O keeps waking up again tonight. Sigh.

GP told me off today. She worries for O's safety as I haven't left P Sad

Chasing I feel the same as you. I'm erging on being able to count my ribs, and that's with spending vast quantities of time sat on my arse. After F was born, I was chuffed to bits because I thought I'd put some weight on. I cried when, 3 days later, I realised it was all fluid retention and I'd pissed it out again. I guess we're never happy with our lot.

Glad you had a lovely holiday izzy, boo to the sleep ishoos though.
YW there's nothing wrong with eating that many cakes, am impressed you managed to stop at 6.

MIL had not one piece of advice today, it was actually a very enjoyable afternoon/evening. Plus roast beef and apple crumble - mummy pig has a full belly now Grin

She's right Chasing and as a doc I'm sure she doesn't want to be treating any Daddy inflicted injuries on O (or on you!) xxx

Wooo I've figured out why books make Jonas so furious. The poor sausage can't figure out why he can't pick up the things he sees in the pictures!

Too early to scrap the uni fund?! Wink Wink Wink Grin Grin

Oscar smacks books. He seems to get frustrated that he can't pick up the pictures Grin

It's my rib area I hate most pig, its disgusting.

Well, erm, it wasn't that quick. I've had far worse though. Phew. Jaffa cakes now nommed Grin.

I read O a book this afternoon. It's something about roaring. I forget. Anyway, I did the lion roar every page, along with the other animals. On the last page O broke down screaming proper frightened tears. The lion roar over and over was just too much for him!

I've roared twice since, and got the same reaction. I've scarred him for life, haven't I?!

O doesn't have much patience for books, or listening to stories. He's far too busy doing everything anything else. Hmm

We are optimistically going to Coniston in August! DH does not like busy places! We have to go during school hols unfortunately. Anyone got suggestions for what to do there with an 8 month old?

Therre's a song on youtube called the animal sounds song, it's crap but DD1 loves it. The first few times I sang along and it ends with a roaring lion. She cried.

DH has gone to the gym. F was in bed. I ran myself a lovely warm scalding hot bath and hopped in, picked up my book and..."waaaaaah". Am now sat making a puddle on the sofa feeding the wee piggy.

With all this period talk I'm so glad I haven't got mine. I can't remember when mine came back with ds1. H is not well at all. He's had cold since last Tuesday and has been fine with it, but since Monday it's been worse. Dr has said he's got an ear infection so he's on antibiotics. He's so snotty, it's not good at all.

I did weight watchers, I stopped about 3 weeks ago because I kept getting ill. The iPhone app is great. I still have 10lb to get back to pre preg and I haven't gained at all since I stopped which is good. I try to walk as much as I can and try to have fruit and veg for snacks but I know my portions are bigger than in ww and I indulge way more than I should.

Millions of things to do in the Lakes. Farms and the south lakes animal park, boat rides on Coniston, lakeside walks (some are ok for strollers), there's an indoor aquarium in the south lakes somewhere...

chasing (((hug))) I cannot begin to imagine what it is like for you. I left an abusive relationship, but I did not have a child with the bastard, had a good job, lots of RL support etc. it is very different when there is a baby involved. I pray that you will find the strength to leave x

MM I think you have a lovely womanly body. You are tall and carry it well, plus you are beautiful, with lovely hair and good dress sense. Plus you are half my age!!!! And also have been given a brain. I hear what you are saying though, but please approach it from an 'adding healthy food and exercise' angle.

I feel old and fat because I am old and fat. But I am the happiest I have ever been and would not swap back to when I was a size 8 for anything.

Thanks petite.
Weirdly, I was just thinking today how nice it is to still not have a period - don't look forward to it coming back, always found it such a faff.

I have been trying new fruits to start eating in place of my daily chocolate - unfortunately the first new one I tried was kiwi and it became immediately apparent that I'm allergic to it! I have various allergies, but was not expecting to discover a new one at this age! I actually enjoyed it too before the reaction kicked in :(

Report
BigPigLittlePig · 15/05/2013 21:21

On the subject of kiwi. Don't puree it. It looks like frogspawn.

VQ what a lovely thing to say.
PR best excuse for champagne I ever heard!

YW it's not so much a case of reflux presenting late as that I've been either ignoring the constant puking, abdominal pain, poor sleep, wriggling during feeds or hoping they would magically get better on their own. Now he's six months and he's still vomiting six or so times a day (plus whenever he just swallows it again), still waking up groaning in pain, pulling away from the nipple during feeds. I feel that these things should have improved by now. There's all the fact that I'm at the end of my rope trying to manage everything on so little sleep especially day to day management of DS1's behavioural problems. I have reached the point where I need to try and do something about it or it will break me so I'll give the Gaviscon a try, it may work or it may not but at least I'm doing something about it all.

Hopefully you'll see rapid improvement Lily. My ex-manager's son has Erb's Palsy (partially paralysed down one arm) and he came a long way very quickly.

Aw vq you are luffly. And right. In that mm is youthful and beautiful. We never know it though. How many of us would go back to younger selves to say "you are young and vibrant and fabulous - stop wishing your life away with an inch less here or on that fuckwit there"? I know I would.

I also wonder if in out thread in 30 years time we will have this convo:
. . . And then my grandson walks in with his willy in his hand and says . . .
Oh hi chasing

Chasing: duders! You will never guess!
PR: the recipe for my truffle surprise? Damn right. Jog on!
Chasing: no! I just came across the MN threads from Nov 2012!
Collective: OMG!
Mr Detective: oh! Is that when I used to stalk . . . Oh. Whoops.
Chasing: that's the one! When I was living with O's dad. And he was a total and utter bawbag. But I was scared and didn't know where to go. Isn't it amazing how life changes? One day you can just know that you have it in you. And you just do. And it was right. Isn't that amazing?
Collective: sniff
BP: oh! That reminds me! O is a fabulous luis Spence in 'dancing on ice: the musical' You must be very proud . . .

Horsey thanks for the tip about keeping finger food in fridge - forgot to say this yesterday! He's taken puree better today, but I've had to give it before bottles, which isn't what I wanted to do really, but I suppose if he takes both it's okay.

Once 6 month hits I'll be trying a load more things with him. Can't wait!

I have found the ultimate fat day outfit. I think you will agree, it is simply to die for Grin Fat outfit.
