det LO knows 'no' too :) it's a fucking joke for her
I shout no, she stops. Then she checks I'm not looking and does whatever no is anyway!

:o

TheDetective · 19/07/2013 23:36

Oh! I forgot to share what can only be described as fucking ace news. Those who have read my whingings will know what this means...

DP's car went for it's MOT today.

It passed.

Nuff said.

Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin

First time ever!!!

PetiteRaleuse · 19/07/2013 23:37

izzy we will find a solution. The power ofthe quiche infinite :o

PetiteRaleuse · 19/07/2013 23:38

Rahhhhh rah whoop det

TheDetective · 19/07/2013 23:39

See O just didn't even respond. Most babies I know do what you say! Look, laugh and carry on! I could have handled that!

It was the total disregard for my, DP's, anyone really, voice. It made me irrationally worried.

Kyz O is incredibly strong, and I am forever pinning the rascal to the floor, my knee, the pram, whatever.

O wants to do what O wants to do. Rarely this may coincide with what I want him to do. Rarely... very rarely Hmm.

And I'm sick of getting shit everywhere 3 times a fucking day because he will not listen or be distracted from putting his hand between his legs, under his bum, before I can move the nappy etc etc....

izzybizzybuzzybees · 19/07/2013 23:40

Yes mum! I mean det

Off to bed now!

pr I love the quiche and I know you guys will support me. I especially love the haggisy peeps who I've met...already looking forward to the next meet!

TheDetective · 19/07/2013 23:46

Oh, and you should have seen me wrestling with him in an attempt to keep him under some sort of control last night. 30 minute leavers concert at school, and I went plied with snacks and toys. I ended up in the foyer with him crawling out the main doors on to the car park... he just wouldn't be placated, and wanted to be free...

Not taking him on wednesday for the leavers assembly as I missed so much of DS1 in a wig, shell bra and hula skirt dancing like a stripper Hmm while impersonating the school dinner ladies Hmm Hmm Hmm last night. DP can stay at home with him while I sob in to my handbag.

PetiteRaleuse · 19/07/2013 23:56

Autocorrect failed me the last few posts. The power of the quche IS infinite.

izzy you will have better nights. Maybe, even if you switch to ff it won't be tomorrow. Or Sunday. But whatever you choose it will happen. And until it does we will be shaking our pompoms and giving massively high kicks forwimmen what have given birth and cheering you on. And if any of us could swap for one night we'd do it. I know that's easy to say, from France, but I think I'm speaking for us all.

izzybizzybuzzybees · 20/07/2013 00:08

Aaw thanks pr :-)

Was all set for bed and realised I needed to ecoredd... Fuck sticks!

izzybizzybuzzybees · 20/07/2013 00:09

Express even! God knows what the above means!

PetiteRaleuse · 20/07/2013 00:15

Am still awake if it helps. Am working on work issues. Preparing my list of facts for next weeks' discussions.

Very dull.

izzybizzybuzzybees · 20/07/2013 00:32

Dull but necessary pr.

Finished expressing and am heading to bed. It's fecking roasting here!

Night night quiche... I'm away for a good 11 hour sleep! Woohoo!

ValiumQueen · 20/07/2013 02:46

Just posting to say I got J off to sleep without a bottle! First time ever! He kept falling asleep the second I picked him up, but rolling onto tummy and waking the second I put him down, so I let him go on his side and rubbed his back and he went to sleep! How long for I do not know.

Not caught up. Hope izzy is asleep and the kids are at GPs.

Hope PR is not up stressing x

Waves to PP and others who will be up for sure at some point x

Kirrin · 20/07/2013 03:43

Enjoy sleeping izzy:)

Yay for sleeping with no bottle VQ Hope he stays down.

Brilliant news on the MOT det Perhaps you have now broken the jinx and all cars of yours will pass their MOT first time from now on.

We went out for lunch today and it was the first time that N was actually a bit of a pain. She usually just sits and smiles at everyone but now she's more mobile she just wants to be down and free. She is sooo close to crawling - she's at the stage of getting up on all fours and rocking back and forth but not actually going any where.

