Envy pennie :)

I hope you settle in well. Enjoy the sea views..

ChasingDaisy · 16/09/2013 16:45

pass Tesco sell owl PJ bottoms for grown ups. £6. I'm rocking mine right now Grin. And wishing I hadn't answered the door to the Ikea delivery man wearing a towel turban. He was hot.

Bryzoan · 16/09/2013 18:42

Just jumping in to shout about my latest find for the cmpi crew - tesco's free from smoothies. Dairy soy and egg free and 133g of calcium each. Coconut milk with banana and apple purees - and they are lush. Taste like piña coladas. G agreed and held onto it very tightly grinning as though it was his birthday already. Makes up for all the times he has sat looking mournfully at dd's yoghurt.

TheDetective · 16/09/2013 18:50

Fanks Grin Bryz I shall send DP to investigate! I bet O would love a smoothie!

DP is currently making us a SW rice pudding, and is doing an Oatly/non sweetner version for O. Hope he likes it!

Bryzoan · 16/09/2013 19:41

That is mg calcium not g calcium obviously. G likes a bit of oatly rice pudding too. But not as much as that smoothie though he is bouncing off the walls now which is disconcerting. Go to sleep little man!.

BigPigLittlePig · 16/09/2013 19:53

Ooh yes bry - when I was still bf I discovered those. They are bloomin lovely. F liked them too. A lot.

GP was, erm, unhelpful. Shall phone occy health. He thought it would be fine to go to work. I don't know. There are some sick people at work who do not need some manky virus on top of their cancer/lung disease/whatever.

TheDetective · 16/09/2013 20:02

I. Am. Raging.

So so so MAD.

I just sent a message to MIL with my shifts til the end of October, as they are now finalised.

Guess what? She has already let me down on one of the days - next Friday.

I am beyond furious. I asked her over and fucking over about this. She made the offer. I wanted a CM. She insisted it would be fine, and she wouldn't be working the times we needed her (Tuesday and half day on Friday).

I feel sick.

This is EXACTLY what I was worried about.

I'm going to have to cancel my plans for tomorrow and try and find childcare. Fucking great.

TheDetective · 16/09/2013 20:04

Might do a passive aggressive FB post asking if anyone knows of any good local childminders with immediate places.

FuckSAKE.

YellowWellies · 16/09/2013 20:14

Bryz where do you find them in Tescos - in the refrigerated section with the other smoothies or in the freaky eater aisle? Jonas loves cold water prawns - another great source of calcium and good fats (and yes I know you're meant to avoid until after one due to the food poisoning risk but he's 11 months and his need for those nutrients is more pressing according to the dietician).

I discovered today that Tesco value cherry bakewell tarts are dairy and soy free - so I bought two boxes and have eaten 3/12 already Grin .

Solo bath time and bedtime was marred by me thinking 'hmm I must wee before I feed him to sleep'. BIG MISTAKE. It resulted in an overtired, hungry and totes emosh bear, weeping, in his sleeping bag clinging to my ankle whilst I'm on the loo. The glamour. I'm telling his future wife that gem Smile .

YellowWellies · 16/09/2013 20:15

Shock FFS Det I'd be raging!

BigPigLittlePig · 16/09/2013 20:22

YW amazing what a few minutes delay can do! F ends up doing a cross between a cry and a chuckle when she can see her bottle but is being made to wait for a second longer than she thinks is acceptable.

Det Angry I feel your rage. Good luck sorting something out.

I had to get weighed at the GP as I wanted the pill so I can stop playing russian roulette - 54 kg Sad Fucking ridiculous. I honestly last weighed that when I was about 13, ie. prepubescent. Which is how I currently look. So on an evening when I just want to scoff a load of icecream/chocolate/pie, I can't because I have a mouth ulcer the size of a friggin island down the side of my tongue (seriously, 2cm x 1cm, it's revolting) so am eating yoghurt Sad

Elizadoesdolittle · 16/09/2013 20:23

det That's really shit about your mil. I hope you sort something. I can imagine how hard it is when realitives look after the lo's.

izzy God that sounds like it's going to be really tough Sad

apple Sad Hugs for you. I hope you get to see your gp soon.

Had a letter in the post today saying they are now offering two and three year olds the flu jab via a nasal spray so going to book DD1 in for that. She had her first afternoon at her new nursery today and loved it.

E is mastering crawling forwards. My life as I know it is over. DH is off to spain for the weekend. Better make sure he puts the stair gate up first.

PurplePidjin · 16/09/2013 20:24

Last straw, Det?

