bry Blush am not a lovely wife, am the screaming banshee kind normally. I cope better than DH with sleep deprivation, and I don't want the DC and him to have a rubbish day because he's tired and cross.

izzy Brew for you.

fruitpastilles · 16/07/2013 06:38

Very strange mm maybe he thinks if he wakes her for a bottle she won't wake crying herself? Even though you know she doesn't anyway.

Bryzoan · 16/07/2013 06:44

Good luck fruit.

Madam you do not seem like a screaming banshee. Though I think it does no harm to be one sometimes. Dh would beg to differ.

Chasing, your beautiful boy is nothing like his shitbag of a dad. Be kind to yourselves today.

Bryzoan · 16/07/2013 06:45

Very strange mm

fruitpastilles · 16/07/2013 06:53

Thanks bryz

Passmethecrisps · 16/07/2013 06:59

Morning,

I think he is dreaming mm. I have done that. Not quite as far as actually getting a bottle but have certainly run to her room to discover a completely sleeping baby.

Aw izzy that sounds horrendous. I hope you are up for the meet today. You could get a train - I have a spare car seat.

No night wakings last night other than the usual couple of seconds for a dummy. Phew! Will still do the nap training but the urgency can be chilled out a bit.

Passmethecrisps · 16/07/2013 07:01

Nothing worse is there, fruit? You get there all on time and end up sitting there for ages. Hope the appointment goes well.

DH is having a lie in. P slept but he didn't. Think he is stressed. It's going to be a tough few weeks.

PetiteRaleuse · 16/07/2013 07:11

So far this morning:

  • DD1 got up 90 minutes earlier than usual.
  • DD1 slapped me across the face to wale me up, I think Hmm
  • LO headbutted me in the mouth
  • LO headbutted the edge of the table and huer herself
  • DD1 dropped a cup of juice
  • DD1 told the cat to 'bugger off' Blush
  • both girls screamed hysterically when DH left for work
  • the cat vomited pretty spectacularly

It's only just gone 8

It's already 23 degrees.

ChasingDaisy · 16/07/2013 07:28

And now he won't eat anything for breakfast other than sodding ricecakes.

I really just want to fucking disappear today. For a very long time.

ChasingDaisy · 16/07/2013 07:46

It's my fault isn't it? His eating and sleeping have gone to shit because he has picked up on how stressed I am.

Bryzoan · 16/07/2013 07:52

No chasing. Not your fault. He is just a baby. They do this stuff. Rice cakes for breakfast today is ok - really. Just rest today with him when you can. I know it doesn't feel like it but you are doing so well. You just have to get through this bit. It will get better. Xxxxxxxx

BigPigLittlePig · 16/07/2013 07:56

Quick dash onto quiche to say Chasing - not your fault. Babies are contrary little shits beings, and sometimes they just don't want to eat. F had hardly anything this morning and she normally scoffs a bowl of porridge.

Hi ho, hi ho, it's off to work we go Sad

PetiteRaleuse · 16/07/2013 07:58

Not your fault chasing don't panic. All babies have random bad days.

fruitpastilles · 16/07/2013 08:16

chasing of course it's not your fault, please don't think that xx

Passmethecrisps · 16/07/2013 08:17

Another one saying no need to fret chasing! P refused to eat anything at all this morning. Yesterday she would only eat spoonfuls between rice cakes.

PurplePidjin · 16/07/2013 08:30
Brew

We had a good night Blush up for barely 10 minutes at 1:15 and 4:45 Blush

Bryzoan · 16/07/2013 08:34

Not much brekkie here either. Just roast smeared against his head.

Chasing - remember how worried your Gp was for o before you left... You are doing an amazing thing for him, and for you. You should be proud of yourself. You are doing the very best thing possible for that little man. Really, try not to sweat the small stuff Smile

Bryzoan · 16/07/2013 08:35

Toast. Not roast. He's not eating it any way so I guess what it is is largely irrelevant!

ChasingDaisy · 16/07/2013 08:57

Good going Pidj, well done R. Especially in this weather Smile

Today is day 1 of Operation Nap. I fed him to sleep as normal for his morning nap and let him get into a deep sleep on me, before rolling him off me so he is laying next to me instead. He opened his eyes to look at me, before grabbing his muslin and rolling over like he does at night. Now to see how long he sleeps for.

ValiumQueen · 16/07/2013 09:05

Chasing I can guarantee there is absolutely nobody on this thread who would say it is your fault.

Bry I now have a pic of your LO with a bit of topside on their head.

Izzy that is reflux. That is how J is when his is bad. Next time get in the car and go to A&E and get some help. There must be something that can be done to help your little boy.

Madam and PR (((((hugs))))

ValiumQueen · 16/07/2013 09:22

MM I too think he is dreaming. He has a lot on his mind at the moment.

I am sorry but I will not be at the meet today. I feel awful despite having had a good night. My tongue, ear, jaw and neck are throbbing, and the top layer of my tongue has come off, like someone took a veg peeler to it. My tongue is bleeding and raw. On top of my fuzzy head and anxiety I feel coming out is just too much today. Sorry x

GTbaby · 16/07/2013 09:46

Men are so stupid. Im at hospital. Waiting room full of pregnant ladies. No seats. You would expect one of the 3 men to offer their seat!
NO. a pregnant women gets upShock shocking.
I have my crutches. You'd think these men have enough sense to think of others. But NO. Poor ladies whose partners they are.

PetiteRaleuse · 16/07/2013 09:50

GT assert yourself and ask for a seat Angry

vq that sounds horrible. And not like thrush at all. Does anything relieve the pain?

Lily311 · 16/07/2013 10:09

O is down for her second nap. She is extremely tired, is there a growth spurt at 8 months? She looked happy as soon as I put her in her cot.

ChasingDaisy · 16/07/2013 10:10

VQ that sounds really awful. Can you go back to the docs?
