I'm here too vq battling again SadBrew

GTbaby · 22/08/2013 00:59

PR pasta sauce was good. Smelt great. Tasted it, needed salt. But was good for lo. He was a bit confused by taste at first but I think he liked it.

Since lo is pulling up on tables I have moved my preg vits up on to a high shelf and scissors are only out when he is not there.

Medication around the house is a stressful thing for me. As PIL have loads of it. All kept high up and out of reach. However, fil (who is quite old) drops pills on the floor occasionally and doesn't notice.
Nephews have found them before, luckily they are good at telling us they have found something in the floor. But worried that lo is too small to do that yet. Not sure how I'm going to tackle it yet. Blush

I'm sure I had more to write, and now I'm having mind blank. Confused

Started gathering things together to pack my hospital bag Shock scary. Using all the stuff I bought last time so slot easier this time. Just need to pack lo a bag as well this time. I'm keeping his nappy bag stocked up constantly now (usually I fill up when going out) so ICE he is sorted.
Need to buy him a big bro top! Add that to my to do list.

(Side note- Harrods Xmas grotto tickets are released in two weeks. This is also on my to do list Blush if you want them you need to sign up to their reward card now though)

Oh yeah. Chasing. How exciting!

Oh no my tummy is not round. It's getting pointy when I tense. Does that mean my muscles are splitting or something.
Right I better sleep! Looking after nephews which will be good actually as they will play with lo n I can get on with my packing Grin

GTbaby · 22/08/2013 01:05

Oh why in particular i mentioned the scissors. I have little scissors for cutting yarn. Making a blanket for bump. They are like snips and are very sharp and very pointy. Noticed them on table other day. Not suitable to use at all when lo is in the room. Need to buy some baby friendly ones. Or may go back to using nail cutters to snip the yarn!

izzybizzybuzzybees · 22/08/2013 02:38

Back again. Sorry to see a few others also. I'm so tired.

Pikz · 22/08/2013 04:27

Big hugs to iZzy, PPand vq. Am here too.
We had holding our breath hysterics. Had to spray him with Evian spray to shock him out of it. Now asleep And I can't sleep as so anxious Hmm

PurplePidjin · 22/08/2013 04:28

Ditto, Izzy, although mine is less long term than yours.

Gt, try a quick unpicker. Still not baby friendly but lidded and better than scissors!

Lily311 · 22/08/2013 04:44

So sorry for bad nights. We had 4 wakings till 9 but has been quiet ever since. I blame the tesco delivery driver, he was too loud.

I bought a bike yesterday with a bike seat on for O. Picking it up today. Eeek. But I live next to the river so will be nice going for bike rides, also we have good bike lanes.

49 days till I'm back to the UK, not like I'm counting or anything Grin.

PetiteRaleuse · 22/08/2013 07:03

Horrible night here too. LO's worst in a long while. I am hoping it's teeth. I got up about 30 minutes ago as I heard her whimpering but she's not awake. Good job I didn't take a pill last night as DH wouldn't have been able to manage all the awake time on his own Hmm

PetiteRaleuse · 22/08/2013 07:05

pikz that's a good idea with the water spray.

Sophiathesnowfairy · 22/08/2013 07:23

pikz love the house. I wonder too though if is a touch smaller than looks. Would it be worth looking closer to Fleet, may be slightly more for your money Hmm have a friend who lives in Fleet and loves it, great schools, she can walk into the centre, lovely house, ideal really says she who has just moved to the arse end of arse end and is happy about it

What is DP aiming to become the champion of dare I ask?

mm good luck with the interview today. I meant to say the other day and didn't get round to it, the Out n About is ace. When you lock the front wheel it copes with fluffy sand no problem, going up hill too. I am really please with it and I got 25% off at kiddicare as I got the v2 and they have just bought out a v3

We are spending the morning in the house this morning varnishing doors! Grin The boys are going to go to MIL, and tomorrow morning too. She would have them all the time but I don't want to push my luck so I am saving it for the times we really need it.

