I check for royal baby news every morning afternoon and evening too too. Trying not to get too impatient Hmm

Thank you GT. I know I spam the fb page with photos but one of the hardest things I have found about being single is the lack of a partner to share cute photos with.

I think Oscar may have had his best night ever last night. 6.45 - 5 then 5.10 - 7.20 when I had to wake him up. Think his emerging tooth must have been bothering him in previous nights.

He's off to his dads today and I am going kettle and toaster shopping.

MissMummy1 · 20/07/2013 08:32

Poated too soon...

Fab news on the MOT det - I have only ever had to put one car through an MOT (which was a fucking disaster) as I seem to have a happy nack of killing them within 2 weeks of the test date Confused

My sister stayed over last night. We drank wine and finished M's celebration cards. Which are tac-tastic primary school teacher wonderful! Until dp stuck 3 of them through the laminator - lamination too far. Also my best friend agreed to be her 'guide father' - like an unofficial god father - which I am de-lighted about!!

Hope everyone has a super sunny saturday (Wink ). Madame have fun in london.

Bugger one more thing - dp wants to go camping next friday for a few days if the weather is still good. Any recomendations for where to go? He is happy wildcamping I am not Are we mad taking M in this heat and disrupting her routine nkw she is apparently sleeping?

YellowWellies · 20/07/2013 08:34

Yesssssssss MM did you lock him indoors and his 'she's crying and needs fed' helpfulness in a cupboard? Grin

YellowWellies · 20/07/2013 08:41

We love wild camping at Applecross or up near Loch Tummel. Won't there be a lot of flying bitey beasties this time of year? Also taking home a car full of pooey nappies in a heat wave and battling with dawn at 4am in a transparent tent would make me err toward September rather than now..... Temperature wise she'll be fine at night but could struggle to keep cool during the day I'd reckon. With a baby at least when wild camping you won't have to worry about waking the campsite Smile

Pikz · 20/07/2013 09:08

Madam have a lovely time Smile

Chasing pics when you feel low are brill and I always love seeing them

Det excellent news on mot

VQ awesome J and MM awesome M! I think camping is mad in this heat but I'm not a camper.

I love PPI refunds!!! Shopping trip on Sunday with mum me thinks!

Taking LO to a rugby tournament today...sad I'm not playing but excited to introduce him to that world. Just got him down for his nap in cot... Not self settling for naps yet but I'm not rocking him either so progress!

Can't remember what I've missed! So Brew to all and Thanks

MissMummy1 · 20/07/2013 09:23

Me: "I'm not sure camping in this heat is wise"
DP: "But I am Bear Grylls' love child"

Hmm
Pikz · 20/07/2013 09:26

MM my response would be 'well I hope you and bear have a lovely time'

PurplePidjin · 20/07/2013 09:28

MM, tell him he can bugger off on his own, you're booking in to at his expense Angry

Usual 1:20 and 3:50 wakings here. Getting a bit fed up waiting for him to grow out of them though Sad

itsnotyouitsMeals · 20/07/2013 09:49

Hooray for good nights ladies! Am excited as it is down to 26 in our room. It feels temperate after 29!

Anyway. Campers. DH had been given some cash for his birthday and it's burning a hole in his pocket and he wants to buy a canvas bell tent but the groundsheets are PVC. Cue much disappointment as we avoid PVC, it being evil stuff on many levels. Any recommendations for canvas tents sans the vinyl? Thanks.

PetiteRaleuse · 20/07/2013 09:55

I went camping in Shieldaig and wild camping up a mountain near Plockton years ago. It was beautiful up there and the pubs did amazing food. I hate camping though my ex loved it. We were supposed to go to Mexico ti stay on a ranch for our honeymoon. He wanted to leave the ranch and go walking and camping in the mountains. I wanted to stay at the ranch and ride horses. In the end we agreed that we would just go on separate honeymoons. I wonder why we broke up... that and the fact he was a twat

If ever my girls want to go camping they will have to join the Scouts. I like a bed, a hot shower and a minibar complimentary tea and biscuits :o

Sophiathesnowfairy · 20/07/2013 10:17

mm if I were camping in Scotland I would go to a little campsite I know at the foot of the Cuillins on Skye. Heaven. Think is called GlenBrittle.

