Oh bugger BP. The pox would have likely covered every inch of her.

Madame you need to cancel this climb and your toe is a great excuse. You are not ready for this, and cannot go climbing mountains with a gammy toe. You also need your weekends to rest in the bosom of your family with all this stress at work.

ValiumQueen · 15/09/2013 21:39

Not that I am telling you what to do Madame. Obviously Blush

ChasingDaisy · 15/09/2013 21:45

Funny you should say that about the facial fuzz pig as non-date guy also has a beard and O luffs him. I'm seeing him again tomorrow night btw And yes, definitely no work for you. Sounds nasty.

Passmethecrisps · 15/09/2013 21:46

P is in love with the owner of our fab Indian. He has a fabulously long white beard. She lolls and lolls when she sees it

YellowWellies · 15/09/2013 21:50

Pass Jonas is losing his leg chubs now he's crawling. I too wish I could fill him up on cake. Buuuuut on the bright side - we have a set number of fat cells and these are formed in babyhood and determine much about our weight in adulthood - our two will be much less likely to have weight issues in later life so whilst they can't eat cake now they could be those annoying buggers who can eat what they like in later life - like shit loads of cake Grin . (Having said that I did give him black pudding and fried mushrooms from our greasy fried breakfast and he went nuts for it.)

I'm researching dairy free birthday cake options and Dr Oetkers chocolate frosting mix is dairy free so I'm going to try to make him a chocolate one. It will be fugly. All my baking is Grin .

MM baby is called Olivia. Liv for short and is vair scrummy. Why is P being a wankstain? You're a more patient woman than me.

DP has built a puppy pen / enclosure in the conservatory - am feeling a bit more sorted about picking up the pup. Said enclosure is also bear proof..... hmmmmm....

BP Jonas got hand, foot and mouth in April - its hideous and made his reflux awful for a week. Thanks Thanks Thanks Thanks to you and Wine .

BigPigLittlePig · 15/09/2013 21:51

F likes to pat my brothers facial fuzz. But then she has also taken to roundly slapping people on both cheeks at the same time with gay abandon.

MadameGazelleIsMyMum · 15/09/2013 21:59

Ah thanks VQ and i know you are looking out for me but there is no way I would or could cancel. Is for charity, with friends and I have been pledged quite a bit of cash. Am going to get patched up as best I can and aim to survive it. I have done a bit of training and I'm pretty sure I will manage. I am expecting it to be painful and v difficult but I will have adrenaline, my friends and my determination to help me. I'm not going to do it if I am really advised not to but am hoping I can get it sufficiently sorted to manage. Work should be better than it has been too touch wood.

YellowWellies · 15/09/2013 22:06

Madame go kick mountain ass. If you're wearing comfy boots and socks and the toe is strapped right you can give it a damn good go. I know I'd still pay up sponsor money happily to anyone who gave it a try.

Passmethecrisps · 15/09/2013 22:10

Thanks yw. P has never had proper chubs anywhere that I can recall. She needs to chill the fuck out with moving! I know she is fine. Just had a minor wobble when buying her owl motif items. It can happen to the best of us Grin

Passmethecrisps · 15/09/2013 22:12

madam you are one super slice of quiche that is for sure. You work so bloody hard it is hardly surprising that you haven't had much training. Slow and steady wins the race - I say this having climbed Kilimanjaro with no training. Take it slow and keep hydrated.

MissMummy1 · 15/09/2013 22:16

Ahh lovely name choice! I can lend you A-pup to test out the pen. He has been an utter bollocks today, his worst misdemeanours include stealing M's snail, attempting to bury said snail and then making a break for it when the gate blew over in the wind. Good job he is adorable. Good job also he is a wimp and stood crying at the front door once he had escaped. Hmm

P is just generally being a tit. And I am generally being intolerant. BUT tomorrow I have 12 whole man free hours - hoorah!

YellowWellies · 15/09/2013 22:17

I did the Inca trail on no training and on 40 fags a day Blush . Obvs don't do as I do but be confident, slow and steady as Pass says and you will be awesome.

