vq furious is not the word! He has just called, he stayed at his mates and didn't even think to let me know. I never knew I had such a selfish cunt for a partner! He is on his way home, he'll wish he hadn't bothered by the time I've finished with him. I even phoned the hospitals I was that worried. I don't mind him stopping out, he does sometimes, he has never not let me know though, hence why I was so worried.

BigPigLittlePig · 12/05/2013 11:01

Pass it's all I can do to get F to have milk in the morning, there's no chance of any food finding its way in. But at lunch, I suspect she would happily eat at least 2 icecubes of puree. Today we're trying sweet potato. I think this week I'll try to give her lunch and tea.

Does anyone elses baby have no interest in milk in the morning? She'll feed in the middle of the night (last night 3pm), and this morning has had a 2 minute feed at 9.30. She seems to have completely dropped her 8am feed in the past few weeks.

Passmethecrisps · 12/05/2013 11:02

How bizarre fruit! Was he the inspiration for your WWF word 'arse'? I get worried about DH if we are out f contact for a matter of hours - especially if he is out.

BigPigLittlePig · 12/05/2013 11:03

Hell hath no fury like an uninformed pass...

fruitpastilles · 12/05/2013 11:05

Haha yes pass if I'd had the letters I'd have gone a lot worse!

fruitpastilles · 12/05/2013 11:05

Oh and luis beat my 102 I got with135 Hmm

Passmethecrisps · 12/05/2013 11:05

BP p has weird phases with her milk. She has bottles at very approximately 7, 10, 1, 4 and 7. Usually she point blank refuses either the 1 or 4 one. She can be a bit non-plussed first thing. Basically I never have any idea when she will be most hungry as there is no rhyme or reason to it. I might try again at lunchtime maybe with some cucumber sticks.

Passmethecrisps · 12/05/2013 11:07

Lol BP! I am going to be a nightmare when P starts going out. I might get her fitted with a GPS chip.

BigPigLittlePig · 12/05/2013 11:12

Pass you could do with some sort of automatic homing device. Suitable for men and teenagers. But obviously can be turned off by grown women who wish to spend the night drinking cocktails in swishy bars.

kirrinIsland · 12/05/2013 11:13

N is 6 months today. She's had a celebratory suck of an orange (not intentional). I might get going with weaning now though.

Is anyone else's baby showing no sign of sitting at 6 months?

fruit is that normal behaviour for him? Can you call anyone he was with?

stunt that's infuriating. I always feel like not bothering with the tidying when DP invites people round but I know it's me that will get judged, not him!

kirrinIsland · 12/05/2013 11:16

Cross post fruit I'd be furious. Did it not occur to him that you'd worry?

horseylady · 12/05/2013 11:17

pass I offer food three times a day. Most days. Sometimes just once. But initially we just did as hoc. Lunch is our hardest meal. But he lives finger food. So were prob going to end up ditching the mush.

Wrt packet vs homemade, I sit on the fence. I understand that some people just want their babies eating. Packet food I guess tastes very samey and is amazingly smooth. I know I could it that smooth if I sieved it etc. but I want him to deal with chunks. And he does.

fruitpastilles · 12/05/2013 11:33

Clearly not kirrin he was full of apologies when he come in, just said that he didn't even think and blaming being drunk. Apologies won't wash today. He also wants sympathy because he fell over and has hurt his shoulder and ankle. No it's not normal he, doesn't often go out at all now since we've had S, this is probably the 3rd time.

fruitpastilles · 12/05/2013 11:36

Ooh grammar in that last post is all over the place Blush

StuntNun · 12/05/2013 11:39

Kirrin J is six months on Tuesday and nowhere near sitting yet, he can't even manage for a few second yet. It's a bit of a relief tbh as DS2 walked at nine months. This way we'll get a bit longer before we have to put the stairgates up when J starts crawling.

Fruit it's the rage. I have images of you sat hunched over a keyboard, bashing the shit out of the keys, steam coming out of your ears. He would also not get a jot of sympathy from me, if he were my dh.

Kirrin if F tries to sit unaided, she topples over. If I prop her up, shr faceplants, then seems surprised/delighted to find herself on her tummy, albeit with limbs wedged in funny places.

