Had huge row with dh last night! Decided he could bloody well help me last night when she woke at 11:30 as I was not going to feed her when she's not had a feed at that time for months now any way cue the next torturous hour he then moans that he has to get up to work at 6 ( as do I with dd1) when I point that out and the fact he's had a month of un interrupted sleep he told me but he's got work where he has to drive around for hours and be on the ball! I pointed out that perhaps it was important for me to be on the ball aswell given that I drive around his children and the fact that you need your wits about you looking after a toddler aswell and that I'd not had a full nights sleep in 3 months! He then said 2 months as he'd helped when he was off ! Yes he'd done one of the 2 feeds she had in the night and he always bloody woke me during his ranting and puffing anyway! Honestly there's nights he's had 10+ hours sleep where I'm having on average 5, he really is an ungrateful bastard!
When I've said I was up for 2 hrs with her I he just goes oh and pulls a sympathetic face, don't think it occurred to him how hard it was until I have him a taste last night

peardrop2 · 26/07/2013 09:56

Kitty!!!! Are you sure we're not sharing DH's??? I swear that was my night last night minus the toddler. Weird Shock

kittykatsforever · 26/07/2013 10:06

Pear it's so frustrating isn't it, they really have no idea, I tell you I'd take work and a full night sleep over my days at the min! ( obviously I don't really want to leave them but you know what I mean, it's not the easy option by any means!)
Just trying to decide whether to let it go now or keep up with the anger, I'm not sure I ve got the energy Hmm
Also Hmm that don't know why kittens taken a step back, she's been doing so well on the sleep getting later and later just one in the night and now we've got bottle issues and she's waking up 4 hrs earlier then she has been, back to wanting 2 feeds.... I know I'm probably expecting to much but it's like I'm missing something, waking at 11:30 when you only went to sleep an hour earlier though really is like ripping you out of a coma

kittykatsforever · 26/07/2013 19:17

Have I killed the threadHmm

peardrop2 · 26/07/2013 19:53

Hah hah kitty Smile I'm just really really tired today after last nights fiasco!

FrussoHathor · 26/07/2013 20:10

Nah kitty my house is manic. Thinking I'm going to look into holiday childcare. Poor ds gets clingy and stressy every time I get stressy, which seems to be permanently.

peardrop2 · 26/07/2013 20:20

Help!! How do you do any type of housework when your baby won't be left to his own devices for two minutes? He's not a fan of slings sadly. Pretty annoying considering I brought two Sad

FrussoHathor · 26/07/2013 20:33

With great difficulty and much whinging from ds.
Also assisted by plonking on; play mat/ bouncy chair/ bean bag/ sofa/ car seat/ cot/ towel on floor. [delete as appropriate]

kittykatsforever · 26/07/2013 20:44

I'm in bed! Need to try and recoup some sleep aswel pear, I just plonk dd like frus says, no she's not a fan but sometimes needs must although cant say mines been for house work of late, I do try to wait until dh in on hand for that! She quite likes those teddys and stim toys that wrap around car seats etc allready though and will grab them with her hands
Yesterday she slept loads but I had dd1 so couldn't sleep but life was easier I guess, today when dd1 was in nursery she's been wired all day, only around 2,1hr naps so no sleep again, typical Hmm

AGnu · 26/07/2013 21:14

I think DS2 has a lip-tie. From the little info I've found it does sound like it could be the cause of my bruising/vasospasms. He certainly doesn't curl his front lip out/up the way DS1 did. Should I summon a LLL person to take a look & check for tongue ties etc or might one of my local breastfeeding support groups be able to help? Don't want to waste time touring all the groups if a LLL person is most likely to be able to help!

AGnu · 26/07/2013 21:26

I've had DH home all day. "Hopefully you'll be able to get a bit more done while I'm around" because I don't do enough already?! He spent the entire afternoon in the garden putting a net over the blackberries. Very useful but... I had a loooong list of things that I wanted to do & I was kinda hoping that he'd hold the baby while I got them done! Poor DS2 had to cry in the pram for a few minutes & I was less productive because I was distracted by his crying!

2 more days until he goes back to work...! Wink

bringonthetrumpets · 26/07/2013 21:58

Best to consult with a lactation specialist as lip ties are harder to spot since they tend to be a bit more rare.

M also gets plonked on the baby gym mat, couch, blanket on the floor, swing, my bed, etc. She handles it pretty well.

Urgh, I hate when DH thinks I want him home so I can do more work. No, just come home so I can do less work, thankyouverymuch.

Took the boys to a playdate with some other birth-worker mamas that I know. Two of the other mums have two boys each that are the same ages as mine so it looked like a pack of feral, lost boys running around the playground! My two are absolutely exhausted (which is great b/c they'll go to bed early tonight!) and I'm soooooper tired b/c M was up a few times last night (despite having been sleeping on her belly).

