Hello ladies and babies. I'm back from hospital or at least trying to be back!

I haven't read much of the thread (if anything really but will attempt to go back and catch up)

I've been doing some online kitchen shopping and organising. We're ordering a new kitchen and deciding we may as well replace everything in it as well! So out with the old in with the new. Will hopefully be done in the next few weeks :)

Op went well last week. Surgeons words post op were "gosh that really needed done didn't it?" He says my womb has dropped too but he's not fixed that, I don't know what the reason for leaving it was as he didn't give me time to ask. I've been warned not to do anything to jeapordise the repair so for now am a useless lump. DH is off on unpaid leave for a few weeks though which will be useful. I'm not allowed to lift anything really which is really hard!

Em....can't think of much else. DH took j for his MMR etc today which is the first time he has taken either of the kids for jabs. I was quite happy I coudnt go.

That's all I can think of for now. Hopefully will be back on tomorrow at some point.

I'm happy to do a few threads on Wednesday Evil when I'm freelancing and using the laptop. I might start from the earliest threads to avoid duplication with what others have done so far.

PetiteRaleuse · 19/11/2013 07:05

evil when do you need this by? I can do the lot (not working, kids out all day) but this week am quite busy. If it can wait til next Monday I can do then, or possibly this Friday. ???

PetiteRaleuse · 19/11/2013 07:07

Or if several of us take a month each ? Just search her posts, c&p the relevant ones?

ValiumQueen · 19/11/2013 07:37

My Mum hates DD2s name and called her fat bum for several months. She took a long time to call J by his name, calling him Little Man of ages. Grr!

Well done Evil. You are doing so well.

Horsey I am sorry you are having a shit time of it too (((hug)))

McFlounce how strange they did not strap up your womb while they were in there. No doubt budget related.

ValiumQueen · 19/11/2013 07:38

I think PR needs a spreadsheet to allocate threads to.

PetiteRaleuse · 19/11/2013 08:06

Ha ha :o

PetiteRaleuse · 19/11/2013 08:14

I have a spreadsheet atm which is currently missing SEVERAL ADDRESSES.

It took me 5 minutes per thread. I think there must be about 30-40 postnatal threads. We slowed down after 6 months!

Happy birthday little pidg!! Hope you all have a lovely day. Cake

GTbaby · 19/11/2013 10:32

Evil I can try do a few, but laptop broke and wont get it back till nxt week. So ill pick up the left overs at that point.

GTbaby · 19/11/2013 10:34

How about we make a list of what's done. Stats thread style.

Det list the two you have done, then whenever anyone does any they copy the list and add what they have done b

Zamboni · 19/11/2013 11:10

Loads to catch up on!

evil you're doing so well. Can I help with anything practically? The posts - am a bit busy at the moment but if someone allocates me a 'fred then I will do my bit.

Isles glad the spreadsheet financial projections have given you some comfort. I love a bit of that. Soothes me. Grin

mcflounce good to hear from you and glad you are ok post-op. How is J doing?

apple yay for steps. QQ - once you have had a few steps, how long are people waiting to buy shoes? S has taken a few wobbly steps but is very far from actual outdoor walking. I don't want to waste money [haggis ancestry Grin ] on shoes that arent yet needed.

pidj rubbish, rubbish luck. FX it turns for you soon. Anything we can do?

pikz enjoy SA.

kyz E's one year pics were lovely.

chasing lovely to read such a contented post. Much like hearing from thechick on her birthday, and the general tone of yw's posts, reading someone's obvious contentment is joyful and should absolutely be celebrated.

eliza that is very funny, concealed bowl feeding Grin Am sure its just messy hard work to do, but your description made me Smile. Will E be able to move onto lumpy soon?

isles, yw, horsy, det and those of you with canine children too - I got to see what S would be like with a dog when we were at my DPs. DPs have a boistrous golden retriever who can be very gentle. DD has always liked her but been wary and they never get too close to each other. S on the other hand adores the dog. Proper belly laughs every time she comes past. Totally unfazed and crawls right up to her. Poked her in the nose and likes to touch her. Not fussed when she knocks him over when he's doing wobbly standing and she just brushes past him. Got some nice pics of them together. If we werent all allergic and working FT and generally not available, I'd love to have one.

sophia aawwww, about what DS1 said to you. Bit like when DD tells me to "smooch Daddy again".

Nicknames - well, despite deliberately choosing a one sylable name, S is called Sethy (or Seffy by DD), or Sethalicious (I know, ), monkey-chops (amusing in DD's voice) and little bugger (said affectionally but also amusing not good in DD's voice. DD is DD-monster, DD-pie. DH calls both of them "dude". I don't know what you can do really. Even if you give them a nickname as a first name, which DD's sort of is, it gets changed. I'm called a variety of things by a variety of people, some of which are predictable and others not. What can you do?

Weekend was awesome. Too short. Won't see my DBro until June next year now. The surprise and DPs reaction to it was wonderful. We had a big party on the Saturday and all extended family came along. Always nice to see them too. Watching DBro play with DD and S was especially nice. He is fab with them and they love playing with him. DD saying "see you soon Rabbit" (what she calls my bro) made me cry a lot because it wont be soon. Sad But there is skype and my DBro has a wonderful life out there, so things are as they should be. Family is so precious though.