ChasingDaisy · 20/07/2013 05:21

As izzy is hopefully enjoying a wonderful sleep I don't feel guilty about saying that O just slept 6.45 - 5 and was back in his cot by 5.10 Smile

BigPigLittlePig · 20/07/2013 06:25

Morning all. Shall attempt to post something coherent, but will probably fail unless I copy and paste one of kyz's posts...

Izzy I am very pro-bf too, but you have been through so much now. Like others have said, although bf is much logistically easier than ff, there must be something else in your diet that's upsetting him for him to still be so unhappy. I hope you had a wonderful nights sleep last night and are feeling like a new(ish) woman this morning.

Det I wondered how the leavers do went - shame you didn't get to test the waterproof mascara! Glad O has learnt no, should make your life slightly easier.

Chasing it was lovely to hear such a positive post - try to remember how you felt yesterday, as proof that there are good days, and there will be more and more of those. And well done O on teeth/sleeping.

Also well done to M MM (I think it was her who slept brilliantly on Thursday night...?)

Pidj what a relief your mum can help out with R, that must be a weight off your mind, albeit slightly late in the day!

Black out blinds - we have the Gro one for F (ugly but works), and dsd has an Argos roller blind, which works pretty well but as others have said, there's a definite gap around the edges which lets light through. Stops her waking at 4 though and prolongs her waking til 6 Envy

Feeling a bit better this morning, although my throat feels like I've swallowed a razor blade. Temperature is now a respectable 35.5. Not relishing work today, but am in serious need of some money ignores fact that won't actually get paid it for another 7 weeks

Sophiathesnowfairy · 20/07/2013 06:50

We too have a Gro Anywhere blind, is great. Have just bought navy blue curtains with blackout linings for the boys rooms at new house. It was a battle with myself because I really wanted these Laura Ashley ones but I probably would have needed a blackout blind as well, so my practical head took over. I will make the rooms look colourful with some wall stickers though, I have spotted some great ones at not on the high street.

Naughty littlecO did not go to bed till 9 pm last night. I am it sure if it is the heat or if his top toth is on it's way.

izzy I hope you got a decent snooze.

det woop woop for the MOT Grin

Sophiathesnowfairy · 20/07/2013 06:52

bp be kind to yourself today xx

PetiteRaleuse · 20/07/2013 07:32

I am a sad case. Before checking the thread each morning this week I have been checking the headlines for news of the royal baby.
You heard it here first, still no baby.

MadameGazelleIsMyMum · 20/07/2013 07:49

Hope izzy is still sleeping

bp get well soon

High 5 vq on a self settle! Feels like that is light years away for us, although apparently he manages this perfectly at nursery!

We are en route to London. Decided to get on with it when DS woke at 5am. Just drove past Stonehenge in beautiful morning sunshine. Stunning. Rural England can be so beautiful as well.

BigPigLittlePig · 20/07/2013 07:57

PR I check several times a day, don't know what's wrong with me. I'm v excited sad act

GTbaby · 20/07/2013 08:01

VQ. Woop.

Did someone say there is a 9month sleep refression? As I think lo is now going thro itHmm

Izzy hope u slept well x

Pr did u manage to sleep and get your work stuff done?

Chasing ur lo is gorgeous. Can totally understand looking at pictures cheering you up. I alway look at FB pics when having a Hmm moment. Our kids r so cute. Always put a smile on my face. Particularly a set of twins who r just to scrummy!

Fx lo settles for his am nap now. As I am exhausted n need another hours kip.

BigPigLittlePig · 20/07/2013 08:03

First morning this morning that I haven't bf F. Could it be that I have bf her for the last time?? Sad

PetiteRaleuse · 20/07/2013 08:08

GT since I first (well first this year) had issues with work back in March I pretty much havn't slept much more than three or four hours a night anyway. But yes I got it done thanks. A lovely long list of fact and fun.

MissMummy1 · 20/07/2013 08:24

She did it again! 8 until now Grin I love her a bit more today.

Hope the quiet night meant lofs of sleep was had.

I have lost my fecking car keys. They are in the car somewhere I think, as it is still starting and driving but I cannot lock it or leave it anywhere - despite going through the whole thing trying to find the bastard key Angry
