which p attended for 15 minutes and all oft he time hugging n, except of course when he cried. He said very little, and muttered about having a sore throat, so he couldn't play with N.

I came home from baby class, and played with n for a bit! he had prawn sandwich for tea and some trifle.

Then roughly at 9 this evening the police men came around, and they were very wonderful. I taked to them about P, they risk assessed me and I'm a standard low risk. :)

I get my keys tomorrow.
Phew.

Evilwater · 18/11/2013 22:27

It should be * I went to lunch and got the bankers check.

Evilwater · 18/11/2013 22:29

There is one things that the quiche can do!
Can you put all my posts concerning p into a document so I can give it to he he lawer lady?

It would be wonderful.
Evil

YellowWellies · 18/11/2013 22:31

Pikz it's SA isn't it? My evil ex and I lived there when he had to adopt his daughter after her Mum (his ex) died - her Afrikaaner GPs thought it nuts that we didn't give a 14 month old coke in a sippy cup! Shock . But biltong is awesome for teething (if you ignore the salt levels like they do in SA). Biltong is just pure awesomeness. Whereabouts are you going? We lived in Durban but XP's wee daughter lived in the Drakensberg. Stunning place.

TheDetective · 18/11/2013 22:33

We could all volunteer to do a fred each?

Would be quick and pretty easy. I can do one tomorrow evening. :)

horseylady · 18/11/2013 22:41

Sorry to hear about your dp pp can he drive having had a stroke? Is it a 3 month ban? My friends just had her license removed for medical reasons. Crazy.

vq glad work ok. I have a huge battle. Today I had to leave the room before losing it with a couple of people (I'd been in all weekend and I've sold one of my horses so I was not too happy).

isles glad things are seeming better. It's only a couple of months of financial hardship. Don't worry it will be worth it.

Hugs to yw, pr and soph for feeling rubbish. Or a bit friendless. It's tough. I know how you feel. I have lots of people I know but very few close people. Sad person that I am.

pikz good luck!!! My cousins from SA and I've worked with a few. They're ok, they just think differently. Then again, so do the French?!

TheDetective · 18/11/2013 22:42

I've just done the previous 2 freds, and sent them to you with anything I thought might be useful from what you have posted. :)

Elizadoesdolittle · 18/11/2013 22:54

Ah meant to say pikz good luck for the flight. Safe travels. I've been to SA but only cape town and sourrounding areas so I suspect I didn't see the best of it. Have fun!

evil I could do a couple of threads tomorrow whilst DD1 is at nursery. Now I'm going to show my cluelessness....det did you just copy and paste evils posts and PM them to her? And I'm assuming I can find old threads in my post history?

TheDetective · 18/11/2013 22:59

Click on old thread, click show all posts. Press ctl and f which brings a box up. Type 'evilwater' and you can slip directly to all her posts. Easy :)

Copy and paste in to a message box in a new window. Dahdaaaaah!

:)

TheDetective · 18/11/2013 23:00