On the friendless thing - I think being a new parent, or having children, can actually be quite isolating. I am quite an extrovert and am lucky to have quite a few friends and try and see people regularly but it simply isnt possible to maintain friendships, much less build new ones, when things like work and sleep and time with DC take natural priority. I tend to do a lot of mine while at work - i.e. meet people for lunch etc. Plus since I moved to my current location, the vast majority of friends are work related, or at least once were. Those that don't work or don't have the kind of jobs where socialising can be incorporated into your day, it must be harder. And my longterm, oldest friends who are scattered far and wide, I only see once or twice a year. Part of modern life - more technology for staying in touch than ever before, and less time to actually stay in touch.

Pennie how's it going in your new location? Have you met many people yet?

VQ, det and horsey hope work situations improve.

Right-ho - am super busy and concealing this long post in an email window so it looks like work is going to result in accidentally emailing someone this if I dont cut and paste right now. haha.

GTbaby · 19/11/2013 11:18

Can u tell my two are asleep. Hmm what chores should I do? Wink

So last few nights A cluster feeds 6ish to 10. Then sleeps 11-4 ish. Bliss after out two hourly feeds all night.
So far I've been exhausted so been co sleeping. Which is slightly uncomfortable as i wake up so stiff. Last night thought 4hours with A in his crib is worth having to get up at4 to get him outa his crib.

Well obviously last night in his crib he just about managed 1hour. Me exhausted just put him in my bed... And he fed then slept.

So he CAN sleep 4hours. But how do I get him to do it in his cot? I don't mind co sleeping after this initial 4hour stint as then he goes back to 2hour feeds.

Elizadoesdolittle · 19/11/2013 13:29

Just popping on to do some freds for Evil. Cheers on how to do it det. Will post what freds I've done when I've finished. How many I do depends on how long E sleeps for!

ChasingDaisy · 19/11/2013 13:38

Afternoon all,

Popped to the doctors this morning about O's eczema and potential nut allergy. Managed to get Aveeno on prescription and Oilatum for the bath. Anyone know if I can use bubble bath as well as the Oilatum?

His advice about testing for a peanut allergy was to just give it a go Hmm Am very tempted to do it camped outside A&E. Will start with strawberries which is my allergen.

Got my judgey pants on in the surgery. A girl of about 15 months old had pierced ears HmmSad With hoop earrings in...

PetiteRaleuse · 19/11/2013 13:46

I've just had to made stock with evian water. Everything was chopped and ready and cooked as needed. Just had to add water to the pots. Thanks water board for not warning the water would be switched off today - they normally put a note out to let us know. No idea how long it will be off for but no time to wait so filled up with evian. Making my own stock was supposed to save me money ffs.

Wankers.

FlouncingIsles · 19/11/2013 13:51

Can we post on the fb group which threads have been done? I have a few hours this evening after yoga to do freelance proofreading and only have one doc to do so I can fire through some. Tuesdays are my night off the daily bedtime battle

Chasing I would use oilatum instead of bubble bath, as a lot of the bubble bath stuff made m's skin worse. Did you get aveeno for the bath? It is v expensive and they are sooo reluctant to prescribe it but I threw a tantrum and got it on repeat. Fortunately M has grown out of her eczema for now so I'm happy to poat you a bottle. PM me your address. It's wonderful stuff Grin

Sophiathesnowfairy · 19/11/2013 13:53

Can I do any of Evil's thread via the iPad, or doesn't it work? I can' towel out how to do it? Confused

Bit of snow atop the mountains but apart from that we are ok. I think the main snow dump was on stunt it is cold though! cold enough for a day time fire this morning. The boys are in nursery so I have done all the ironing (And put away) cleaned the oven and made some tiffin. I am just going to wrap up and go into town for a spot if Christmas browsing. Then it's Os MMR jab.

Sophiathesnowfairy · 19/11/2013 13:55

Grrrrrrr I can't work out how to do it!

Pikz · 19/11/2013 13:58

YW we are off to Cape Town. The coke thing in soppy cups is normal. They are all bonkers. Am dreading it.

Right I came on to give out Wine and hugs to everyone.

I will try and get on when I can.

Evil you are doing amazingly xx

PetiteRaleuse · 19/11/2013 14:12

Ffs the dog's water bowl is empty too have had to fill that with bottled water.

Elizadoesdolittle · 19/11/2013 14:18

I've done back to April 2013. Last thread title I did was:

November 2012 - We're ready for Spring... any time now please!
So we need to do from
November 2012 - The lurker amnesty fred for our quiche....onwards.
It sounds like I did loads but there were quite a lot that evil didn't post on. In fact I started to think the search button wasn't working so I scrolled through a few manually! It was working though (didn't doubt your system det I just started thinking I was doing it wrong!).

Got to go and sort E out now. I'll try and do some more later tonight and post properly.

fruitpastilles · 19/11/2013 14:28

chasing bubble bath doesn't work if there is oilatum in the bath aswell, it just doesn't bubble.