Yesterday was haemorrhaging money day. We bought a new oak double bed and side tables for us, a massive round oak table and chair for the kitchen and two pretty vintage looking iron white beds for the girls. And associated mattresses. And mirrors for the bathroom and I treated myself to this throw which I have been coveting for ages. I am thinking mountain colours.

Sophiathesnowfairy · 22/08/2013 07:25

Sorry for all the rubbish nights,

PetiteRaleuse · 22/08/2013 07:43

sophia that all sounds so exciting it must be lovely to have a completely new start like that - a blank canvas. Lovely throw btw.

I hope little J is feeling a bit better this morning vq you really need a break from this bollocks.

PurplePidjin · 22/08/2013 08:03

Lily that sounds like fun :)

Pikz i blow on R for a similar effect Sad hope all's well now/soon

Sophia how exciting Thanks

R has another tooth, explains the night i guess. He also did his ta for daddy :o

ditsygem · 22/08/2013 08:38

Crawls in, takes coffee from Sophia and perks up a little.
Bad night here too - unusual for us at the moment (thank god) but I was up from 2-4.30 then awake at 6 when DH went to work. Also want to kill my sodding cat who cried and scratched F's door the whole time I was in there putting him back to sleep which wasn't helping the matter at all. And grrr at my DH who managed to sleep through the cat's noises so didn't come to take him away from the door.
Sophiaall that spending sound like alot of fun. Gorgeous throw. I've got a lovely blue Avoca throw on my sofa and I loves it.

I also have a non-talking baby. He does laugh alot and shrieks and grunts but definitely no babbling of any sort. I can't wait for him to do it, but just because I love to talk so much I can't wait to have conversations properly with him rather then it all being one sided!!

Off to find more coffee....

MissMummy1 · 22/08/2013 08:41

Hugs to everyone having bad nights. Aulay dog has cracked sleeping through and stopped the wolf howling, but M was really unsettled last night and ended up in with me at 4am.

Thank you for all the good lucks - I am sooo nervous as this job would change our lives so much!

I love that throw sophia. Jealous of your furniture splurge.

I hope you have a better day today picz - yesterday sounded horrific.

MissMummy1 · 22/08/2013 08:43

The only word M has sussed is 'Rara'. Everytime she sees my sister Laura she does grabby hands and screeches 'Rara rara rara' !!

Pikz · 22/08/2013 08:55

We get mama dada and nana. I think more by luck than judgement.

Thank you all for your support yesterday and last night. We are back to solid poo and he woke up happy at 7.30 so fingers crossed we are through the worst.

Big hugs to all xx

Pikz · 22/08/2013 08:58

Sophia I want that throw its gorgeous!

StuntNun · 22/08/2013 10:53

We had another bad night last night as well. So much for hoping a week's sleep would help DH cope with the night wakings. The shouting and swearing was terrible. Unfortunately I was really tired and had had wine as well so I couldn't bf J back to sleep and I wasn't waking quickly enough to see to him. DH ended up dumping J in his cot to cry it out so we had fifteen minutes of screaming in the middle of the night before he finally fell asleep. The nights are so awful I feel ready to put J up for adoption but by morning I recover my equilibrium again. I suspect there's a top tooth coming through and the poor little mite is in pain but Calpol will only do so much to help.

chasing Hurry up and reply woman!!!!!!!!!!

Off to baby group with a grumpy sod Hmm

PetiteRaleuse · 22/08/2013 11:12

Agh LO has cried all fucking morning. Non stop. Has only drunk 100ml of milk, won't eat, no fever, definitely teeth and now just exhaustion. I fucking hate teething. DD1 was a breeze in comparison - the first eight teeth hardly bothered her at all.

ChasingDaisy · 22/08/2013 12:29

Fuck a duck. Well I nearly didn't manage 'everyone fed nobody dead' today...

TheDetective · 22/08/2013 13:02

Shit. O picked up food off the floor but I don't know what but he's vomiting everywhere. Fuck. Everything is coming up :(

TheDetective · 22/08/2013 13:08

At baby group that is. Otherwise I'd know what he ate!

ChasingDaisy · 22/08/2013 13:53

Fuck. He ok now? Were there other babies there eating? Was it definitely food?
