I'm to the point of banging my head against a wall (repeatedly) b/c really, that's what I feel like today has been. I've got #1 constantly talking to me in one ear, #2 making a million different fucking animal noises, and #3 wanting to cluster constant feed. I retract my statement of wanting another child. Hell-to-the-no. Oh and dh is working late and I'm awaiting a severe weather warning so trying to decide on whether to keep them awake incase we have to head in the basement and seek shelter or it'll miss us. Someone stop this messed up parenting ride, I want off.

FrussoHathor · 07/08/2013 01:49

I ache. My right boob hurts, I think I've pulled a muscle behind it, as no blocked duct or mastitis signs or nipple pain. But ouch it hurts.
I have a horrible headache, which seems in part due to caffeine and part due to the fact that I'm pretty certain um running a fever. And have just woken up dripping despite having the fan on.
Both me and ds have a tiggley cough,

And I'm sure ds is booked in for his jabs this week. Just have nothing written down.

agnu cake in a cup? Is it gooey?

peardrop2 · 07/08/2013 06:51

I can't keep up with this thread Hmm I'm too zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

AGnu · 07/08/2013 07:45

Oh dear. I prescribe cake-in-a-cup for everyone! Frus the one I made was overcooked & dry like a muffin type consistency but I did see a recipe for a gooey one - that's next on my list to try!

FrussoHathor · 07/08/2013 08:11

Mmm kitty
Ds is talking to his toys. Grin I don't know why I have done this before when he grumbles at me to get up. He's now shouting at them because they're not looking at him.

AGnu · 07/08/2013 08:24

Here we go... Cake-in-a-cup for everyone - Brew Brew Brew

kittykatsforever · 07/08/2013 08:42

Frus I think that is the car seat we have or looks the same, the reason I don't know is we havnt bought them, it's my sisters that we've borowed, I have taken the newborn insert out last week as it just seemed to put her in an awkward position but she's just gona have to suck it up, she's not getting a new one she's too big, she'll probably have outgrown it in a few months!
Agnu I cannot believe you have given us a recipie for a cake you can make in 5 minutes, dam you!!!!
Bring, did you get the weather warning?

kittykatsforever · 07/08/2013 08:44

Frus wernt your jabs the same day as mine first time? Our next our due 16th, still addressed to f"@*ing Megan!!

FrussoHathor · 07/08/2013 09:42

Mine are tomorrow. (Exactly 4 weeks) Phoned up sounding like a blabbing loony and asked. At my drs the 2nd set is booked at the 1st set.

Who the fuck is Megan?

FrussoHathor · 07/08/2013 09:49

I don't have any cocoa

Librarina · 07/08/2013 10:22

Bloody hell, I've not written anything for so long that this has fell off my 'Threads I'm On'

I'm very close to giving up feeding off my right boob and just being a left-boobed mama. It's gone white again, from nipple trauma attempting to feed her lying down...yet another days pumping for me! Luckily back to the osteopath tomorrow which really helped w the clamping until now.

I will only have this one baby. She's amazing but it's just too hard.

bringonthetrumpets · 07/08/2013 15:06

Yep, we got severe weather, but thankfully no tornados so I didn't have to haul everyone into the shelter (good lord, this sounds ridiculous just as I type it).... loved hearing the pounding rain because it totally sounded the way that I was feeling. Very therapeutic. A tornado on the other thand, would have just been the icing on the cake after the kind of day we had.

We've missed you Lib! I'm sorry about your poor boobies. Those damn blebs! I hope the apt for little lady helps with her latch and you can go back to being a two-boobed mama again.

I've kind of turned into the neglecting mum Blush Never scheduled M's jabs and she's 8 weeks next week. Ooooops. She'll just to have a delayed schedule then I guess.

Lorelei353 · 07/08/2013 15:56

I'm such an idiot. I'm hiding with ds in the bedroom because a wasp flew into the living room so I grabbed him and team away. I actually think it's gone as I the a muslin over the yoghurt pot it was after and opened the balcony doors but it escaped the muslin and was flying around the doors. I couldn't see it anymore but I'm too scared to go back in.

Childbirth I can see deal with but a wasp terrifies the bejaysus out of me. Sad

AGnu · 07/08/2013 17:30

Frus hot chocolate powder & a little less sugar.

Lib & cake-in-a-cup Brew. Everything's better after cake-in-a-cup!

bring DS2 was 7 weeks when I booked his jabs! Only because the HV told me the GPs would send a letter about the 6 week check & when we finally got a letter it was for his jabs but we assumed they just did 1 appt at 8 weeks. Ended up with the 6 week check a week late & weren't allowed to book the jabs until after that! I really must change GPs now that Dr Dishy isn't there anymore. The rest of them are useless!

