obligatory "Luis is still awake at stupid o clock waving at a hopefully sleeping quiche" post

LuisGarcia · 23/05/2013 03:34

Well, while I'm here on my own, let me just kick Thankful Thursday off by saying I am thankful to you all playing Words With Friends with me and helping my brain stay active.

PurplePidjin · 23/05/2013 03:50

Morning, Luis Brew we gonna have a rl one soon and get J back on his big boat?

I am thankful for 3 hourly feeds tonight Shock

LuisGarcia · 23/05/2013 03:56

Yes. When are you free? Needs to be at least 10 days from now for money reasons.

And this isn't morning and coffee yet, this is still yesterday and sleepy dust

Bryzoan · 23/05/2013 04:01

Hiya luis - takes so long to catch up these days.

Hugs kyz. You're doing brilliantly and my heart is with the lot of you.

Chasing - I'm scared for you. How is p reacting to this? Please get some advice from womens aid.

Right. There are 365.25 days in a year. In calendar terms 365 days in non leap years - with a catch up day every 4 years (leap years) to make up for all the 1/4 days. 365 days is 52.2 (ish) weeks, not 52 weeks exactly. Which is why the days change and 26 weeks does not totally equal 6 months old.

Bryzoan · 23/05/2013 04:16

I do wish g would fail on transfer when he's going to rather than giving me 5 mins of falling asleep before waking again. Gets me every time. I know g isn't as bad as many at the moment bit I'm still finding it hard. How you are all managing (especially luis with the fucked knees and baby spirit level) I have no idea.

LuisGarcia · 23/05/2013 04:23

I was about to say I only manage with my knees because MrsG has my back when the spirit level woke up..

Bryzoan · 23/05/2013 04:33

A day of success yesterday. R was checked for a cleft palette which she doesn't have, thankfully - but she was offered 6 months of weekly therapy specifically to build mouth strength by the cleft team. Am so over the moon. All her speech therapy to date has seemed to focus on language rather than speech production but it is making sounds that she seems to struggle with. Her understanding is brilliant and her signing is coming on really well.

Bryzoan · 23/05/2013 04:37

Spirit level. Go the fuck to sleep.

Just changed a poonami. Thought the days of night slime were behind us but apparently not.

ChasingDaisy · 23/05/2013 04:37

After a terrible start to the night O has just slept 9.30-4.30 Shock. His best ever. That is almost sleeping through.

Lily311 · 23/05/2013 04:38

She only woke twice! And still asleep. Not me though.
Hope elyza had a good night.
chasing get the fuck out. Come to Hungary for a few days/weeks, you are more than welcome.
horsey well done to E.
det you booked his birthday party??? I don't even want to think about that she is going to be 1 in nov. my plan is to book tickets for my Oh's best friend for nov, he absolutely loves O and missing her a lot. My brother will come too and hopefully my best friend with her daughter. All need to fly though.
O spends time in her jail (playpen). She loves grabbing toys and throwing them away, also loves books. She became obsessed with my nephew's comforter do ordered her one as he will be back on sat to take his away. She loves my dad and sitting in the garden. Also loves eating. I sing all the time and chat to her. She is in jumperoo too. My mum is buying a small ball for her this weekend as a child is not a child without a ball.

LuisGarcia · 23/05/2013 04:42

Good boy O

Bryzoan · 23/05/2013 04:42

G loves balls. And toy cars. But when r was his age it was all about bells and shakers as far as she was concerned. G is much less fussed about those.

Lily311 · 23/05/2013 04:45

Oh, as for dogs. I'm so jealous. My sis has 2 dogs and she sent me a video of her 3 year old hugging both dogs on the patio explaining that he couldn't possible go to sleep as the dogs were not tired and they would get lonely if he disappears for the night. My sister keeps saying on the video that it was bedtime and he keeps trying to reason with her saying look, how sad dog1 is, how lonely they were going to get overnight without him, it was so cute.

kirrinIsland · 23/05/2013 05:26

I've only skim read - sorry - as work days are proving no busy that no much else gets done. I'm done for the week now though!

kyz thinking of you and your Mum. Hope baby E is feeling better soon. If it is reflux /intolerances you have a wealth of knowledge in this quiche :)

chasing get out. Just that. You've made an important realisation today - act on it. Womens aid can help.

