How is everyone? xx

birdbrain21 · 05/04/2014 22:24

We're on the countdown to birthday now just over a week to go!! Can't believe I remember everything about the birth and pg so well feel like it just happened.
As well as waving and making haa noises in an attempt to say hi today she waved and made baa noises when my my dh went out and I said say bye to daddy. I feel so proud when she does things like that makes me realise she's growing into a real little person Smile
We're off to stay at my in-laws over the bank holidays next week really hoping she doesn't go all shy like last time we were there, it's just us this time non of my dh siblings are coming with their kids so think she should be okay she gets too interested when it's so many people and just sits and watches everything instead of playing....

What's news with everyone else?

Cannotbelieveit · 05/04/2014 22:41

Hi bird. Scary how quick it's all gone. Seems like yesterday I had H and we celebrated his birthday on Monday just gone! And now I'm getting ready for a newborn again! 37 weeks today!Grin

3DcAndMe · 06/04/2014 08:32

Well we had our birthday already

And it made me all sad. I don't feel like I want her to grow up! Probably because she might very well be our last ever baby at least our last for a good few years anyway!

We have four teeth now. She can say dada and hiya, the occasional mama and what sounds like yes! Pulling to standing and will take a few steps holding hands.

Any babies fulling walking by now?

Our older two both walked by now!

I don't mind though, she's my lazy lump

birdbrain21 · 06/04/2014 09:34

3DCandme we also have lots more saying dada then mama but when she gets upset she looks to me first so I'm not too offended Wink
Still only two teeth and no way near walking yet not even pulling herself to stand properly very often although I have seen her do it so guess she's also lazy!

How much milk do your lo's have now? At the moment dd is having a bf after breakfast and before bed but want to move on to normal milk now she's old enough but don't know how much to put in her bottle...

Cannot is everything ready for your new arrival?

Oh no she's just figured out how to open the drawers on the sidebord better stop mumsnetting and go distract her with something else Smile

3DcAndMe · 06/04/2014 09:36

Dd has 8oz cows milk morning and before bed

She also sometimes has about 6 in the afternoon

And she has just crawled over to the sofa, pulled herself up, and bit my toe!

Cannotbelieveit · 06/04/2014 09:41

Yeah everything ready so he can come ASAP!!!

Hunter has 8oz cows milk in a sippy on waking and before bed, otherwise everything else is solids.

He can commando crawl backwards, roll like lightning and is pushing himself onto hands and knees and rocking so probably crawling is very close! Pull to standing no where near, however he babbles and makes so many different sounds so we think he will talk soon and walk later!!

Cannotbelieveit · 06/04/2014 09:43

We have mama, dada, nana, gaga, ca (when looking for the cats), baba, tuh and lala. Very impressed with the L sounds as I can see him moving his tongue and practicing!!

3DcAndMe · 06/04/2014 09:45

I had been really concerned At dds lack of weight bearing when she was younger

You could hold her up and she would not even put her feet on the floor but curl them up towards her body and cry!

Yet a couple of months later she is loving finding things to pull herself up on!

I think my older dc having been so fast at physical skills made me worry more! They crawled at 6/7 months whereas she was about 10 months!

birdbrain21 · 06/04/2014 09:58

dd is crawling round the place but I also think her social skills like talking etc are developing quicker then her physical.
Thats so funny about her biting your toe. When I'm sitting on the sofa dd is also obsessed with coming to play with my toes never bitten one yet Smile
What hospital you going to this time cannot?Same as with your ds?

3DcAndMe · 06/04/2014 10:00

She's never bitten me before!

How many sleeps and how long a sleep are all the babies having now?

birdbrain21 · 06/04/2014 12:03

i find if I put her down to sleep in the morning she doesn't sleep in the afternoon but is still really tired and grumpy so I normally try to keep her up all morning and then after lunch I change her nappy and settle her down for a sleep which normally lasts about 2 hours depending on how much she's tired herself out that morning
How long is your dd sleeping for now? Also are you at home with her or at work I find from friends who are back at work their lo's seem to have very set sleep times from the chilminders/nursery

3DcAndMe · 06/04/2014 13:17

I am working

At home I can keep her going off one sleep after lunch for about 2 hours

But on a work day she comes home in a car and if she's only had one sleep she sleeps in the car and then won't go to bed!

