Would have been very nice stunt

Well been as I'm having to sleep downstairs I've treated myself to a cuppa and some biscuits.

LuisGarcia · 06/04/2013 23:03

Ok, wow. Look, afaik, it's normal to get frustrated with an inconsolable baby. Be aware of your emotions, and get someone to take over when you need to if you can. Give yourself 5 minutes if you can't. L is insanely chilled compared to J... I will happily go most of the night with L being up, even if I moan about it on here, but we had a 40 minute rule with J at this point, he was that bad.

HAVING SAID THAT it's NOT normal to get violent with your partner because they are upset with a baby. That is, in fact, insane.

Kyzordz · 06/04/2013 23:20

Sorry you had a shit day pr hope tomorrow is better

Lol pass you and your dung spreader! Reckon we should have a spreader for the spreading of chilled/good feeding dust too? I agree totally, I expected feeding to go as easily as all that, and it's frustrating and upsetting when it doesn't :(

Our feeding here sounds much the same chasing he drinks fine when sleepy/asleep. He takes at least 30oz though, usually 36-40, just often a battle. I have tried letting him take the 4 he seems fine with but then he wants that hourly so would be drinking LOTS!

Agree with vq re the violence. Also what a little piggy j is bless him! :)

Am not shagging. Wish I was.

Hope you feel better soon gt

Am hoping to get asleep now, since sex isn't on the menu. Night all

TheDetective · 06/04/2013 23:27

Evening!

Thanks VQ!! Though do you know something I don't about the bank hols?! Still pissed off though!

It seems collectively we are going through a shite time.

I am really not enjoying being here. Although I am enjoying spending time with DS1 without having any cleaning or other shite to do so that's nice. We've played card games and yahtzee since 4pm!

We all put £1 in for a bet amongst ourselves on the National. I won! Gutted I didn't put a real one on now!

£50 on cheese that will last us a good few months! Raclette cheese. It's so yummy. It's cheese that goes under a special Raclette grill at the table, melting it. You pour the melted cheese on boiled new potatoes (or similar small potato) and have with pickled onions and black pepper. Sounds odd. But it's so tasty!

PR big favour! Don't suppose you could PM me your lovely mac n cheese recipe? If not don't worry I think you posted it mid feb as we did it for valentines! I'll have a search! I need something to cook for me and DS1 Monday when they have fondue. We do not like fondue! Most of the foods I make you can't get a lot of the ingredients vegetarian food? What is that?! so we needed something Swiss friendly to make! Think that will be perfick Grin.

Fatima I wanted to say what utter cunts his work are :( what does he do for a living? Are they able to just do that? It seems so very wrong. Have you found any suitable jobs for him to apply for?

MM Happy birthday! It's already tomorrow in Switzerland!

Sorry for everyone going through crap right now. :(

LuisGarcia · 07/04/2013 00:04

TheDetective can I help with either a fondue recipe or a mac and cheese, or are you after something specific?

LuisGarcia · 07/04/2013 00:15

Happy birthday!

kirrinIsland · 07/04/2013 00:35

Happy birthday MM Thanks

I have been busy all day so I haven't even skim read. I suspect I will have ample opportunity to catch up tonight though!

Good night everyone - hope there is plenty of sleep for us all.

Lily311 · 07/04/2013 00:39

Sleepdust run out before London I guess...

YellowWellies · 07/04/2013 02:58

Five hours, quick fuss less feed and asleep again - not baaaaaaaaaaddddd

YellowWellies · 07/04/2013 03:10

Woo relatched with gusto just as I was contemplating a transfer.... let's see how this goes Hmm Smile

ValiumQueen · 07/04/2013 03:13

DD2 woke me at 1.30 getting into my bed. I had to return her as she did not wake daddy. J woke coughing a few mins ago and decided he was in the mood for boob.

Detective the lovely Izzy informed me a few weeks back that all NHS employees are now allowed to be paid BH whilst on Mat Leave and backdated about 4 years so I qualify for Boo too but not A. Worth a fair bit as we have been off Christmas and Easter already. You should have got a letter. Contact HR when you get home. You can get the money in the unpaid bit of ML or go back that bit later or carry it over to when you are back afaik. Hope that helps lift your mood a bit x cheese sounds fab!