PP secret baptism involved a bottle of holy water from Lourdes Grin and she wonders why I wouldn't leave J alone with her! Grin

Right early night methinks. Night lovelies x

Elizadoesdolittle · 15/09/2013 22:59

pp Sounds lovely, glad you had a good day.

pass I know what you mean about the clothes. I had to buy E new stuff the other day and got 3-6 months. Felt very weird buying stuff in that size range for a 10 month old! I got stuff with owls on too!

izzy welcome back and glad you had a good holiday.

madame Gosh, your toe sounds quite painful. Bloody well done you for even attempting it. Hope work clams down for you.

E does hi 5's, waving and now open mouthed kisses which I adore. She also does the teeth grinding thing too. I can't stand it! Set's my teeth on edge.

TheDetective · 15/09/2013 23:40

Welcome back Izzy I have been awaiting an update on J! Glad you enjoyed your holiday! I have McDonalds envy Envy - see! Grin

Chasing I explained this to DP last week. I am finding it VERY hard to not know EVERYTHING that O has done in the day. I want to know exactly what time he woke, exactly how much bottle he took and at what time, how much breakfast and what time, how many dirty/wet nappies, what time he went for his nap, what time he woke... you get the picture. Fortunately DP understood - hoping MIL will too. I know exP is a knobber, but if you explained that you need to know things in order to understand O's needs, would he text/write down the essentials? I don't like not knowing, so DP is going to keep a record for me and my control freakish ways. If you say it is for O's benefit, would he be more willing?

Lily I got O a snowsuit on eBay too. Now I am stalking looking for the next size up as the one I got fits where it touches Hmm. Stupid coat! I need a lighter weight one though, for my little bundle of sweat. Blush

Stunt and Pidj Grin for sleeping through! Fanfuckingtastic!

Apple I plonked O down on the kitchen floor last week. I picked up something off the floor, and went to put it on the side. In that time O moved faster than lightening to the stairs, and was on the 4th step up before I got to him. Fecking babies, fecking climbing! They need to cut it out!

Pass a couple of days ago O had a mammoth afternoon nap. I was merrily mooching around, enjoying the peace, when I had a total internal panic. I ran up the stairs, and as I reached his room, I could hear him Confused just muttering to himself. No crying, just really quiet musing going on! Even the monitor didn't pick it up! I wonder how long he had actually been awake! Either way, he must have been having fun to just sit there by himself! When I stormed went in, he gave me a massive grin and a squeal of delight?!

Stunt Yup, we've found milk in sausages too. O hasn't had sausage yet. I've not found any. Stupid fecking allergies. They can fuck right off! O is costing me an absolute fortune in special foods just for him :(

Pass Fruit fiend here too! He has swapped his afternoon bottle for a full banana. How many banana's a day is too much? Sometimes he has a full one in his breakfast. Then one in the afternoon. Too much? Perhaps. Confused What fruit does P like? O still likes it mushed up mostly. Other than banana.

Pidj Sounds like a lovely day! Am glad you all enjoyed it!

GT I pray your BIL gets an O like baby in the very near future. Wish him good fucking luck on that one!!

Pass Our babies are working on moving and destroying Grin. Along with giving us bald patches and harassed looking faces. I wouldn't know about 1D. It's banned in our house thanks to DS1, and DP... Speaking of moving - O is still really unsteady on his feet, but persists in walking anyway. I remember DS1 just walking after a couple of days practicing. O has been practicing all month Hmm. I guess his body isn't quite ready, but his mind is Grin. He lets go of stuff and walks in between, but often takes a tumble!

BP Sounds like Hand foot and mouth. Highly contagious, especially in nurseries! Won't do any harm though. DS1 had it as a little one when he was in nursery.

Ahhhh... now I've just read everyone else saying it sounds like the same! Slow Detective!

Also, I think you should stay off work! And yep, watch out for F getting it. She may well of had it in fact, while she had the pox. Only because she had pox, it might not have been obvious.

Pass I saw them :) Thought of you. Very nearly bought something with a pussy cat on once. I saw it in the sale and thought of you. But then I thought that would be a bit weird. So regretfully put it back Grin. O wears his 9-12 stuff even though 6-9 fits okay. I do get a bit bored of the same old clothes. But then I miss them when they don't fit. Weirdo.

