vq apart from No stock and seasoning my purées are soups!!

Oh yeah meat and stuff. Need to do that. Because we don't eat much of it, i tend to forget about it. He loves cheese spread on bread!!! Going to try hummus too I think!!

fruit hugs. Dh has been out the last two weekends and been very drunk!! I ended up doing everything!! I was not happy!

Ds can sit, not for long. 5-10 minutes but he has to be in the mood!! Most babies start between 6-9 months so please don't panic!!! They will do everything in their own time. Ds starting crawling. Kind of. It's hilarious!!

ValiumQueen · 12/05/2013 14:41

GT not sure going out for dinner is the best thing for you. Do you have someone who can bring you home if you need to?

ChasingDaisy · 12/05/2013 14:45

Fruit I would have been furious. Give him hell.

Shit, there is more I wanted to say but completely forgot.

O slept badly last night, didn't go longer than three hours at any point and had multiple wakings. His soundest sleep was from 5am to 7.30 when he was in with me, laying on his tummy. I stayed awake the whole time to keep an eye on him. I think he would sleep well on his front but am too scared to try it.

Tried mashed up banana for his lunch today but he won't take anything from a spoon so BLW it is. Going to try Courgette tomorrow and then make some roast parsnip and sweet potato chips for him.

GTbaby · 12/05/2013 15:30

VQ. I'd get a cab back if I struggle. N we have a teenager with us who needs to be in bed early. So wont be a late night.

kirrinIsland · 12/05/2013 15:32

kyz poor E :( and poor you Thanks

Glad to hear N isn't hopelessly behind with sitting. I just had it in my head that as weaning is recommended at 6 months and sitting is supposed to be one of the signs of readiness then she should be doing it by now! And she's my second - I should know this stuff really :) but DD1 sat at 5 months and then did nothing but sit until 11 months when she decided to give crawling a go

Passmethecrisps · 12/05/2013 15:57

Hallo. P can't really sit either. A minute or so then she starts to fold over - literally so that her nose touches her toes.

She tried some pear for lunch - om nom! DH tried some to illustrate its deliciousness having in his head that it would be horrible. He was pleasantly surprised so she was lucky to get any. Not sure how much actually gets swallowed but she likes to take the spook off me and chew on it. It makes a rubbery squeak noise which she enjoys.

DH just came to show me the sweat dripping off his forehead from all his housework. Very impressive. I am sat on my arse watching. Nice one

ChasingDaisy · 12/05/2013 17:42

Oscar has been an absolute whirlwind today. I'm shattered. Took him to the park again today and he seems to love it. He gets excited when I unlock the front door now Smile

He has managed to grab his feet for the first time today - he is so long that he had struggled up to now. Detective does O reach his feet? He then wriggled around on his back like a demented worm. He just didn't stop. God knows where he gets his energy from. He has been full of smiles as well. A lovely day.

Lily311 · 12/05/2013 18:55

O can sit. She only wants to sit. She can do up to 20 min and cries if I put her on her back after. She has amazing core muscles, she can actually pull herself up by holding onto my finger. But than she only rolled twice. She had a good day with my mum, but my oh my I was so anxious without her. It's weird being without her.

She also loves her feet. In her mouth. And blowing raspberries. Those are fun. She now lifts her bum up and is very satisfied with her effort.

Flat is a building site, we will finish it next weekend. My older brother came to help but I had to tell him off as he was rushing things and didn't do a proper job. He probably thinks I'm nuts. But I don't do half jobs, if I start something, it has to be done properly.

ChasingDaisy · 12/05/2013 19:04

Twas getting lonely in here.

It must have felt strange leaving O for the first time, but it is great that you have family support over there. You sound like you are getting on with building your life and O is obviously loving it.

My O can't sit unaided although he wants to. We pad out the highchair otherwise he tilts.

Yes to the bum lifting, O loves that! I think part of the reason for his crap sleep lately is that he is really discovering his body and what he can do and he likes to practice at night Hmm

Not sure how tonight will go, but he has had an active day and two poos. Hasn't fed much though. There are no patterns to his nights so god knows.

KatieLily12 · 12/05/2013 19:11

Oh god

What a few days

Anyone got any gin and a straw they can give me???

