Yay pp well done R Smile

MsJupiterJones · 16/07/2013 18:59

That is great PP! Fantastic news.

Madame I hope he is on the mend. That is what I was worrying about last night and the idea of it makes your heart stop. Thinking of you and LO x

ChasingDaisy · 16/07/2013 19:12

It is far too hot for rocking to sleep last night, I'm not sure if I'm dripping in sweat or it is my skin melting....Anyway, I decided to pop O in his cot and pray for a self settling miracle. Well would you believe it, he's only gone and done it Shock Who is this child and what has he done with Oscar?!

ChasingDaisy · 16/07/2013 19:13

tonight* Although it was hot last night too.

Lily311 · 16/07/2013 19:14

chasing don't look for the answers, just enjoy it! I still remember when I put O down for the first time and prayed for self settling...

I've been downloading my pictures and videos and backing them up on a hard drive. Fed up now. I take too many.

ChasingDaisy · 16/07/2013 19:15

Snap. But I can never delete any photos.

BigPigLittlePig · 16/07/2013 19:15

Excellent, I see O got Fs memo then chasing Wink

fruitpastilles · 16/07/2013 19:20

lily I transfer all of mine to an external hard drive once a month..... I have 7 folders so far, S, 1month old, S, 2months old etc, I'm so sad haha

Lily311 · 16/07/2013 19:27

fruit Yes, I do it every month as well but haven't done it at the beginning of the month and now catching up. I have folders: Jan 2013, Feb 2013, etc. Within folders I have days Grin. I'm sad. It takes so long because I have a camera, video camera and my phone too and seem to use all.

YellowWellies · 16/07/2013 19:35

The haggis / nun quiche meet (he he silly nouns are fab) was lovely. James is a pin up baby - sooooo beautiful and his backward crawling seemed to amuse him too. Jonas decided that Penelope's eyes are oh so pretty he wants them my precious, P was off exploring like a nimble wee pixie, James was power napping (clearly the quiche blether worked its magic or we bored him Shock ) and Tilly was practising her singing. V nice to put another RL face to an online pseudonym Stunt.

Izzy all I can suggest is to up his omeperazole to at least 2 mg / kg if not 3. His symptoms still sound refluxy - poor dude. And diet - he might even be reacting to traces so I guess avoid any food you're not sure of. Whilst he didn't have an allergic reaction to soy maybe he has an intolerance? Or have you eaten anything which might have trace dairy? Jonas reacted to dark chocolate the other day - fecking diet police - and it only warned 'made in a factory that handles milk' Sad Sad Sad Huge hugs to you love you're doing an amazing job. I'm sure once he's on the right dosage and his throat isn't sore he'll soon be nomming with the rest of the mob.

ChasingDaisy · 16/07/2013 19:47

Haggis meet sounds lovely. I must admit that although all of the quiche babies are gorgeous, I have always thought Stunt's J to be one of the best lookers. Really beautiful boy with gorgeous eyes Smile

Lily311 · 16/07/2013 19:56

It's amazing to 'know' all the babies-even without meeting them. I would love a meet up, we should organize one in October when I'm back. Am happy to travel within reasonable distance from London -will actually go to Leeds for one day as one of my friends is expecting a Nov baby and she won't come down to see us.

izzybizzybuzzybees · 16/07/2013 19:57

yw I think you're right about him needing his dose upped. I'm going to try call the nurses tomorrow and see how I get on, don't want to just up it myself! I did have some dark chocolate top yesterday who have I'd forgotten about, again said may contain milk due to contamination from production line or some such crap! I'm finding it so hard with elimination diet and feel trapped just now anyways as he won't tolerate neocate and refused bottles instead going hours without feeding!

Kirrin · 16/07/2013 20:09

Some bugger has indeed stolen my island Grin Don't worry, timmy is on the case....

VQ that sounds like agony - wishing you a speedy recovery Thanks

donna I agree cleaning the high chair is a pain in the ass, but for the floor I have an excellent canine cleaning team - can't recommend them enough Grin

Yay pidj :)

madame poor thing, and poor you. How is he doing?

The haggis/nun quiche meet sounded lovely. It would be great if we could all get together one day.

I just gave my two a bath and had one of those proper heart warming moments. N has just discovered kicking her legs in the water is fun. she and DD1 were both doing it, and laughing their heads off together. N has a really wicked laugh!

Passmethecrisps · 16/07/2013 20:24

Hola!

I agree chasing! I saw stunt come in and I was looking thinking "hmm, is that *stunt?" Then she turned the buggy to face me and I was all "oooo! J! Woohoo!"

P was all worn out from making eyes at everyone (particularly YW's J).

Came home and plonked her on the living room mat while I rushed off to make her bottle. Came back to find her engrossed in something. She was sitting right in the middle I a pile of pussy sick. Envy I had to check her face very carefully to make sure she hadn't eaten any. Yuck.

madam that post sent a chill up me. My goodness you must have been beside yourself. How is the wee one now?

kirrin bath splashage is awesome!