VQ yes you do know everything Grin.

BP I really should have read before posting. I now see the above comment re: pox and hand foot and mouth was a bit daft!! Poor F and poor you!

Madame I agree with mummyVQ! No mountains. DP would have died doing that. Seriously. Don't do it!

Right. That is it. I'm done. Am I? I hope I haven't missed anything. This has taken me over a frigging hour!!!!

TheDetective · 15/09/2013 23:42

I am trying to decipher if O has separation anxiety rage or stairgate rage. Either way, he stands at the stair gate when I go out and gets all batshit on me.

But not to anyone else.

As long as I am in the room, everyone else can do as they please Grin.

Though once I am out of sight, I am also out of mind it seems. As he gets over it. Grin

I suspect it is just the stair gate!

TheDetective · 15/09/2013 23:58

Oh. I forgot to ask for advice! I have been busily spending away on eBay.

I was thinking of buying the cheap holographic gift boxes to put the toys in and then wrap them with paper. As we all know the best bit is the paper and boxes, yes?! However I can't find what I am after.

Does anyone have any suggestions? I've thought about gift bags and then wrapping those. Not too sure yet.

The boxes would be recycled. Used again next year! So I'm not worried about waste etc. I just don't want to spend a fortune.

ValiumQueen · 16/09/2013 04:44

Det I have seen holographic boxes in Poundland.

Just spent an hour trying to settle a baby that just wants to play. Usually when he wakes he is upset and angry. Tonight he is full of beans. He is still not quite asleep.

I burned my finger moving the microwave steam steriliser. It has now gone manky. I have also lost my plaster and I am hoping it is in my bed not Js. I am pretty sure I did not have it when he first woke.

Going to try to attempt sleep. I can hear J shuffling around. Bless him.

He will not have any of his birthday cake. Mean mummy.

GingerBeerAndTinnedPeaches · 16/09/2013 07:25

Why is PMT accompanied by bloating? I have noted down my AF for once so know the gloom I feel this morning is PMT. But all weekend I have been feeling really physically confident, and this morning my muffin top has come back in all its glory and I feel like shit.

Double whammy: PMT and looking awful.

GingerBeerAndTinnedPeaches · 16/09/2013 07:26

Oh, and morning quiche.

TheDetective · 16/09/2013 07:41

Because someone had it in for women?! The bastard. Hmm

I also have a question:

Can anyone explain WHY O generally sleeps through the night, EXCEPT on the nights I am going to work? Seriously. My 3rd day in today and his 3rd night wakening in the same time frame.

He rarely wakes unless it is teeth. Last night was not teeth. He just woke sobbing and low level crying but couldn't settle himself. Weird.

I am tired. And off to work. Fucksake.

TheDetective · 16/09/2013 07:42

Thanks VQ. Are they big boxes do you know?! Am hoping its like a pack of five for a quid!!!

YellowWellies · 16/09/2013 08:13

Three chocolate minstrels for me equals 2 hour night waking. OK only one night waking so it could have been worse but still a shock to the system at 2am. Yaaaaaaaaawn. DH is away at a conference in Inverness tonight so I'll be staying away from any dairy as we tag teamed last nights waking and I don't fancy a repeat performance on my watch. Envy

ChasingDaisy · 16/09/2013 08:14

Good luck at work today det. Hope your fanjo doesnt hurt too much.

VQ how lovely that J is waking up happy. Obviously not so great that he is waking, but still.

O loves C'est la vie by B*Witched.

Lily311 · 16/09/2013 08:21

chasing let's hope his music taste will change... Grin

MissMummy1 · 16/09/2013 08:25

Matilda, Aulay and I are eating breakfast. Well, Aulay is circling the table like a furry shark. Just the three of us. It is a bit nice!!

I wrote a very passive aggressive fb status directed at the ILs but have deleted it. The fuckers were told 3 MONTHS ago that P might have a brain tumour. In that time they haven't so much as texted to ask if he's okay. They clearly don't give a fuck about M either. Sad