ValiumQueen · 07/04/2013 03:25

Well that was more if a nipple lick than a feed. Hope he stays down. Managed to wake DH though Grin

Ooh! Found more emoticons!EnvyWineBrewThanks must say I do love this phone!

Evilwater · 07/04/2013 03:59

Just waiting to see if N goes to sleep.
Evil

Pikz · 07/04/2013 04:31

Anyone else's DP take so long to get ready for a night feed you could have got up and be started while they are still faffing? Just mine then...

kirrinIsland · 07/04/2013 04:46

4 hours. Not bad at all. I'll take that.

ValiumQueen · 07/04/2013 05:33

Pikz oh yes. He has never done one because if that. J has never had a bottle at night but considering how long he faffs in the day..

Another wakening. Not sure why. Very cold in his room and he was coughing earlier. Did not hear any this time. His tum is noisy too. Poor wee lamb.

Well on this lovely phone I could just waffle and waffle. But I will not SmileGrin

TheDetective · 07/04/2013 05:44

FUCK ME. O must have heard my continual moaning bitching about the night feeds.

Last night he fed at 7 (bst) bed at 8. Woke 5.30 (bst) and in 7 minutes the bottle was made, chugged 3oz and straight back to sleep. Shock

Feeling like a new woman Grin.

I'll just assume he's not coming down with something and is over sleepy??!

He only fed about 15oz yesterday too so clearly makes no difference to the night feeds. Hmm

VQ I really hope that's true! Is it definitely NHS wide and not just Scotland? I've googled and found nothing about it! If so that would be fucking awesome. And I can rub that in the faces of everyone who said I couldn't get them. I knew we should be entitled to them!

ValiumQueen · 07/04/2013 05:45

Another nipple lick then. Bless him Smile

ValiumQueen · 07/04/2013 05:48

I think something as big as that would be hard to implement just in Scotland. There must be a legal reason as they are not just doing it out of kindness. Ask HR and if no luck contact union. And well done O!

TheDetective · 07/04/2013 05:53

Luis thank you for the offer! PR posted a recipe for her ultimate mac n cheese! I made it and it was gorgeous! Wanted to make it again! Grin

I just made the hardest but easiest transfer ever. Confused This sofa bed is impossible to get out of once sat up with babe in arms! I was squishing him all over in attempts to get up, rolling side to side beached whale look but he didn't even stir being plonked back in the Moses basket! Shock

Now convinced he is ill!

PetiteRaleuse · 07/04/2013 06:04

It'll be the lovely Swiss air Detective making him sleep better. Will PM you the recipe later on.

PurplePidjin · 07/04/2013 06:51

7:30-12, 12:30-2:30, 3-6 Shock the fire engine (or the amber anklet) worked!! I popped my nose in but by the time I'd caught up it was transfer time :o

Chasing I'm happy to offer black belt martial artist dp to teach yours about parenthood. Pretty sure Luis will chip in for a liftshare, anyone else think he needs a taste of his own medicine a quiet word? In fact we'll be up your way next weekend for GTi fest at the Pod. Anyone know a good cheap b+b in Wellingborough-ish before i book a £30 travelodge?

YellowWellies · 07/04/2013 07:08

Wahey up for a feed now - am going to try to convince him he needs another hour or so sleep after this because I'm greedy and need to catch up Smile Smile

Sophiathesnowfairy · 07/04/2013 07:10

Happy Birthday mm sounds like DP came up trumps yesterday. I hope you had a great evening and have a lovely day today Thanks

Sorry for all of you having a hard time and big hugs followed by coffee and pastries for all. (Or green tea and a poached egg if you are worrying about your weigh in izzy)

pass you did a fab job with your fire engine. Thanks mate! We got 6:40 - 10 (which DH did) and then I heard him talking to the baby in the wardrobe at 6:45. (His cot is in spare room between bed and mirrored wardrobes works a treat or entertainment on waking)

Jims · 07/04/2013 07:18

Another one here with a won't feed very in the day baby. Ends up pulling off and crying or looking at me if i speak or anywhere at all out. Think there has been boob on display a lot recently. Nice warm cafes (obviously my preferred place) are the worst! So he's reinstated the 3.30am feed. Grrr.

Interesting about BH and maternity leave. My work (civil service have refused). Union says i'd have to bribg a formal complaint. Quite tempted to if the nhs has gone with paying them.
