Hi, almost three years ago (crazily) I was in the April 2011 ante natal group, I spotted you ladies yesterday in active threads and made a mental note to pop my head around the door. Hope that's ok? I recognise a few names, mostly Kitty, you and I were the last of the April babies I think? Tom arrived May 8th. Anyway, hi again!

Wow 64 times Jolly!!? and I thought we had issues!! R's latest phrase is "I can't want the step" and getting off and walking away. We had quite a few returns last night after she threw her dinner on the floor and refused to say sorry but it was definitely much less than 64! I'm losing the will to live some days because she's so bloody stubborn so will definitely just try a bit of disengaging from now on!

Nursery is also getting to be a bit of a headache, 2 weeks ago she was put into time out 7 times over lunch because she refused to behave. Then when she did finally sit down to eat (after everyone else had finished) she threw her food at one of the assistants and told her to "shut up" - WTF!?!!?
Last week she came home with 3 scratches on her face as she had been fighting with another child Shock apparently he looked worse than her?! I just do not know where to go from here. I know a lot of her behaviour is anxiety over the new baby coming but it's so tiring when, apart from nursery, the most part of it is directed at me. For DP she is an angel and he has no idea what I'm on about when he comes home from work and I'm practically in tears from arguing with her!

Firefly Can't believe your baby's going to be here so soon! Shame about the cafe closing down though :(

Jolly I always wondered what it was that happened during your labour as you never told us here before and i knew you wouldn't say on the August thread either but now I know!!

Fizz, Kitty and Ali Glad your meet up went well. The pictures on fb were really good, it's so weird seeing all you "imaginary" people together in RL though!!

Sorry I've been rubbish at keeping up once again, life just seems to get in the way a bit just now!!

Yes I'm good thanks. 10 month old? You're a better man than me, it's only really now I think I could even contemplate going again, we'll I did and then the two's hit!

There must have been loads of name changes and additions, have skim read but the only ones I think are the same are Ali and Ilike, two years is a long time.

64 times is mind boggling, we're not doing too much in the way of naught steps/time outs but only because up until now I don't think he'd get it. We're probably overdue, Tom is one of those Toddlers that people says things like 'isn't he busy' and, 'is he always like this' and 'no wonder you're always tired' about. I think that paints a picture that you ladies will understand, he's a million miles an hour, until he conks out religiously at 12 for a couple of hours, and not so religiously at around 8pm. Good fun, but bloody hard work, more so now than ever.

He is potty trained though, just did it, a week before his second birthday. I wasn't ready, he was, I just twigged I was putting him in nappies and he didn't need them, took them off and ta da! That was it, I'm aware that that's not the norm!

How is everyone coping in the heat with sweaty, over tired Tasmanian devils?

Bless you, I can imagine its been a ride! I've had pnd, it kind of set on, or I realised it had at 6 months, had hell going back to work with arsehole boss and flexible working - funny how you think they'll be happy to have you back - and then my nan died and I got diagnosed with rheumatoid Arthritis amongst other things. I'm about to go back to the docs, I was a bit of a hero about it, fooled nobody, only myself though, it's taken me a while to find any kind of 'normal' iykwim?

Another boy? Lovely, are you coping ok? Are you still working?

MrsW that sounds really tough.

Sarah - my Tom is exactly like that. I get those exact comments!

Kitty - yay for A! Grin

It is DS1's birthday party tomorrow. We are prepared

Ali, it's always good to know its not just me with the crazy Tom, my other problem is that he's massive, we were under hospital until the beginning of the year because he had a spell off the charts for height, so I get the disapproving 'isn't he naughty' stare too when he bolts about like a mentalist.

I perfected c* eyes a while ago!

How did the party go Ali? Are you still recovering today?! I hope ds had a lovely time Grin Ds2 has such a great time at parties that he's the one who cries from exhaustion and frustration when it's time to go.

Yesterday and today have been a lot cooler so we've had some 'rerespite from the heat. If all I've got to do is potter around when it's hot, I'm mostly fine. It's when I've actually got stuff to do is when it becomes annoying. I had to unpack the boxes and put stuff away in the new kitchen on Thursday - I ended up doing it in my bra and knickers (sorry about that neighbours!)

We're having a family BBQ today, can't wait! The boys will be entertained by their cousins all afternoon, and then they'll bath them and put them in their pj's this evening Grin

The party was a huge success. 12 mega excited 5 year olds plus a few younger siblings, they had a great time in the softplay and then the party organiser there sorted out all the food and party bags.
DH and I did very little but were still exhausted and just collapsed in a heap when we got home. I get massive anxiety when we organise parties that no-one will come, no idea why but there we are. Everyone came so I needed have worried :)

Today I need to find homes for the small toy mountain that all his friends bought him - his actual birthday isn't until Tuesday so he's had no presents from family yet!

kitty we're going to get him a watch. So grown up Grin

B has just managed to get into his nappy, how I don't know he has shorty dungers on with a vest. Grabbed a handful of poo and eaten it and then smeared it all over his happy land toys and car mat!

I was only in the kitchen tidying up! Less than 10 feet away and in full sight!

I feel sick

Fizz that is GRIM. I bet it has taken ages to clean up all that.

Glad the party went well Ali. I have a thing about people not turning up as well.

Poor M. It must be awful feeling I'll in this heat. A bit of a naff way to start you ML firefly

It's 31 in the shade here today and humid. I took the boys out for a romp around the park this morning to run their beans off with the view to do naff all this afternoon. I have made some cookies as thank you presents to the pre-school staff (that was fun working in a hot kitchen!) so now it's time for us all to do naff all, eat lollies and dip our feet in the paddling pool Grin

Car mat binned. I'll buy another one. Fortunately it was just figures in happy land, so they are scrubbed and in a bucket of Milton! I still don't know how he managed it! I hope it was just a one off!

Sunny here but cooler, thank god!

Urgh, that's horrid Fizz - my tummy has turned in sympathy for you having to clear that up.

Hot and horrible here today. I've also had a puking toddler, so have spent this morning scrubbing the floor. Blurgh.

Can't wait for the rain to come. I'm sick of the stickiness now. Miser alert!

I hope the predicted storms get here and get rid of the humidity. I don't feel headachy so I'm not convinced they're on their way. Maybe I need to go for a wee and see if I can feel it in my water? Grin

I completely missed about A crawling kitty. I just saw it as I scrolled down. Hurrah for A! I cant believe he'll be one in a couple of months!

Has Kate had her baby yet?

Coooeee, where is everyone? Grin

The summer holidays are well and truly underway here. It's lovely to not have a timetable to adhere to. Although come September I will be gagging for the routine of the school run!

I had a fab night at Bunco last night. The theme was casino so I went as a bunny girl casino hostess. Not very PC but I was fresh out of ideas and a friend had the ears, collars and cuffs and I had the black trousers and top. The ladies who play are predominantly USAAF wives and are a real scream. They're from all over the US and it's really interesting chatting to them. Some of them really have travelled and lived all over the world.

Enjoy the weekend ladies Smile

Hello, still here, kitchen refit is 4 days in. I've also been having a sort out of my shed whilst the skip is in the drive, (well, it seemed rude not too). I'm enjoying the no school run although still have to make sure I'm dressed before the workman arrive at 8am.
P said a new word yesterday, Ham, which now brings her vocab up to an amazing 4 words Hmm. She is the Queen of gesturing though, she'd be perfect for Give Us A Clue. Grin