Sophiathesnowfairy · 20/07/2013 10:21

Oo and I love Plockton pr Is very pretty swallows and amazons in Scotland I think. And mm might be cooler if you go up there.

Sophiathesnowfairy · 20/07/2013 10:22
Sophiathesnowfairy · 20/07/2013 10:23

Am creating curry for DH's return, mixed grill, tarka Dahl and have a lamb and apricot curry simmering on hob. Note to self, do not eat anything all day.

TheDetective · 20/07/2013 10:49

I still can't work out if O is vomiting because of reflux, or a bug. He just keeps bringing mostly small amounts up, but some bigger ones too. Confused

I am going to sleep on the sofa. Downstairs in our house is so lovely and cool.

Upstairs is a fiery hell. I felt so unwell when waking up this morning. Hmm

I think I am just going to stay inside today. Fed up of heat now!

TheDetective · 20/07/2013 10:52

Oscar is definitely cruising now. He can even let go of what he is holding and stand momentarily.

Fuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuckdon'twantan8monthwalker

MissMummy1 · 20/07/2013 10:53

We have a Norwegian lavvu tent meals - fairly sure the groundsheet isn't PVC.

I quite like the idea of a few days away, and if in a tent is all we can afford right now and it keeps his lordship happy then I'm certainly all for it. We have citronella lanterns to keep biters away.

Kyzordz · 20/07/2013 11:03

Morning all :) wasn't as bright here this morning so got 7pm-8am :)

Thanks for the blinds suggestions, did look at proper blinds but the windows are 8ft wide and 5ft deep, and most blinds are only 6ft wide so I just went for the gro bag blind thing

That's really good pp will be nice for you and dp to go out for a drink I bet :)

Aw gt it happens to them all, glad he seems ok

bplp hope you feel better soon :)

izzy I really hope you got a good nights sleep last night!!

Woohoo for getting j to sleep without a bottle vq!

Woohoo mm!! Sounds like a fab night for you too chasing :)

Great news det re the mot :) hope o doesn't have a bug... No temp or anything?

Hope you have a lovely time madame, you too pikz

Today is a day of cleaning and cursing and worrying. And sweating but not as much as yesterday by the looks of it

ChasingDaisy · 20/07/2013 11:18

When Oscar sees his dad he says 'dadadada' and I get 'mamama' . I birthed a genius Grin

PetiteRaleuse · 20/07/2013 11:20

Ooh am jealous of all your curries. I'm making a leftovers pasta sauce right now. Would much prefer a curry. With naan bread.

Sophiathesnowfairy · 20/07/2013 11:22

I discovered a healthy Indian cookery book, think purchased by one of DHs exs it is fab. The whole house smells cinemony.

Lily311 · 20/07/2013 11:29

pr I check the news as well. Before mails and Facebook. There. I said it too. Also with you on the camping thing, did it once and was enough. I like air con, bed, bath and privacy.

chasing I love seeing O, pls do keep posting. He is one cute little baby.
I use whatsapp and send cute baby pic to everyone, don't care whether they want to see her as often or not, I need to show my baby to everyone.

O says baba which means baby in Hungarian. She also shakes her head for no. Clevr girl. Shame that she doesn't even want to be on her tummy and practice some movements. Standing up? Nada, not my girl.

We had a weird night. Went down well but was up at 11 and very ten min afte that till 1 am. I think she thought it was daytime and sleep was enough. Not for me.

TheDetective · 20/07/2013 11:32

I totally get the picture and sharing thing chasing. I think anyone who is bringing up a child on their own feels similar. :( I missed it so much with DS1.

And yes, what a clever little boy! Grin He just needs to learn prickprickprickprick now when he sees daddy...

I am probably the only one in the world that is hoping that the royal baby is verrrrrry late Grin.

Sophiathesnowfairy · 20/07/2013 11:36

pr some work friends went to Southall for curry last night I couldn't go but they delivered me some nan bread on their way back! Grin they have red onion and coriander on. We don't know how they will be tonight but is worth a try.

GTbaby · 20/07/2013 11:40

Major grumpy lo here. Not even the sky remote is cheering him up. His fav of the remotes.

Although he did have a nap earlier. So at least I got one too Wink

Just puree a bunch of strawberries I got on offer. Think I will do some more to last the summer. Going to mk a chicken stew later today. N maybe carrot potatoes lentils (is this an ok combination) type thing tomorrow.