Dp had an interview this afternoon. Finds out tomorrow. Fingers crossed please. I have an interview Wednesday but for pt work in a craft shop. I've also picked up 9 extra hours youth work in the next fortnight which will be a big help.

Snottery teething baby is awake and shouting Sad

ditsygem · 16/09/2013 20:39

Det that is so annoying, I would be furious too!
YW the image of you on the loo with a weeping bear at your ankles made me giggle slightly! bless him. Motherhood is so glamorous isn't it!

ChasingDaisy · 16/09/2013 20:54

Good luck pidj

Yay for crawling Eliza, I have a feeling that O is going to be the last to crawl.

YW Grin at freaky eaters aisle and ankle clinging bear.

Det I would be furious.

Oh and Lily O's stands no chance of having a 'cool' taste in music with me as a mum Grin.

My dad brought round some old family photos today. Me as a baby, with my mum. Felt very odd seeing my mum being a 'mummy' as we aren't close at all. Also some pics of me and my grandad - Oscar has his name as a middle name - I got totes emosh.

As I was trying to get Oscar to sleep tonight he kept pulling my hair and then laughing uproariously when I pulled it away. I was trying to be firm and not make eye contact but his giggle is so infectious Smile

Non-date guy came round tonight to help me build flat pack furniture. Well, he built, I watched and drank tea Grin We talked non-stop again, I love talking to him. And he offered to come round again tomorrow night to help me finish building my wardrobe Smile

ChasingDaisy · 16/09/2013 20:57

Oh pig I feel your pain about the weight Sad If it helps I still haven't reached 7 stone Hmm I am eating more than before, so I must be less stressed, but I am constantly on the move all day so I am going to need to eat a massive amount of calories to actually gain weight. I don't see how it will be possible. Plus I want to start exercising again but that's hardly going to help weight gain.

MadameGazelleIsMyMum · 16/09/2013 20:59

pass and YW thanks.

det I would have serious rage over that too.

pidj fingers crossed!

pennie lots of luck in your new life!

sophia you seem so happy, I love your descriptions.

izzy great to hear from you xx

bp bless you. Wish I could donate some of my far too ample excess!!

eliza we had that letter too for DD but didn't realise it was a nasal spray.

Well S went to sleep like a dream but DD wasn't having any of bedtime. So instead of having a battle, I brought her downstairs and she helped me make tomato and mozzarella mini- quiches. We had loads of fun. I couldn't find the rolling pin for the pastry so we used her toy one! They are most definitely not SW approved but should be nice for quick DC meals instead of the fish fingers and beans we seem to rely on too often.

Got some heavy duty antibiotics from nice GP. I suspect her willingness to prescribe as demanded was based on her embarrassment when she initially laughed when I said what I was doing this weekend and then stopped when she saw my face and realised I was serious.

Oh, and S is farting in his sleep. Proper rumbley farts.

Elizadoesdolittle · 16/09/2013 21:08

I was quite relieved madame as she has not long had her pre school boosters. I din't hink I'd get her back for another injection so soon but a nasal spray will be completley doable.

Bryzoan · 16/09/2013 21:15

Yw - the refrigerated freaky eaters bit. By refrigerated spy yoghurts. They come in a box of 4 little pouches. Cold water prawns sound good - except bloomin' g can't do fish either - he is a proper little pickle. Love the loo image.

Very frustrating det. Could dp cover this once?

Mouth sounds awful bp. Can't believe your Gp thought you should be in work. Crazy. Hand foot and mouth is rotten.

Good luck vvvdppp :-)

And good luck pennie - here is to a lovely new life and shed loads of new opportunities.

Bryzoan · 16/09/2013 21:17

Soy yoghurts not spy yoghurts! If spies had to buy special yoghurts it would blow their cover somewhat...

Kyz · 16/09/2013 21:18

Hey guys, I am alive still, just not in a great place atm and finding things difficult so haven't really been on. Hope you're all well x

PurplePidjin · 16/09/2013 21:21
MadameGazelleIsMyMum · 16/09/2013 21:23

Hugs kyz, hope you have some RL support xx

YellowWellies · 16/09/2013 21:25

Kyz you've been missed. Brew and Thanks

Bryz Grin to spy yogurts! Think I'll be insisting DH and I go on a trip to the massive tescos in Dunfermline.

I haz sleeping enfant, I haz Wine and I haz a king size bed to myself. Wish we had a wood burner as it'd be a lovely night for a fire. Must stop pissing my freelance earnings on buggies, puppies and supermarket clothes. Focus woman!!!!!

I resisted the open bag of minstrels in the kitchen so please no 2 hour waking for wired chat and face patting tonight bear!
