Definite bum shuffling now! So funny to watch! Grin

Mumof3xx · 26/01/2014 19:32

Are any other babies refusing the bear weight on their legs?

Going to see gp this week

birdbrain21 · 27/01/2014 09:14

ddisn't quite bum shuffling or crawling she's usin a combination of the two, but only when she thinks no one is looking if she see's me watching her she just put her arms out to be picked up which is adorable but I forsee a very spoilt baby Wink
mum she keeps on pulling on my clothes to try to get up but then can't seem to put her feet flat on the floor to stand she wobble on her tip toes and sits back down. I don't need to go to the hv for a few weeks but not too worried yet she's already been late with other milestones like sitting, not sure if she's just lazy or slowSmile!each in their own time but if your worried good idea to get your lo checked

Mumof3xx · 29/01/2014 07:48

Bird if you hold her infront of you under the arms at floor level will she put her feet down? Dd won't

She did a couple of tiny crawling "steps" yesterday

Was going to get her checked out this week be she has yet another bug

birdbrain21 · 29/01/2014 10:47

Mum she tries to put her feet down but normally only gets one foot flat and the other she goes on the tip of her toes, I don't want to encourage her to stand until puts both feet flat as I don't want her to get bad habits. If she keeps on not putting her feet down I'll mention it to the health visitor just to check her feet are okay. My DH has a funny habit of not puuting his feet down properly when he walks so could be something to do with that....

Mumof3xx · 29/01/2014 18:55

Dd won't put hers down at all. As soon as she clicks that's what your doing with her she curls them up and sometimes becomes upset

Jo1984uk · 29/01/2014 19:19

Dd has only just started putting weight on her legs at nearly 10 months.. I have mentioned it to the health visitors a few times, they keep telling me not to worry and to wait until one year check. It is so easy to worry though isn't it!

S is nearly crawling and has just cut her 8th tooth Smile

birdbrain21 · 01/02/2014 22:17

jo 8th tooth wow!! D has been teething since about 4.5 months and her gums are really hard but we are yet to actually get a tooth! My family all think I'm making it up when they ask if she has a tooth and I say not yet but I asked the health visitor and apparantly some babies do teeth for months without actually getting any teeth! Are you still bf I'm a bit nervous about carrying on once she has teeth as she already bited me with just her gums sometimes

GimmeDaBoobehz · 02/02/2014 19:28

Oooh wow 8 teeth.

H is trying to stand herself up on her feet when she's in the cot. She drags herself up and is on her knees in mid air, but not quite standing yet. But she will hold herself in place for a few seconds if you stand her up.

No crawling yet, perhaps she wont crawl and will just stand. She loves rolling all over the place though.

She went on a nursing strike that lasted 11 days that only ended early hours of yesterday morning.

She's cutting her 2 top teeth so it's not nice to see her so upset as she's pretty upset now. :(

Cannotbelieveit · 03/02/2014 08:32

With you on the teething for months and still no teeth!

Mumof3xx · 04/02/2014 19:54

Two teeth so far here but top ones look like they are ready to come down

Crawling a fair bit now too!

Mumof3xx · 06/02/2014 17:49

Hv says not to worry over weight baring until over 12 months

Phew

birdbrain21 · 07/02/2014 14:31

that's good mum, although when I looked at the calander the other day I got a bit of a shock to realise that 12 months is not in such a long time dd is 10 months now can't believe how quickly time flies!
She's just mastered crawling and is very proud of herself and managing to cause mischief I thought I had babyproofed the place but she thinks otherwise Grin

Mumof3xx · 08/02/2014 06:08

Dd will also be one in less than two months

How fast did it go!

Both of my older dc walked around 12 months, one just before birthday and one just after but I doubt dd will as as I've said she still refuses to stand

She has well and turkey mastered crawling though and she is everywhere!

Has anyone thought of birthday presents yet?

Jo1984uk · 09/02/2014 11:23

birdbrain yes I am still bf, to be honest she has only bitten me a couple of times, after I said 'no biting' and took her off. She has not done it since luckily. She is still milk mad, she has about 5 feeds a night still. Hoping she will start to drop some feeds soon!

I can't believe it's time to think about birthday presents already! I'm thinking either wooden dolls pram or wooden play kitchen with some little utensils and steel pots. But she already has quite a few push along toys so I might go with the kitchen idea. At her she she will enjoy opening cupboards and putting stuff in/ taking it out. It's also something that she will get quite a few years of use from.

Her grandparents might be getting her a fish tank, I think she would love to watch them swim around. As long as they don't need too much looking after!

S is still going through quite a clingy stage, she loves company all the time. I think she needs a sibling Smile not just yet though, need to sort out the night time wakings first! I can just imagine having two next to me wanting milk all night long!

Mumof3xx · 09/02/2014 12:28

5 waking a night must be tough!

Cannotbelieveit · 10/02/2014 15:48

H will be 1 on march 31st! Cannot believe how quick its gone!

I feel like I will appreciate the early days with DS2 more when he arrives Grin

Mumof3xx · 15/02/2014 07:27

I have deffently appreciated dd more as a baby

Everything seems to have been so rushed with my older dc!

Dd had finally started attempting to bare some weight on her legs

She can pull to her knees and stay there now and with some help stand on her feet well toes briefly

I do think her lower legs are not very strong ATM though

birdbrain21 · 15/02/2014 22:23

I'm sure she'll get there soon mum.

dd has really perfected her crawling now and scoots round the place quicker then I can keep an eye on her. It's the funniest when she see's me coming after her she collapses down into giggles and then tries to go quicker so I can't stop her doing what she was planning (usually some sort of mischief) but is normally laughing too much to crawl Grin

cannot hasn't time flown when are you due, must be nearly third trimester by now. I'm sure when you have your lo it's going to make everyone else very broody! Has anyone else on facebook announced expecting another one yet, I would have thought by now a few people must be but I'm not on facebook so feel our april group has dwindled from over 100 to a handful!Wink

We're off to my in-laws for a few days tomorrow sure it's going to be lots of fun chasing her round a big house instead of our little flat but I'm looking forward to 'showing off' all her new achievments to the family and I'm sure I can see a little line on her gum where after 6 months of teething a tooth may finally be breaking through so quite excited about that she's been a right grump for a couple of weeks!!

Mumof3xx · 16/02/2014 18:05

I also expected more April mummies to have announced another pregnancy by now! But I am also not on FB so out of the loop
Sad how the group have mainly wandered off from here now!

Cannotbelieveit · 17/02/2014 19:58

Mum and bird. There are 3 of is expecting now! One due in August, and one in October.

I'm due April 26th I'm 30+2 today. So excited! Just need a couple more things and we are done with shopping Grin

Hunter has a little line on the bottom gum, I expect the tooth should properly break thru this week!!! 1st tooth at just under 11 months!!

The rolling is more frequent and we still have a bum shuffler rather than a crawler!

He's making so many more sounds now so think he will be talking well before walking! I know me and DH did the same

I try to keep up on here as well as fb, sorry there's only a few of us now Sad

Mumof3xx · 17/02/2014 20:13

Ah we are well out of the loop!

Mumof3xx · 23/02/2014 15:24

Hum

I'm now getting the feeling I should poas myself ..... but too scared of the results

Another small age gap would not be good in this house

Cannotbelieveit · 23/02/2014 21:22

Mum really? Do it and let us know! Wink

Mumof3xx · 24/02/2014 05:35

I am going to buy a stick today hopefully!

As lovely as a newborn would be a pregnancy is not ideal ATM and we have not been ttc so part of me is hopeful that it's just my mind playing tricks although I also think I'll be disappointed if it's a bfn
