ponyo dh gets all my despair directed at him too.
I often think about ending it just to be on my own again and get those awful pil out if my life for good!!
I adore dh and he's pretty much perfect but when things are tough it's him I blame.
I was very happy alone you see. Weekends were nights out and everyone for Sunday lunch with lots if booze and kids all running riot whilst the adults watch football.
My job was fun and we had a right laugh and great colleagues.
Now I seem to be constantly run ragged and tired and dealing with dillys behaviour.
Dh's shifts are changing slightly soon so it might be easier.
Looking forward to some better weather now so can at least get out more.

RobinSparkles · 03/03/2013 17:54

Sorry about your Gran Ponyo. No wonder you're unhappy - you lost your dad not so long ago and now your Gran. :(

I'm another who directs their despair at DH too! I don't even know where it comes from sometimes - he's lovely but I sometimes just snap. It's awful and he's often like Shock. Poor love!

I've spent my sunday afternoon ironing! No, don't be jealous - it's so hard living this rock and roll lifestyle but someone has to do it Wink.

I can't wait for some warm weather either. Hope we get some!

ILovePonyo · 03/03/2013 17:57

Glad it's not just me ledkr, my dp is lovely too but I'm also happy on my own, he went away for 5 days last week with his band so I was looking after A, it made me realise I was fine and could do it on my own if I needed to! Poor dp would be gutted if he knew and it sounds really horrible, but it's more about me than him. Anyway agree about the weather, it was nice yesterday so we took A to the park and that was a nice change.
I can't really moan anyway, A is my first, you've already done it 4 times!

ILovePonyo · 03/03/2013 18:01

Thanks robin. Yes that sounds like me and my poor dp, getting my snappiness when he's not really done anything wrong!

Ironing sounds very rock and roll Wink We are watching toy story then anya's going to be in bed by 7, she only had a little sleep earlier so is a bit grumpy like mummy Grin

Every sentence this weekend from A seems to have started with "I want..." Gahhhh!!

RobinSparkles · 03/03/2013 18:05

I constantly get "I want bitbit" (biscuit). If the request is ignored she gets louder until it becomes a scream of "BITBIT!!!!!!"

reastie · 03/03/2013 18:12

Blizy the piccies of your celebration of Zoe on her birthday looked really lovely. I donated some money to sands in Zoes name around Alice's birthday as I was thinking of Zoe so much and felt so helpless about it and how tough it must be for you.

Ledkr I notice you are now with capital L Wink

Ponyo hope the funeral goes OK - is it near you or do you need to travel far for it?

Robin I spotted you on the how often do you clean your pjs/towels/bed sheets thread Wink

I'm pleased (in the nicest way possible) that wiggles has said she finds this age challenging. Makes me feel better about finding things difficult when even the laid back one can find it hard going sometimes.

Have a hospital appointment tomorrow for Alice to see if she needs to have 'special' boots/shoe inserts re: her walking. Then I'm dropping Alice at my gym creche so I can get an extra workout in - I'm getting closer to the 5 stone mark and I am a woman on a mission! Alice has never been left with anyone ever except family though so I'm a bit Confused about how she'll be, but I'm hoping she'll have a fab time and not want to leave, and she has to start doing things on her own eventually, my thinking is it's a gentle start to getting her towards nursery next year. Just hope she doesn't cry when I leave her. I'm such a softie - if she cries I don't know if I'll want to/be able to leave her Hmm

Ledkr · 03/03/2013 18:22

Wow reastie that weight loss is amazing. Share some tips will ya? I've been gyming and feel slimmer but just weighed myself and I've flipping gained weight! More pissed off now.
I just had an hour with d lying in front if the fire just mucking about it was lovely and I felt really bonded iykwim? Maybe should make time for that.
I'm just putting her in the bath with me as she's been bath objecting for a while. I thought she might like it and think she was at sea world lol

RobinSparkles · 03/03/2013 18:28

I think I may have over shared on that thread Reastie Blush.

Re crèche, ime she might cry but be absolutely fine once you've gone. She'll enjoy it - lots of children and new toys to play with :). Hope hospital appt goes well - what are they looking at?

wigglesrock · 03/03/2013 18:57

Ledkr I thought it was just me, I appear to have put on weight overnight according to the faulty scales Shock I do lots of just pissing about with Anna - lying on the sofa (living room floor is too dirty), flitting about upstairs etc, she seems to like it.

Reastie well done, A will be fine tomorrow. There might be a few tears but you'll be fine Grin

Ponyo sorry you're feeling shit, you know there's absolutely nothing wrong in having a bit of a wallow- you've had had a really stressful run of it, don't forget about moving job, it can be exhausting just thinking about all the changes in the past 2 years. I manage much better when Mr W isn't here, always have done. I'm quite a solitary person, not really sure why I find being with him so easy Grin

Oh and you're all very lucky being told "I want .....", Anna prefers "I NEED..." - It's very dramatic and I think we had 2 tantrums before 10am Blush

Ledkr · 03/03/2013 19:37

wiggs my body is weird. I can gain a whole stone in a day it's ridiculous.
I'm looking forward to the races in two weeks have you got any tips for me from the Emerald Isle?
Have a mumsnet meet up on Friday with getorf who I've not met before I can't wait.
wiggs I must tell you something which gutted me today.
Dil went clubbing last night and who was DJ? Only our Idris Shock
I was so angry I could hardly speak. It's a bit of a chav club tbh bit if still have gone!
Would you like me to text you a picture?