Elizadoesdolittle · 16/07/2013 20:26

izzy What an awful night. I really don't know how you are coping. Is there really no way you can't get a pead appt before Oct? I don't see how poor J, or you for that matter can continue like this.

madame Shit. Scary stuff. I hope S makes a swift recovery. I wouldn't worry about breaking down in tears. You may be a hard arsed lawyer but you're also human.

pr The start to your day sounds awful but I have to admit to having a giggle at your DD1 telling the cat to bugger off.

Love the pics on fb of the quiche meets. It's funny as I haven't met any of the babies but I recognise them instantly.

Well E's tube was out again this morning so I decided to leave it out and give her the day off. She coped really well and over the course of the day drank over 14ozs of milk from a cup. Which I realise dosen't sound like much but for her that's a great achievment. Unfortunatly she sicked up the last lot before bed. As she didn't have the tube I missed a dose of her medication Blush. By the time I remembered to syringe some into her it was too late. I think we need to tweak her reflux meds but have a appt with the gastro specialist tomorrow so has come at a good time really. kyz I have an appt with the dietician next week so will know more then about when the tube can go. I have a feeling it won't be for a while yet but we'll see.

Had a loevly day. Took DD1 to see we are going on a bear hunt at the theatre. Was great, very well put together production and DD1 absolutly loved it. E was in their words "an angel" for the pil which is a relief. It means I can leave her without her crying all the time. Such a relief.

ChasingDaisy · 16/07/2013 20:32

pass Grin and Envy at pussy sick.

Madame how bloody scary for you. How are you both doing now?

Lily I would love to meet up with you in Oct. MK isn't too far from London so I reckon we could sort something out Smile

And yes, I am definitely up for a whole quiche meet in November. I know it will be a logistical nightmare but I would love us to at least try.

Donnadoon · 16/07/2013 20:43

Kirrin that's another thing, I have a great big black Labrador ...and he is a snob !! I do not know of another dog that will not eat scraps off the floor...occasionally he will take a piece of ham or cheese that she has dropped, but nowt else...it's ridiculous Grin

Passmethecrisps · 16/07/2013 20:50

Where is JJ?? The thread about crying at sad children's books! She said what I was doing! Hahahahah

YellowWellies · 16/07/2013 20:52

Pass, JJ don't read The Mousehole Cat unless you want to weep through your nose and go all blotchy(!) Smile

VQ we missed you today - get well soon x

itsnotyouitsMeals · 16/07/2013 20:58

Such a scary day madam. So glad to hear he's mending now.

eliza must have been nice for you both not to have the tube for a day. FC it can come out soon.

izzy just hugs. I really hope you can get some improvement for both of you. No dairy works here though think she's at the mild end re 'in a factory that handles' etc.

pr what news?

vq hugs for you too. Get well sooooon.

chasing you sound more upbeat?

pass yuck!

donna lower your standards re high chair! A wet flannel every meal and some method lavender cleaner at the end of the day here. A mat from JoJo sorts the floor.

pig so pleased F is settling at nursery. What a relief!

Haggis/stunt and northern meets looked fun. Would be up for a Nov meet if you'll have a long time lurker/occasional poster. DD1 has five or six friends she's known since birth through nct but not DD2.

We have two teeth here and LO is trying to pull herself up. In other news, it's too hot, I am planning my return to work, have become a governor of the nursery/children's centre and luis is too good at wwf. I did beat him once .

Kyzordz · 16/07/2013 20:59

Evening all :) busy day today doing purées, I have managed 3. I did the spag Bol, chicken with apricots and chicken with apple on bplps suggestion :) I have also only made up 3 bottles for tomorrow, I suspect I will make a fourth in the morning as I will cave and convince myself I'm being an awful mother. You know what I'm like. He drank 1.5oz at tea time again, he hasn't drunk more than a couple of ounces for ages. I might make up a 4oz bottle so I don't feel so guilty! He eats lots at tea time and chose juice over his bottle so I guess he was thirsty and didn't really want any milk.

madame thinking of you all, hope s is home and well soon, bless him, big hugs

Woohoo pp that's brill :D

Also fantastic stuff from Oscar chasing amazing!!! Don't you love it when they surprise you!?! Fab stuff :)

Jealous of the haggis meet! Glad you all had fun though :) definitely would love to meet everyone, I too recognise the quiche babies when photos are put up, we've a right bunch of gorgeous little people I reckon :)

Aww the bath moment sounds lovely kirrin :)

Ewwww pass glad no puke got consumed. Ewwww

eliza she did really well with the cup then :) shame she was sick but 14oz is a fab amount for her to have taken :)

Eric's monthly photos tomorrow, he has a lovely little shirt and some navy shorts to wear :) the last lot I put a couple of on fb as I loved them so much, him in his dinosaur set. Will see how these ones go but there might be a bombardment tomorrow on the quiche page!

Passmethecrisps · 16/07/2013 21:01

Yes we did miss you VQ! There was a haggislet missing. Hope you feel better very soon.

Have you read the thread YW? That book gets a mention. As does peepo, the night you were born, goodbye mog and others.

Just reading people's descriptions made me blub.

Evilwater · 16/07/2013 21:10