YellowWellies · 12/05/2013 19:17

Oh no Katie what's up? Reflux hell? Have a large Wine xxxx

PurplePidjin · 12/05/2013 19:21

R can sit on the floor but loses interest when he sees his foot/hand/toy etc Hmm he's fine in the highchair, wouldn't have started food so early otherwise :)

Wine for KatieLily

KatieLily12 · 12/05/2013 19:27

Ooooo ta!

What did I miss?

Partner away regularly right now, just off back of worst sleep regression. Exhausted. Had massive health relapse and then.... God I don't know if I can even share this???? I'm going to sound like such a cow???

Partners mum just got scammed for every single card and bank account. She even face then thousands of pounds of cash. How in gods name????? So she's now hysterical and he's had to go there to sort it all out.

I'm solo, under a baby with house full of chores not knowing where to start?

Gin. I need gin. And possibly dinner

KatieLily12 · 12/05/2013 19:28

*gave them

YellowWellies · 12/05/2013 19:34

Oh crap Katie was in on t'internet? Or door to door scammers? My FIL has to be watched like a hawk on the web he's such an innocent / greedy bugger he falls for every 'if it sounds too good to be true, it usually is' con going. The Daily Mail has made him cynical as fuck about people yet a babe in the wood financially. Envy

KatieLily12 · 12/05/2013 19:39

Over the phone. They sent a courier round for all her cards and cash 'to investigate'

Really?????

She's a highly respected academic ffs.

ChasingDaisy · 12/05/2013 19:41

Oh no Katie Sad. Has she spoken to the police/trading standards?

KatieLily12 · 12/05/2013 19:56

She was hysterical so my partner has dealt with police etc. they have taken thousands. They kept taking more and she kept giving. Even when they said 'tell no one for 12 hours'

I'm shocked. Really shocked

StuntNun · 12/05/2013 19:58

That's awful Katie. Some people must be so persuasive to get others to fall for these scams. Can you take it easy tonight if you're having to cope on your own?

MissMummy1 · 12/05/2013 20:07

Bollocks Katie - people are utter bastards.

Kyz when M was on anti bs I would squirt syringe slowly into back corner of her mouth then blow in her face. It was always a fight though Sad

Appointment will be made tomorrow althoigh (tempting fate) I am feeling marginally better this evening.

KatieLily12 · 12/05/2013 20:09

I have always thought of her as strong, feisty and intelligent and I just can't connect such a painfully obviously scam and her. She's had a really tough year but I think we thought she was stronger than she really is? I'm frightened for her and angry at the same time. Is that wrong?

Planning to resettle baby abs just do essentials and set up for tomorrow in case I'm alone for the next few days. And dinner. Must try for dinner

Elizadoesdolittle · 12/05/2013 20:14

E doesn't sit up yet. DD1 sat up on excatly her 6 month mark but E is nowhere near. I have to keep propping her up in the highchair so am weary about giving too many finger foods, although she loved sucking hummus off of a bread stick today. Must make some homemade stuff.

Katie I am throwing lots of gin your way. I can't stand the stuff myself so I'll take any wine you have spare so I can drown my sorrows over my shit week. ignores fact I drank far too much last night and have been suffering today

MsJupiterJones · 12/05/2013 20:15

Oh Katie how awful. My DMIL fell for one of those scams where they send emails from a friend's hacked account saying they are stuck abroad and to send money. She was devastated to find out it was a scam, not just because of the money but the embarrassment and feeling of being foolish and vulnerable. My heart goes out to her Katie.

BigPigLittlePig · 12/05/2013 20:20

Dude, sorry for leaving my sofa today. We went to a 6 year olds birthday party. He was much more concerned with playing with his nerf gun than cake. I however ate too much cake and was nearly a bit sick Blush

Katie that sucks, it is amazing what scams people get sucked into.
Pass when your dh is done, we could do with some vacuuming being done in chateau pig.

F can't sit unsupported, but she's getting better at staying straight in her highchair. Seriously hoping tonight goes better, well, the evening. She's currently dozing on my lap after a big feed, so fingers and toes crossed that's it now until 3.

TheDetective · 12/05/2013 20:26

Wow Katie, what utter bastards :( I've never understood how most normal people can fall for these scams, but I guess they can and do. What will happen now? Are the police involved? Do you think she can get any of the money back? :(

O doesn't like broccoli, and is a bit 'whatever' over butternut squash. He was quite funny at dinner today! Ended up mushing up a banana for him as the above 2 are the only things left in the freezer. I'm going to have to get my finger out on the puree front tomorrow. I'd say tonight, but I'm having a CBA night.