Ledkr · 03/03/2013 19:38

I really was angry btw not joking!

reastie · 03/03/2013 19:39

ledkr ignore your scales as if you feel slimmer I bet it's muscle tone you're building up Grin . Honestly I don't have any tips really, I've been using the web site myfitnesspal to log my diet when I can be bothered and just cutting portions, increasing exercise etc. I have soup for dinner every day and haven't had biscuits or cake all year except a small slither on Alice's birthday. I have a couple of cubes of dark chocolate a day to give me my chocolate fix though! I'm still at the highest end of overweight on the BMI scale though so I'm far from slim! Argh, gtg, Alice instructing me to do jigsaws with her, it seems participation is not optional!

reastie · 03/03/2013 19:41

xposted ledkr Grin at Idris. Btw don't follow wiggles' betting tips - I did once on the football and lost!

ILovePonyo · 03/03/2013 19:58

Grin at Anna saying "I NEED" haha, such drama queens.

ledkr I read that as Dil being Dilly, I wondered what she was doing clubbing Hmm

wiggles thanks, yes you're right about the job too, I love it but its knackering! Glad I'm not the only solitary creature on thread.

reastie massive well done on weight loss, you're brill. I have been comfort eating sweets and crap so need to pack that in asap. A will be fine btw, she may well cry but if you just go she might cry for a few more mins but then she'll be distracted and happy playing, I would put money on it!

Right got to go, got Fridays walking dead to watch :)

RobinSparkles · 03/03/2013 20:07

Wow, Reastie! I'm trying to lose a few pounds ready for summer. I started Monday and I haven't lost a pound! Although it might have something to do with the chocolate that I've been eating Hmm.

I'm going to start again tomorrow and I'm going to attempt the Shred again. I only got a few days into level one last time!

HobKnob · 03/03/2013 21:09

reast 5 stone Shock thought you said 3.5 when I saw you!! You do look fabulous, well done.

ponyo don't be too hard on yourself, as others said, two bereavements in such a short time is hard :(

ledkr I noticed your capitalised name too, you tryin' to get in with GetOrf? Wink

wiggles I need, that's funny Grin I just get the thing she wants repeated again and again and again, louder and louder until I can't ignore her any more! Although she does this cute thing sometimes when she gets really close to my face and says what she wants quietly with a beseeching expression, I can't resist.

robin I don't own an iron Shock [trufact]

DH and I are mostly co existing atm because he has given up smoking. O yes. He is beyond grumpy but I am so proud of him. 6 days now without a fag. I really hope he sticks with it it'll save us a fortune it'll be so good for his health.

Just had a call from a friend who had her son at the same time as us- she just gave birth to a daughter, am a tiny weeny bit broody...

Ledkr · 03/03/2013 21:18

Soup for dinner is that evening or daytime in your neck if the woods? Can't imagine having soup for evening meal I do like a good dinner.
I'm going to log my stuff on MFP I think cos I don't like being told what to eat iykwim?

ILovePonyo · 03/03/2013 21:24

Sorry reastie meant to say, the funeral is about an hour and a bits drive, it's down south Milton Keynes way.

ILovePonyo · 03/03/2013 21:27

Hobknob my dp gave up smoking and was so touchy, but did really well until a couple of weeks ago and now he's back on them properly Sad well done to your dh 6 days is fab! (And the grump will wear off soon I'm sure...) x x

reastie · 04/03/2013 08:05

Hobs no I said 4.5! Good luck for your DH giving up the cigarettes and hope he'll be less grumpy soon although given what you've said I'm thinking not a chance

Ledkr dinner to me is in the evening, so I have my 'main' meal at lunch (which is usually rice/veg/tofu stirfry. I make a big batch which lasts 3 days of lunches). It took me a while to adjust, and tis a bit Envy to sit there with a bowl of soup whilst DD and DH have a proper main meal, but I'm used to it now. I don't like the you can't have this/that on specific diets either. I also joined in with the ladies on the motivation thread on the big/slim etc clubs board back in July, they've really helped me stay on target and we have weekly weigh ins we all log on a special spreadsheet together. I'm desperate to get in my pre preg clothes - wearing a few of them now but they're still a bit tight.

Ponyo are you taking Anya to the funeral?

ILovePonyo · 04/03/2013 09:44

Reastie you've got good will power having soup whilst everyone else is having 'proper' dinner Grin I'm not a fan of soup, unless I have it with lots of crusty bread and butter which would kind of defeat the purpose I think Confused
A isn't coming to the funeral, we'll put her in nursery for the day and our friend can pick her up if need be. Reason is, my Gma "didn't approve" of children at funerals Grin so her many great grandchildren won't be there (which is fine of course)

Hope everyone has a good Monday, I'd better do some work I suppose...

RobinSparkles · 04/03/2013 14:07

I weighed myself this morning, I've lost 2lbs! Yippee. I didn't think I had.

Hobknob Debka, that you? I never used to iron but I find it quite therapeutic [saddo].

americanexpat · 05/03/2013 18:52

Well done to all the losers of weight! I've been rubbish at it lately, February was very busy with birthdays and loads of cake.

reastie - how was the hospital appt and creche?

It's snowing again, they've forecasted another 6-8 inches. [weeps]

wigglesrock · 05/03/2013 20:18

americanexpat it's been lovely here - lots of sun!

I've agreed to go in on Thursday and read a book to Olivia's class for World Book day - am I a terrible mother because I'm worrying about what to wear ?Grin Although I think Sofia might be picking something out for me - you know so I don't embarrass her Shock

Ledkr · 05/03/2013 20:30

Wiggles. Idris??? Comments please?