Lor I run out of the room if I hear any buzzing just incase it's a wasp/bee! Blush

Lorelei353 · 07/08/2013 19:25

Mmm cake in a cup. Wasp crisis over.

FrussoHathor · 07/08/2013 21:19

lor we don't get wasps where I live. No idea why, just never seen one locally. They do in the next town. So maybe its to do with the environment. Either way they freak me out to. Wasps and daddy-long-legses.

agnu no chocolate power at all. Massive industrial bag of chocolate chips, but no power. Maybe I'll just fill the mug with chocolate chips.
I want a dishy doctor

I went to the cinema! Shock (haven't been since december) ds had 3oz of expressed milk in my absence. He doesn't like expressed breast milk. Which I'm seeing as a bonus at the moment as I went in a c/d cup and came out an e cup. Which ds is currently emptying with great relish.

AGnu · 07/08/2013 21:46

Ummm.... Ok.... Try heating the milk first, stirring in some chocolate chips & leave to cool while you combine egg & flour. Add chocolate-milk to egg-flour & microwave. Might work & is likely to be gooey! Grin

What did you see in the cinema? Envy

Also very Envy of your lack of wasps! I've not seen many so far this year though. Had an awful year the year before last. At one point there must've been at least half a dozen in our not-very-big garden while I was trying to harvest potatoes!

FrussoHathor · 07/08/2013 21:51

Alan Partridge. So funny. We used to watch A.P. at school, not literally, Saw about 10 people DH went to school with. And not helped by DH throwing an peanut m&m at one guys head. Blush

FrussoHathor · 07/08/2013 21:52

I found oat milk in the supermarket today. Got to be healthier than oaty biscuits.

AGnu · 08/08/2013 00:35

Oat milk? Where did you find it? Any idea if it works like oats are meant to for milk supply? I keep meaning to make flapjack because it's the only way I can stand to eat oats. I tried some ready brek the other day before remembering that it's vile & stodgy & just totally yucky. No amount of sugar could make it palatable! DS1 loves it though. Weirdo.

What else can help milk supply? I need all the help I can get right now! Sad I can't have fenugreek while donating to the milk bank so I'd like to avoid becoming reliant on it if there's still a possibility of donating. I'm drinking at least 1-2 cups of fennel tea a day. No idea if it's helping but it's v yummy! Grin

Sleeping enough would probably help! DH is going through a low phase again but my eczema is bad which leaves him doing the washing up & me feeling guilty that he's doing everything & I don't like to leave him downstairs by himself because he'd end up sitting down for a minute & getting distracted & then get to bed even later & complain about being even more exhausted!

bringonthetrumpets · 08/08/2013 02:16

M is currently taking her first bottle of expressed milk with Dh. She's not quite sure what to do with it....but she's not completely rejecting it. (Dh is totally tickled and is loving feeding her. It's so cute!)We've got to get her trained so we can go out for my birthday at the end of the month!

Red raspberry leaf, fennel, milk thistle, hops, goat's rue, and nettles were all ones that I know of. THIS website has some other ideas.

Fun, fun at the movies! Glad you got to get out for a bit today frus.

Today wasn't quite so severely horrible as yesterday was. Dh also came home and made some dinner for us (I think he could tell I was wilting a bit in this whole 24/7 SAHM deal).

Ew. Wasps are horrible Lor Glad the horrible thing left you alone!

FrussoHathor · 08/08/2013 08:16

agnu in tescos with the soya and rice milk. I was actually looking for coconut milk (that's in brings article too) but I was after it for thirst quenching properties rather than milk supply.

But I saw "Oatly" oat drink. Just tried some. Not as sweet as rice milk, and not as boak as soya milk. Odd tasting, like.. I don't know.. Water that's had oats soaking in it, but oaty not watery. It's organic and low fat and no added sugar.

I'm presuming it has the same effect at straight oats. Worth a try, and my DH won't drink it he keeps eating my oat bars Angry which 1) drives me nuts, and 2) makes him put on weight. as he detests milk.

FrussoHathor · 08/08/2013 12:25

Oh my, I have a chilled little boy, he didn't even flinch at his first jab, but the second stung a bit and he cried for a tiny bit, but he had a look on his face that seemed to say you're not spoiling my good mood. He was grinning and chatting before we left.

Lorelei353 · 08/08/2013 13:43

Jabs done today too. He was howling looking for food before the jabs, and then screamed when he had them and then just went to sleep. He's mostly slept since. He woke to feed, and had a long, slow feed t about 11.30 but has been asleep since midday again. I gather this is normal enough but feels weird. Sad

FrussoHathor · 08/08/2013 14:18

Normal. Frus Jr has had 2 feeds since he had them and slept. I have just leaked through my breastpads, bra and double layer top in 45minutes.
Can probably say that either the coconut or oak milk substitute works on supply.
