Not really, just looks snazzy......!

TwentiethCenturyGirl · 16/08/2013 12:38

Backpacks are very on trend this season (so my friend who's a buyer for a high end store) tells me.

NomDeClavier · 16/08/2013 12:46

Oh exciting news green Name yet?

RegainingUnconsciousness · 16/08/2013 12:50

Presumably not the kind we have though, but those drawstring top & cheese wire strap things the kids are using that I had in 1993

RegainingUnconsciousness · 16/08/2013 12:53

Like this but not as cool.

There are some seriously nice bags on that site though.

Oh dear...

GlaikitFizzog · 16/08/2013 12:57

God are hose back on trend? I still have mine for my school days I. The loft!

I love bags, I have taken 6 with me this weekend because I couldn't decide which on went with my dress best. I know it's bad I have 6 bags that go with one dress! Fat girls friend though, a bag!

Daisy17 · 16/08/2013 13:04

Ooh, I love those but they do just cut your arms off if there's more than a pencil in it.....can't do links on my phone but Amazon - Eastpak Provider are the ones I'm looking at.....Boldbox Red and Paisley Blossom are the two I'm dithering between......

RegainingUnconsciousness · 16/08/2013 13:05

The trendier 15yo's I teach had them before the holidays.

Don't know if that translates to grown ups though.

TwentiethCenturyGirl · 16/08/2013 13:32

Apparently they need to be square in shape to fit with the fashionistas...

My friend is tres fashionable though - think fashion week style outfits. I'm a jeans and converse girl, so I take her tips with a pinch of salt!

Daisy17 · 16/08/2013 14:51

Ooh, excited, my mum says I never got round to telling her what I wanted for my birthday (in Feb!) so she's going to buy the funky-but-ridiculously-expensive one for me! Grin

Hope today's going well, Green. Flowers

Kittycatcat · 16/08/2013 16:52

Oh excellent daisy

We've been to the lolibop festival. Not impressed by lack no show of peppa or mr tumble

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 16/08/2013 21:03

Congratulations Green! Grin

On the name tape/sticker front I highly recommend Easy2name. They do stickers which survive the dishwasher, and are also great for sticking onto the insides of shoes. I confess that I do sew name tapes into DS1's uniform.

RegainingUnconsciousness · 17/08/2013 07:43

I did have sew on ones last year, but that novelty wore off pretty quickly! I wanted something longer lasting than iron-on ones but quicker than sew so I could just pop one on when we got new bits, etc.

These clip on ones seem great for both those criteria.

Got a bunch of stickers too, for shoes, drinks bottles etc.

GreenFirefly · 17/08/2013 13:39

We're just waiting to be picked up to go home nowSmile Can't wait. Will announce name once I've told my mum, even though she made the birth announcement and put first puck on Facebook before we could.Angry

RegainingUnconsciousness · 17/08/2013 14:02

Yay! Home time!

Will you have the same moment of quiet wonder that you do with the first?

Same about the fb. I expect she's dead excited though!

RegainingUnconsciousness · 17/08/2013 14:22

*shame

GreenFirefly · 17/08/2013 16:46

Baby Anna and I are home now. M seems very pleased I'm back, as is DH. M seems accepting of the new addition to the family. Especially as Anna bought her some happyland characters Grin I'm sore but better than at this stage last time. Smile just got to try not to do too much...
Feeding going well. A seems to know what to do.

TwentiethCenturyGirl · 17/08/2013 18:32

Love love LOVE the name Anna. Would have been on my list if a family member hadn`t got in first. Glad you're both doing well Smile

I'm glad the Happyland bribe has worked with M too. Clever baby Anna to buy her big sis a pressie Wink

GlaikitFizzog · 17/08/2013 19:09

Beautiful name, simple elegant and timeless, good choice green.

Glad you are home, just remember not to do too much. Just sit and snuggle your girls and be waited on :o

Kittycatcat · 17/08/2013 20:48

So happy for you green, and love the name. Send more pics when you can. She's a beauty x

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 18/08/2013 17:39

Green that is lovely that you are home and all happy Smile

My SIL had her baby yesterday morning - 7 hour first labour! We went for a quick visit this afternoon, baby is just beautiful and the DS's loved seeing her SmileSmileSmile

GlaikitFizzog · 18/08/2013 17:54

Is it a full moon? My friend is in labour too, it's stop start, but she's been admitted for an infection. Babies everywhere!

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 18/08/2013 20:22

Anna is a lovely name firefly Smile

I didn't realise you were going to ba an aunty Ali, what a great excuse to go out and do some baby shopping Grin

The boys have been at my sister's for two days and a night, we've just picked them up and they're in bed. They're exhausted but had a great time and

Dh and I walked along the Southbank (holding hands, not a small child's hand or a buggy!), mooched round the Tate Modern then had a late lunch at Wahaca. OMG the food was to die for - great flavours and really fresh tasting. We then went to Westfield in Stratford and done a bit of shopping. Oh, and we saw Sid and Andy from CBeebies in Westfield and got a picture of them. We were chatting to them and they asked where our kids were. So we explained that they weren't with us, they must have thought we were slightly odd asking for a photo when our kids weren't there....

Today we went out for lunch again then went to see the new Alan Partridge film. If you are an Alan Partridge fan you must go, it is hilarious. I laughed from start to finish.

You met Sid and Andy?! I'm actually jealous!

We've just finished watching series 2 of Game of Thrones. Having missed it all on tv, we've got to wait till February for series 3 to come out on DVD.

Good job I've got to go back to work in a fortnight!

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 18/08/2013 21:39

Winter is coming .........
