hi ledkr I'm here Grin . Have been away on holiday for a week

Emski76 · 13/04/2013 20:33

Higuys. Been wondering where everyone is.
Ledkr, completely understand why u feel how u do. I imagine that u built up a routine and life with Ella and having D has changed that but u will have that again soon.
I do feel tired ALL the time. Lack of sleep, working, toddler and 5 year old. Ledkr I hope ur ok tho, you do sound a bit down.
Reastie, hope u enjoyed your hols. Yes I did wonder where u were esp as u werent on fb either.
Best go. Watching The Voice with friends after having bottle of wine!!

wigglesrock · 13/04/2013 20:51

ledkr it's funny how things change, I was so used to always running around, wiping bums, never sleeping that I just never went out, didn't even think about it but over the past month or so I have suddenly noticed everything a bit easier.

The three girls will play together, and not need me to watch them Shock They were all playing the other day and I suddenly realised that no small child had bothered me for an hour!

All of which is of no help to you Blush but I'm with you on the tiredness. Tbh when Olivia was younger I went to bed at 8.30 once a week.

ponyo when Sofia was about this age, I tried the naughty step, she laughed at me and deliberately tried to get put on it Hmm Considering she was my most pleasant natured child Smile I never dared try it with the others!

reastie I realised you had gone awol Smile

All ok here, have been in a bit of a run of birthday parties and have suddenly realised that Sofias communion is next month - when did May become next month?Shock so need to get her some shoes and she's very specific with what she wants!

Oh and she's madly in love with Reggie Yates from the Voice backstage. Apparently he's very handsome, even more handsome than Niall from One Direction - it must be love!

wiggles that's so true. I realised earlier I haven't been out in the evening since before I was pregnant Shock . ledkr it must be really hard to adapt to, especially having done your years of sleepless nights and nappy changes etc. Dilly does sound like a handful too.

wiggles DH told me this afternoon it was february and Shock when I told him it was April! Hope you get the communion and all the excitement associated with it sorted easily. Grin to Reggie Yates

Ledkr · 13/04/2013 21:23

In the upside I got d to bed by 7 me n dh have had steak and a nice bottle if wine and watching a movie and its my lie in tomorrow.
D is a massive handful too yes and her and Ella don't at as such unless Ella needs a pupil for her school or dance class Grin
She starts nursery on Tuesday though so maybe life will get a bit easier.
She's such a character though and we are so lucky to have her.

wigglesrock · 13/04/2013 22:41

Oh we were living the dream here tonight. We watched the last Twilight film and I had a cup of tea Grin. Mr W is on the gin Smile

reastie - I did notice you were gone but didn't know you'd gone on holiday. I was near to sending out a search party. Grin

ledkr - get your thyroid sorted, I really struggled when I was anaemic and had so much more energy after it was sorted.

Ponyo - sorry but I was Grin at A kneeling looking out the window. I try time outs with L and it leads to a tantrum every single time. Hmm

I'm feeling in top form today I might even exercise because I had a lie in until 9 then a hour's nap this afternoon. Shock L has been waking very early the last few days so we're all exhausted.

We're meeting the estate agent tomorrow morning for a round of viewings, we're v excited. Grin

Ledkr · 14/04/2013 11:47

wiggs isn't the child in that film a bit odd and creepy?
D woke at 4.30 Hmm I think it may have been due to the thirty second nap she had in the car on way home.
She's sleeping now.
I'm full of cold and Ella feels sick what a bloody pair we are.
I was in bed by ten last night. I'm tireder than ever now so add. a glass if vino and I'm done.

Ledkr · 14/04/2013 11:52

Oh yeah. Due to ds recent success in the potty dept I decided today was a pants day. She was doing ok then two wet leggings and knickers later she's back in a bappy. I seriously can't be arsed lol.
Pil are chomping at the bit to come here.
Straw pil on whether we should just go to them?
Was thinking I could take Ella out and leave them all to be dozy together.
Ill take wine and snacks hidden in my bag and get dh to call ahead and suggest they buy some suitable food for two year olds and remind then that chikdren don't eat cheese and biscuits for pudding!

blizy · 14/04/2013 13:47

Hi all, I am seriously crap at keeping up with the thread now. It must be all of the crochet I am doing! I have managed to teach myself and I'm busy hooking for the wooly hug brigade.

Reastie, I loved your holiday pics on FB, you look fantastic!

Ledkr, totally agree about the creepy looking child in the twilight film, she freaked me out. I vote, you go to pils and leave when you want to.

Wigs, rock and roll with the tea! I was crocheting out partying last night!

It was OV time for me this week,,typically I came down with tonsillitis and now have sinusitis. No baby making this month for me Angry.

American, enjoy the house viewings.

Ponyo, I too laughed at Anya (sorry).

Hi emski and hobknob, hope you are good.

Right, I'm off to snuggle on the couch with my duvet and cat husband.

wigglesrock · 14/04/2013 14:23

blizy some of the blankets on the Woolly Hugs photos are just beautiful. I sent in some of the girls crocheted blankets. You must post some photos up!

Yup old Renesme looked a tad computer generated ifykwim Smile

Just lazing about at my Mums - Anna is running around in a pair of the girls old dress up heels Blush Why can my 2 year old walk in kitten heels and I cant?

blizy · 14/04/2013 15:05

Wiggs, I seen the blankets you donated, they are fab! I have posted some squares away for an angel hug, squares for a lady on our rainbow thread and I'm now bravely working on a full ripple blanket for little hugs. I will post a pic when I have finished it.( it may take some time though)

I sen the pic of Anna modelling her shoes Grin.