So two sleeps is still working best for us

About 10-11

And 2.30-330

This stops her sleeping at 530 in the car!

Cannotbelieveit · 06/04/2014 14:17

Yeah same hospital Warwick.

Hunter has pretty much got himself into one nap (varies between morning and afternoon depending on what we've been doing) and it's usually between 30-90 mins on average. He then goes to bed after milk so just after 7pm and sleeps til between 7-8am x

3DcAndMe · 11/04/2014 09:09

Poor dd is either getting a tooth I cannot see or coming down with a bug poor thing!

Next jabs in two weeks makes me see how fast a year has really gone!

birdbrain21 · 11/04/2014 09:32

I think dd is also getting another tooth at the moment, she was teething from about 4 months but only got her first tooth at 10.5 months followed very quickly by the second one and now she's been really grumpy again and keeps on pulling at her top gum so think she must be getting a tooth there, it's harder to tell on the top.
Having thought she was ready to drop her morning nap she's actually had one the last few days, think it depends what time she gets up in the morning whether she has one or two naps.

3DcAndMe · 11/04/2014 09:51

Dd last few days hadn't been having a morning nap but she was up in the night and was so grumpy I had to put her down. She's had calpol too so will hopefully have a nice long sleep and feel better when she wakes up. She already had the front two teeth at top and bottom. Top ones seemed to cauSe her more pain and looked more painful too

Cannotbelieveit · 16/04/2014 09:48

Hunter is down to 1 nap a day. Depends on what we are doing that day as to whether it's morning 10.30ish for an hour or so, or after lunch.

He was absolutely fine after his jabs last Monday (7th April) but now has more teeth coming thru I think!Confused

38+4 today and no sign of DS2 yet!!!

3DcAndMe · 16/04/2014 10:02

Gosh how exciting

I can't imagine being pregnant now

Although my elder two dc are only 16 months apart so I have had a baby and been pregnant before, of course I didn't have Spider-Man and Batman to contend with back then as well

Cannotbelieveit · 16/04/2014 10:37

There's been more aches and pains this time (due to lugging round H who was 25lb13oz last time he was weighed!) but otherwise I can't complain!!

It will be a few years at least til we ttc and I'm gonna miss having a bump so much!!

3DcAndMe · 16/04/2014 12:48

During my second pregnancy when I had ds1 already who was still obviously in a pram due to his age, we lived on a massive hill. And I got spd. I was at times housebound. Not fun

Cannotbelieveit · 23/04/2014 08:26

39+4! Come on baby! Another pregnancy on the April 13 group too, so that takes us to 4! Grin

birdbrain21 · 24/04/2014 09:26

Hi, been away for a while and just didn't have time to check mumsnet was too busy chasing dd around my in-laws and making sure she didn't break anything Wink.
We celebrated her first birthday while we were there can't believe it. When she was born we knew it was going to be a busy year new job for DH, moving house and me trying to set up my own business so we said we would wait till she was two before ttc, can't believe it's only a year now sometimes I wish we would try now but I know I would struggle to cope at the moment with being pg or having a new baby.
Had a message on the phone when we got back to call up the doctor about dd I'm guessing that it's to make an appointment for her next lot of jabs hope DH can get the time off work I'd be very nervous to take her myself! The HV is coming in a couple of weeks for her one year review any specific questions I should think of asking her?

Cannotbelieveit · 24/04/2014 09:32

The jabs for us were fine, he cried for 30 seconds after having them and then was absolutely fine, no side effects at all.

The review is done between 9-10 months here, but you can google the questionnaire and see what they ask for 12 months. It was given to us before hand and we had to fill it in before the actual appt.

Busymumto3dc · 29/04/2014 05:33

Another name change here

Previously mumof3xx / 3dcandme

Dd had her jabs last week, she had been grumpy anyway due to teeth and still is but I don't know if it's still teeth or from the jabs or both! She's not too bad anyway tbh

Can't help feel a bit jealous of those having another baby! Part of me get so broody but then I am so busy it brings me back to earth!
