Whereabouts are you looking at MM? Property prices are brilliant here, just round the corner from me there's a detached five bedroom property with a double garage and a huge garden on sale for £200k!

J is back to normal now Detective thanks for asking. I'm going to cut eggs out of my diet for a few weeks to see of it makes any difference to his skin and tummy problems. My only concern is I'm thinking about starting a low-carb primal-type diet as I've been having issues with hypoglycaemia and eggs play a big part in that sort of diet because it's all about the protein.

That egg reaction would have properly scared me stunt. Well done for staying cool.

So sad to hear you are feeling so rough vq. I spent the last 3 months of my last mat leave stressed and teary about leaving r to go back to work. It is a rotten feeling. Everything feels worse when you are poorly too. Hope you feel a bit better soon.

Madam - hope your day went well.

G just woke up with proper back archy windy screaming. Have eventually settled him with a bf but hope that won't make him worse. He hasn't done that in ages. I had a fork full of cheesecake on sat - but would have expected a reaction from that earlier? He is only on a cube of fruit a day so far weaning wise - today was pear. He is 24 weeks today so would think that should be fine. I'm stumped.

GTbaby · 13/05/2013 23:27

VQBrewWine Thanks

Det. How could you not tell us! That was 5days of what ifs (I'm not the only one) we could have all discussed.

WOOP. I'm laying on my side! And I'm not in pain! Slight discomfort. But not pain Grin. I'm wondering if the short walk yesterday helped. DH is off after tomorrow so will mk him take me for some more walks. And I don't want to just walk around my living room. I don't want to walk up the street as ill get spotted by extended family.

Right DEXTER TIME.

TheDetective · 13/05/2013 23:58

I only realised on Sunday, and sent DP straight to the shop. It would have been the worlds shortest speculation on up the duffedness!

Literally, I realised, told DP and he went straight to the shop. Less than 10 minutes in all!

Grin

I don't hang around!

Stupid period being a bastard and making me shit myself!

Stunt Crap. That doesn't sound like good timing then. For what it's worth, O won't be having eggs as he definitely is CMPI - the differences in him now he is on pepti jr are immense. It's been a full week. So I'm going to avoid the big allergens :( Egg is in so much stuff though. O is pretty much going to be on home made foods forever!

ChasingDaisy · 14/05/2013 00:10

pig I've popped details of the rightmove page on fb, no idea how to link. Just realised I'm the only one who calls you pig Blush Sounds awfully rude when I think about it Confused

VQ you haven't sounded like yourself for a few days. I hope you are managing to look after yourself as much as you can and that MrVQ is stepping up to help you. Hugs x

kirrinIsland · 14/05/2013 00:32

Sorry you're not feeling good VQ Flowers The return to work is certainly an emotional thought. Why do you feel incapable? You're doing an awesome job.

GT congrats on lying on your side :) Must make a welcome change.

stunt That is unbelievable £200k barely gets you a 2 bed flat round here. Move to NI seems like a good plan mm

First wake up here - which is an improvement on the last few nights.

TheDetective · 14/05/2013 01:53

Regression has not fucked the fuck off. :(

LuisGarcia · 14/05/2013 01:58

Nope. Here neither.

LuisGarcia · 14/05/2013 01:59

Watching Peter Kay.

Not finding it that funny tbh.

LuisGarcia · 14/05/2013 02:22

Right. Question time.

As far as I know at least some of you (bigpiglittlepig and others) are medically savvy. I have medial collateral ligament strains in both knees from skiing L to sleep. I am currently controlling the pain with cocodamol but I recognize that the ultimate cure is fixing her sleep. I live somewhere beautiful and I want to go running to lose the sleep deprived pringles weight, but my knees don't seem up to it.

What is my best plan for going from struggling to carry bubs up and down stairs to running? Her sleep gets fixed, I use fewer painkillers, there is a step I don't know and then I can run.

Not a big Peter Kay fan myself.

LuisGarcia · 14/05/2013 03:39

for fucks sake I am so fucking sick of... oh, it's Tuesday. nevermind.

LuisGarcia · 14/05/2013 04:08

just me tonight, huh? that's strangely nice

TheDetective · 14/05/2013 04:32

Here again :(

Knees - I dunno. I do vaginas and babies. Sorry! But it sounds shit :(

O is full of the joys of spring. He cried to get me up then as soon as I went in and gave him a quick cuddle he's been singing. Hmm Not a single whinge while I made his bottle.