Random q: how many of you have resumed ahem you know? Dh is all keen since it'll be 6 weeks next week and I'm sooooooo "No, really, no thanks, not interested, not all, not for like a year if that's ok." Hmm

AGnu · 26/07/2013 22:35

Only a year bring? I was thinking 2 or 3 minimum... Wink I made some joke about it the other day & DH commented that he'd assumed it wasn't even up for discussion while we were cosleeping with DS2... I think I may have neglected to mention my plan to cosleep with DS2 indefinitely & add DS1 in too if he shows any sign of wanting to join us! Grin

FrussoHathor · 26/07/2013 22:39

I wish something would wear dd2 out bring she started the day at about 6am and ended it 14hour later she'd still be going if it wasn't for meds dd1 tried to keep up with her today and got up early too. Big mistake as tears and strops all day.

In answer to your q bring um, ahem not likely. not helped by co-sleeping, being knackered, and to be quite honest I cba to do much in this heat let alone ahem. And it is what got us unto this mess Wink

FrussoHathor · 26/07/2013 22:42

Um I'm sure I read somewhere that co-sleeping until at least 5 was recommended.

bringonthetrumpets · 26/07/2013 23:53

I'm slowly backing myself into a corner to commence the rocking and talking to myself. Dh decided to stay nice and late for golf with friends and these two won't shut up and stop beating each other up. I'm leaving them w/dh the minute he walks in the house. Have fun! Mwahahahahah. Parenting paybacks are a bitch, suckaaa!

kittykatsforever · 27/07/2013 03:48

Oh these dh's!!! Agnu mine is the same hell start mowing the lawn, washing the car... And yes under normal circumstances I'd love all these things but at the moment I'd rather the carpet be hovered then the car! He was never so helpful when we didn't have two babies skeptical
Bring- dam right go missing
Well I'm up, dd isn't, I was so tired and the last two nights shed been awake between 12 and 2 so I thought sod it, I'm not expressing before bed and I just want an easy life tonight, if she wakes at 12 ill feed her, no she hasn't woken and I'm leaking Hmm

I'm not co sleeping but not co sleeping with dh either Wink we've not done it yet I'm abit embarrassed to say since before pregnancy, we had started to resume activity after dd1 by now as male doctor guilted me into it at 6wk check although I didn't in first pregnancy either, it really makes me feel totally asexual but really should be making an effort now I think, dd1 actually sparked us off closer and doing it more often then we had for years but not this time lol maybe if I wasn't so tired!! If your reading dh

bringonthetrumpets · 27/07/2013 03:49

Well, dh's current state of snoring his head off on the living room couch as I try to enjoy a movie has definitely just set him back another 6 weeks of getting any. Hmm

peardrop2 · 27/07/2013 06:57

Kitty ~ have you tried NUK latex bottles? A friend recommended them to me the other day. I was wondering whether latex might be more realistic then silicone? I might buy one from Amazon. This bottle/dummy buying is an expensive hobby!!

kittykatsforever · 27/07/2013 07:16

I've not pear no, tried dr browns, avent and tommy tippee, the tippee have had the best reaction, I may give one a try but I think it's just she likes bf, she has taken them the last few nights( after abit of protest) but she's so tired she rarely has much, and we took her up for her bath etc at 5:50 last night as she was so tired! She was asleep by 7 and didn't wake till 5! 10 min feed and straight back to sleep. Shes so close to sleeping through but i think she needs more milk at 7to do it? she had 1 and a half oz but it wasnt the refusing she was just flat out, don't know how to get her to take more, ive already added loads more holes to the teat as hardly any seemed to come out lol
Dd1 has woken at 5:30 though Hmm she is currently rambling constantly in my ear saying where's kitty gone and I want a lolly ( I did have to laugh at that one, I was pretending to be asleep!)

FrussoHathor · 27/07/2013 07:52

agnu have put a pic of ds lip tie on our fb group for you.

What about these kitty

FrussoHathor · 27/07/2013 08:20

Looks like I killed the thread. Blush

My DH washes his car, or makes dinner for him and leaves a ton of washing up. or takes the basket of clean washing up stairs and just leaves it. Aahhh I can carry the basket up myself in 2 seconds, putting it away would help more.

peardrop2 · 27/07/2013 08:23

Frus ~ that is hilarious. I wonder if they work! I'll try anything!

Kitty ~ I'm shocked you give your Dd lollies for breakfast! Secrets out now Wink

Urgh I've just been mega puked on after ignoring winding signs whilst catching up on thread Hmm

FrussoHathor · 27/07/2013 08:56

peardrop2 · 27/07/2013 09:16

Do you use bottles Frus? I'm going to get the one you suggested and then the NUK latex one. I'm not looking forward to expressing again after last weeks gorgement (yes that's a word...just like you make up words Wink)