Kyzordz · 12/05/2013 11:53

Morning all falls down on quiche floor have been living in vomit, paint poo, high temp, snot and a strangled cry this weekend :( been very tough indeed :( yesterday he devoured breakfast but then didn't take much milk, 24oz total inc df. Today he refused breakfast but drank 7 1/2 oz and hasn't been sick yet so it's another break from solids again for us because milk is best for him when he is so reluctant to take anything. Hope I'm doing the right thing.

I have been reading and have so much to reply to but barely any time without e needing or wanting something. Haven't even had night time as he has been glued to me so we have had to co sleep. I will fix this when he is better, but for now I think he must feel like he needs to be with me :(

Ok so he's still asleep, will cram bits in...

mm def go doctors

gt that sounds rough :(

pass timing seems very important here too, seems like solids before bottle work well but obviously I'm not doing this when he is ill or perhaps not at all anyway. Depends how frustrated I get

Wrt packet food, I'll try it if/when I get desperate. Not sure when that will be. I am supposed to do one veg at a time first, I know this, but if he refuses veg how will I ever get past this point? :/

Erm

kirrin LO was sitting ok but since being poorly has almost regressed it seems. Including that he is preferring to drink from a smaller teat size. I'm sure N will pick up sitting pretty soon :)

stunt I'd be tempted to encourage the boys to be a wee bit unruly. Don't understand this seen and not heard business. Always makes me wonder why you'd have kids if not to hear the ingenious things they say :)

J did well last night vq :)

Erm

luis you're fab, that is all.

chasing I missed the p chat but huge hugs

Aaany tips on getting the boy to take and not wear most of his calpol?

Time to go :( sorry to those I haven't had chance to reply to!

BigPigLittlePig · 12/05/2013 11:56

Kyz syringe, into cheek, and slowly squirt. I think it was pass who recommended blowing on their face whilst you do that too. Hope the poor soul is feeling better soon xx

fruitpastilles · 12/05/2013 12:07

BP pretty accurate there Smile
He's gone to bed now as he said he didn't really sleep last night they were playing on the ps3 does he think he's fucking 12 he's lucky I'm going out this afternoon or I'd be making as much noise as possible! My cousin is a photographer and as S is 6 months tomorrow she has offered to take some pics of her, she also took a load 1600 when she was 4 days old.

ValiumQueen · 12/05/2013 12:49

Fruit, I am glad your DH is ok, but agree no sympathy whatsoever. Can you ground him? I would.

J has just gone down for his first nap after waking at 6. He fell asleep at 9 but DH shouted at the fucking football on TV and woke him as I was taking him upstairs. He has coped remarkably well considering.

He had pear for breakfast at 8am. Carobel is ace for thickening stuff. I plan to introduce chicken and fish fairly soon, then lamb.

As usual I feel like I have been run over having had my first sleep in ages.

I had a bowl of parsnip purée for lunch. Is that wrong of me? Grin

ValiumQueen · 12/05/2013 12:50

It was roasted parsnip purée

BigPigLittlePig · 12/05/2013 13:09

VQ no, you had parsnip soup for lunch, not puree!

Sweet potato went down a storm here, a messy storm, but a storm nonetheless. I feed her until she loses interest, then she plays with the spoon and puree remnants whilst I eat. I've just removed potato from her hair, ears and eyes. Have yet to inspect the state of the highchair!

ValiumQueen · 12/05/2013 13:17

bp my spoon stood up in it Grin

PurplePidjin · 12/05/2013 13:18

Pass if it weren't for wanting another one, dp would find himself bollockless Angry

R wolfed down half a weetabix with 1oz bm for breakfast then 2 cubes butternut with 1 tbsp rice for lunch. Plus 4 good boobjuice feeds. Just dropping off for his nap now. Where did my grumpy monster taking 1+ hours to feed to sleep go? Hmm

Going to introduce dairy in a few days so he can join in family tea for my Gran's 92nd birthday. Exactly a year since we announced i was pg, best present for her ever, not sure how i can top it this year :o

He'll be 25 weeks tomorrow

GTbaby · 12/05/2013 14:14

Fruit Angry for you. I'd go mental.
YW thanks for tip. Of course I can eat in kitchen. Did it other day. Just was a bit shit Blush also every time LO made a noise I couldn't see him.

Attempting to go out tonight for dinner! Will be good to see how far I can walk n sit up for.