Please don't let it be party o clock. As cute as you are.

TheDetective · 14/05/2013 04:52

Feel mean. Had to get DP up to pace the floor with him. My back is really sore and I haven't got it in me to walk and rock got the next however long. :(

kirrinIsland · 14/05/2013 04:53

I'm here too. Second wake up so pretty good going.

Luis I am not medically savvy so I can't help with the advice but ouch. Just ouch. That sounds painful :(

Lily311 · 14/05/2013 05:09

I was here but I saved you all from my ramblings. We are in a month long of fucking sleep regression. She can hardly manages a 3 hour chunk. I am beyond tired. My parents can't help as they still work but I so wish to sleep. It doesn't help that period arrived this morning.

We are off to the flat today, cable guy is coming to fix net. Yey. Painting on Saturday and Sunday than rest on Monday. Well, not really, I have an Ou assignment due on tues.

lois can't help with knee. I have troubles with my heels and can't fix that either.
det I can't believe you didn't tell us about peeing on a stick. I love poas threads.
stunt scary reaction to eggs. Hopefully it will change. My friend's daughter had one too, I remember sitting in Starbucks in Wimbledon when the poor little mite's face turned red and swollen. She was eating a blueberry muffin. She was 2, now 9 and grew out of it.
gt hope you had a good night

Submitted my Hungarian tax return yesterday and I'm due to get a £1000 back. Going to buy a nice little car I guess.

Bryzoan · 14/05/2013 05:10

Might be worth seeing a sports physio luis? My family all run a lot and my bil is always getting injuries. His sports physio helps with his recovery and also advises on what he can do safely without breaking himself long term. I would see one now in your shoes thinking about it, to help plan recovery.

StuntNun · 14/05/2013 05:11

Is running likely to cause damage to your knees long term Luis given thy they are already injured? What about cycling instead? You really need to see a physiotherapist, preferably a sports physiotherapist that can advise you on how to include running in your recovery plan. I suspect it will involve anti-inflammatories, possibly ultrasound therapy, and exercises to strengthen your knees. Walking would be the first step if you pardon the pun, followed by the gentle introduction of running, perhaps something like the couch to 5k plan so you don't do too much too quickly. Be aware that you may be at increased risk of osteoarthritis with these injuries so it is in your interests to keep your knees in good shape to prevent this. If the tendons and ligaments around your knee joint are strong then this helps keep the bone from rubbing and causing arthritic wear and tear. Once you are running you may benefit from gait analysis.

OP posts:
YellowWellies · 14/05/2013 05:41

First wake up! Am so wishing I'd gone to bed at 10 - I'd have been a new woman on 7.5 hours uninterrupted sleep. Hey ho well done little bear - regression keep fucking the fuck off then fuck off some more!

Luis running always knackers my knees, ankles or feet. Even with physio and gait analysis - some of us just aren't suited to it. I love it though Blush with your knees you might struggle to keep it up as a weight loss tool. Wear lots of support, build up walking then start off with walk/run reps and remember not to increase time or distance by more than 10% a week.

Sophiathesnowfairy · 14/05/2013 06:56

luis yep, maybe find an exercise lighter upon the knee, however, being an owner of crappy knees myself and enjoying knee heavy activities like ski ing, I find that by working on strengthening the quads helps take some of the pressure off the knee and into the thigh.

vq don't worry my lovely. It will be ok. You are meant to be sharing your wonderful mothering skills with others. I hope you feel better soon.

Washing machines making awful noise in kitchen. Confused

Pikz · 14/05/2013 06:57

Urghhh can't stop puking and yes have just POAS just in case.

Luis sorry about the knees. They are often linked to ligaments in thighs and hips so sports physio is best bet. Foam rollers will become your friend

Sophiathesnowfairy · 14/05/2013 06:59

Shit. Is the bra strap caught in the door meaning the water is dripping out and the bra is becoming twisted sister. Shock

MissMummy1 · 14/05/2013 08:10

Bugger sophia.

Our search is mainly in the Co Down area with a focus on North Down. In particular the wee town Donaghadee. I quite like the look of Bangor but maybe somewhere in between. What started as a quick google search to get a comparison for property prices here may be turning into a complete life changing decision Shock I am scared and excited at the same time! (Scared of leaving my family to be close to his but dead excited about the prospect of moving somewhere completely new!)

We will see.

Oh and Matilda slept through till 6 Wink