VQ hope J is well and truly on the mend now.
And your description of second pregnancies was spot on!

Apologies for what I've missed - I will do better tomorrow :)

N just slept 8 - 5 Shock And DD1 hasn't woken all night either. Feels good but I won't get used to it

PetiteRaleuse · 23/05/2013 06:34

Morning. Only one wake up here and I slept through it :)

It's good having DH back.

I'm thankful for another healthy week, for my DH, for my DDs and for this quiche.

I'm not thankful for teething.

MaMaPo · 23/05/2013 06:37

Selfish qq: which is the lesser of two evils - holding tired baby so she gets some sleep but revisiting bad habits, or enforcing good habits which means no nap time?

to all and sundry, esp Kyz, Chasing and PP.

One more week until my Aus trip is over and I face the hell flight back to London with a baby who now doesn't sleep, who has 'found her voice' (nice way to say 'screams') and who has started teething. I want my pré-holiday baby back, this one is hard work! I also want my husband. Sorry, being all me me me today...

Sophiathesnowfairy · 23/05/2013 06:43

I gave up the dream feed on Saturday. O has been going to bed around 6:45 and waking between 6:00 - 6:45 Grin

MaMaPo · 23/05/2013 06:53
Cacacaz · 23/05/2013 06:58

kyz poor little E. I hope you are able to encourage your mum to rest. I think its wonderful that you are being a tower of strength for your mum. She is very lucky to have you.

Horsey Hi five to E for being the first crawler

VQ lovely news re your friend. My sister is also pregnant around 9 weeks now. Baby due on Christmas Eve.

Games in this house include peek a boo, singing made up songs I'm sure he is laughing at us and not with us bouncing in the jumperoo which actually looks like he is trying to dance a highland jig.

Pr I also have a hair puller. He will also try to nom said hair.

pass we do tickling rhymes. M loves this little piggy and will giggle as soon as I touch his foot. My favourite is a little Scottish rhyme.

Roun a bout, roun a bout
Catch a wee moose
Up a bit, up a bit
In its wee hoose

chasing what a bunch of utter arses. Fuckers!

Dixiebell · 23/05/2013 07:42

Morning all. DH fell off his bike yesterday. He was coming down a hill towards junction with a main road and his brakes failed. He went right across main road, almost got hot by a car and landed in a hedge. Luckily, as he doesn't wear a helmet because it would mess up his hair. Hmm I have told him he's not to ride it again until brakes fixed, and he must wear helmet. He's ok, scratches all down his cheek. Made him take car to station today.

PetiteRaleuse · 23/05/2013 07:54

Shock Dixie that must have been scary for him. There's a big cloud of bad luck shitting all over the quiche this last week. It is high time it fucked right off.

that's great news Sophia :) Envy

PetiteRaleuse · 23/05/2013 07:55

:o at image of cacacaz LO doing a highland jig in the jumparoo.

MissMummy1 · 23/05/2013 08:03

Sending lots of love kyz and echoing what everyone has said. You are a true credit to your mum xxx

Love the dog story lily - that really made me smile Smile

Umm cant remember what else.

Today I have woken up and really hate 'd'p. He is whinging that he only slept for 5 hours last night, that he is too tired to sit in the car and come up north with me today, that his sleep is more important as I am a woman and "nature has designed us to survive on less sleep" =I shit you not. It is becoming apparent kver the past few days that he will ot do anything I want, or indeed support me in anything I want to do. It is his way or no way. Fucker Angry I know in my head I do not want to be with him anymore but then we have a run of good weeks days hours (?) and I try and make things work for m's sake. Arghhh feeling very sorry for myself and a bit lost todaySad Sad Sad

I am thankful for my gorgeous sleepdodger.