Ledkr · 14/04/2013 18:56

Hi blizy how you doing? Bloody sinusitis hurts like fuck I've had it before.enjoy your sofa snuggles.
wiggs d spent the day in Ella's crocs Hmm well not crocs but some fake ones from the car boot that mum got all the grandchildren. They are called DOGGERS Shock mum obviously doesn't know the other meaning of that word so was bemused at me and my sister bright red from suppressed laughter.
They can't wear them obv.
D off to bed now hopefully.

reastie · 14/04/2013 19:22

ledkr Grin . My Aunt and Uncle do lots of dog agility type things with their dogs at week ends and my Granny always used to refer to it as 'dogging' . She had no idea of the other meaning. My Mum and I struggled to keep a straight face (she said it alot!). Hope you feel better soon.

blizy well done you on the crochet. I can't crochet though I've tried. Thanks for your pm btw. x

Grannyapple · 14/04/2013 22:37

Hello lovely ladies! Have been lurking but just not posting!

Nice to see some sun at last!! Hope everyone is well?

Not much news here...26wks now & tiredness & aching now hitting big time. Plus ledkr I'm sure you'll sympathise...the talk of 'visits' post birth have already started...sigh.. Luckily SIL was down visiting last w/e & she was in agreement with me so have asked her to 'plant' the seeds for no visitors really til mid August..& that is on the presumption that'll I'll be late again.. Other SIL is pregnant so we can at least suggest a short visit here so that she needs to get back for the next birth (she's due 5 weeks after me).

Oh a woman on the July thread gave birth at the w/e @ 25wks...praying that the little boy pulls through, but v scary time for them!

Ledkr · 15/04/2013 16:39

Omg that's early! How is he? So scary for them.
Shall not give advice re visits as I'm obviously rubbish at sorting it out.
Dh still gets upset about it now

Grannyapple · 15/04/2013 16:58

Yeah he's still hanging on in there...they're just taking it day by day..

Ha ha...well MIL is coming down end may so I'm sure the discussions will come up but I'll just say we want to see how it goes.. Placenta was low at 20wk scan so if it hasn't moved then it might be a c section this time.. But sis is on standby for helping out...plus MIL is getting on & I think she forgets how tiring chasing around after a toddler can be..last thing I want/need is a visitor who doesn't do much to help, (you know, dishes, make the tea, or even cook dinner one night?)if that's the case.

I realise I sound like a right bitch..she really is lovely, but just a bit much sometimes & doesn't always think, if you know what I mean??

americanexpat · 15/04/2013 18:07

Granny - that's so frightening, I hope he makes it through, fingers crossed for them. Also, stand by not wanting visitors. Even if she's helpful, having a visitor can be very stressful.

We're putting an offer on a house today. The house is ok but the neighbourhood is great and very few houses come up for sale in it. It's been listed less than a week and they've already had another offer. I feel like we're rushed but I don't think we'll find a similar neighbourhood in our price range. [frets]

Ledkr · 15/04/2013 18:54

Granny. My ds2 was born at 27 wks and that was 26 yrs ago. He's the one with kidney failure but that's not cis he was prem.
He is now 6ft 4 size 13 feet!!!
american good luck with house. Fast work there.

Grannyapple · 15/04/2013 19:17

Just seen a post from mum..little boy (Oliver) has a bleed on left side of brain so next few hours are critical..

Good luck with the house purchase american

Ledkr · 15/04/2013 20:32

Common problem but not great. God it's so awful. I'm praying for them.

americanexpat · 16/04/2013 16:13

Granny - I never know what to say because I'm not the praying type but I'm thinking of Oliver and hoping he pulls through.

Still haven't heard from the estate agent. [bites nails] I thought we would've heard by now if they'd accepted our offer so I'm preparing myself for not getting the house.

blizy · 16/04/2013 16:45

Granny, that must be terrifying for his parents. Poor little dude, I have everything crossed that he pulls through.

I can't believe that you are 26 weeks already! Have you any names picked out yet?

American, yikes about the house. I hope you hear back soon. I was indulging in some property porn last night, if only I had a spare 2.5 million lying around- ahhh one can dream.

I'm Grin at all the dogging talk. Did anyone watch the documentry on c4 about dogging? Dh and I were in stitches!

I'm at a bit of a loose end now that my wee mindee has left, I only have after school kids every day and a baby on thurs, but they are all term time! I need another job or new mindees FAST. On the plus side, my house has never been cleaner.

Ledkr · 16/04/2013 18:15

I did blizy so unsexy I couldn't believe it. Vile.

reastie · 16/04/2013 18:44

Granny any update? poor little fellow, it must be so awful for them.

american fingers crossed for you and the house. Keep us updated, and if you want to a link to the house yes I'm really nosy

blizy ahh yes, property porn, it's great isn't it. I do that with interiors too with pinterest etc [obsessed] . Yes I watched the dogging docu. Tbh I'm quite naive and I was quite Shock about it ( Blush ). But they picked such odd characters mainly. All the women seemed to have alot of issues. Oh, and can I ask, this is a genuine question, do doggers actually wear those masks in RL when they go into the woods, or was that just to hide their identities? Blush Blush
